Beachfront holiday rentals in Rarotonga

Great stay for our family with little kids. The house was just as described in the listing. The beach out front was quiet and shallow for the kids to swim, kayak and snorkel. The pool was a very nice bonus, being fully fenced meant we could relax without having to worry about the kids. The air-con's all worked well and the kitchen was very well stocked. A great stay, with good communication from Mark.

Excellent stay. Made sure I felt welcomed even when my flight arrived very late at night. I will definitely be returning!

Jaewynn was very welcoming and had put extra touches like milk in the fridge and some flowers. She was very helpful and when we had a hot water issue she dealt with it straight away. The house is very private, with its own parking space and lovey little garden. It is in a great spot close to the main town and the airport and lots of places to eat. We had a lovely week staying there.

Anchor sands is a hidden gem of the cook islands, we are so glad we choose this Airbnb instead of a resort. We have 2 teenagers 14 & 16 and this place was perfect for us, kids could sleep in their own rooms with out being woken up by other guests. We were able to connect to the TV and stream Netflix and Prime. But best of all was the location, the best snorkelling and fish - straight in front of the house. We would see the tour boats anchor out the front each (far out, not close to the shore), so that tells you its a good spot for snorkelling. But best of all was the view from the deck, we sat their for hours each morning having coffee, relaxing and reading books. Its close to shops, not to far from town (25mins), Go Local turtle tours is just down the Road, Same with Wigmores (who do the best ice creams), and some great restaurants too, like Charlies, Vaima on the Beach, Little Polynesia. We feel staying here made our holiday, it is an exceptional property and location. Thank you!!!

You cannot beat the location of this place! It's right on the water, super close to Muri and amenities. Gwen and Jojo make you feel welcomed. We had an amazing stay.

Julie and I would like to thank Lotu from the moment I booked the communication was first rate . The property was perfect for the two of us and was exactly as described and only had to walk out the back door to be on the Lagoon The fruit basket coffee tea even milk in the fridge was appreciated Also a big thankyou to Sala who called in regularly to see if we needed anything We couldnt have been any happier and didnt want to leave after our 4 week stay Once again Thankyou. Mark was great! Any issues we had, he was very helpful. Location made it accessible to muri and heaps of other beautiful beach spots and local supermarkets!

We had the most magical stay. Robbie and Suzanne and Robbie Junior were so warm friendly and grounded souls. The house was incredible amazing location and we felt so held and cared for in a very special place

Sunset Quay is a perfect place to rejuvenate, relax or a perfect location for adventure. We had a group of 8 adults- 3 couples and 2 singles and had more than ample space for everyone to get some privacy and the common areas made it perfect to gather, play games and talk story.. the pool was beautiful, clean and refreshing. We ventured to Muri a couple of times and we're SO happy we chose this location instead. Murray had more mosquitoes, snorkeling was not as good and there is no sunset on that side of the island. walk down the beach a short ways to restaurants, a beach bar and more stunning beaches. all in all, one of our best group trip locations ever! A beautiful spot right on the beach at Muri. It’s a great option for 2 people. The villa is about the size of a good hotel room with a modest kitchen. All of the Muri restaurants are a few mins walk away. We swam in the lagoon mostly as the water was so warm. Joy is a real people person - very helpful and genuine.

Absolutely lovely. The two totally private, walled in garden areas were a highlight. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. Rick, the owner, was delightful. Definitely hope to come back soon.

This place was the best we've stayed in on Raro for it's view of the sea, it's swimming pool and it's layout, two large bedrooms with ensuites and a third room with another bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would book again. The house was immaculately clean and the verandah views were the best for sunsets. The lagoon is swimmable at high tide and ok for snorkeling, and not far from Aro'a where there is good snorkeling. Eddie was flexi with our checkout which we appreciated given the late night flight out. Thanks so much for the accommodation. We hope to be back again.

Perfect house for family holiday. Spacious and equipped with everything you need to cook your own food but also walking distance to great resorts. Amazing snorkeling right out front but we also made use of the pool more than we thought we would. A luxury to have a bathroom for each room! Aircon was a must and each room had its own unit. We had a fabulous time and look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks, Mark!

Nice place , had some trouble getting hot water . Had family stay there and they enjoyed it and were comfortable

We loved our stay! We arrived late at night and it was so nice to wake up and find a few supplies in the fridge. The place is lovely and clean, in a great location and has everything we could have wanted for far better value than a resort stay so would recommend to everyone

Perfect.... Stayed for 15 nights, no issues. Accommodation is in a great spot, close to shops, restaurants and sitting on the lagoon is ideal. Adam and Sarah accommodated everything, and were very easy to talk to. Cannot fault the place and very glad we stayed here. Great value for a family...

This was our third time staying at Paul’s place. The house is fantastic. It was great to have a full kitchen as we like to prepare our own meals some of the time. We had a car so found it easy to get around the island. Very close to the airport which was handy. It’s not the best area for swimming or snorkelling, but the lagoon outlook is beautiful. We enjoyed afternoon strolls along the beach and ‘happy hour’ on the deck admiring the stunning sunsets. Paul was very easy to communicate with and very generously allowed us to check in a bit earlier which was very helpful. There’s a bakery and service station in walking distance which made grabbing a few essentials very easy, however we did a bigger shop at the local supermarket a 5 min drive away. We prefer to snorkel near The Rarotongan and opposite Chantal’s Concierge which was an easy drive towards the other end of the island. Overall a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price. You can’t go wrong at Paul’s.

Unless seeking luxury I don’t know why one might ever need more than this. Lagoon runs right to the deck but for a ribbon of white sand. Turtles and fish and clear water make for beautiful swimming and snorkeling in front of the house. Almost everything we loved that wasn’t at the location itself was close by. Friendly and relaxed hosts. A beautiful week. Will return.

Absolutely loved our stay at Tere’s. The photos definitely don’t do it justice. It’s super close to the beach and the house provided snorkels, beach shoes, flippers and much more. The house itself was clean and tidy. Tere was an amazing host and picked us up from the airport and was just next door if we ever needed him. Tere also allowed us to have a late check out to ensure we had a place to stay before our check in our next place. Thanks heaps Tere!!

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped with everything from towels to linen, and had a great space to unwind and watch TV (WiFi was great!). The location was unbeatable—walk straight from the deck to the beach for kayaking or spotting incredible fish in the water just out in front of the property. You're a short stroll from the local night markets for dinners (4 nights a week!) or some fantastic restaurants. Shona and Paul were the perfect hosts—friendly and welcoming, but gave us plenty of space, checking in just enough to offer help or tips. A newly added spa (not listed when we booked) was a huge bonus—we spent hours soaking after kayaking or when the weather turned. Kayaks are provided too! Bonus tip: chat to Paul about his legendary hot sauce… we may have purchased a few bottles :) If we’re back in Raro, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home in a fabulous location. Love cafe across the road had great coffee and free wifi. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable week. Dorothea was a wonderful host. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a great stay.

From the moment we booked—just 15 hours before arriving in Rarotonga from the U.S.—Janna went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. She was incredibly responsive, answering all of our questions quickly and ensuring everything was seamless. Her Airbnb was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even stocked with thoughtful breakfast items—such a kind and welcoming touch! Beyond the wonderful accommodations, Janna’s hospitality was unmatched. She shared fantastic local recommendations that made our trip even more memorable and even helped us arrange a day tour, which ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming, and thoughtful host, Janna is the best. We can't recommend her Airbnb highly enough and would love to return!

We have been to Raro before we will stay here from now. Prefer over resorts. This place absolutely beautiful and exceeded the pictures. Private beach front right at your doorstep, large spacious villa with kitchenette and ensuite. We could picture ourselves living here. Location is so appealing not from airport, town centre, resorts, takeaway spots and bars across the road from gas station & small supermarket. Best spot to watch the sunset. Only 3 villas no crowds very intimate and quiet. The host Jo made this stay extra special she treated you like family helpful in anyway, she had heaps of recommendations and gave you your privacy. Thank you Jo! Recommended to all our family and friends. This will be my go to when returning to Raro. Must stay you will be amazed!

If you've been to Rarotonga before, you know what to expect from an Airbnb but we were new to the experience so it was a little bit of a culture shock. The kitchen and bathrooms were not to our (Australian) standards but I believe the villa was typical in Rarotonga. Our other issue was finding the place, as the lanes are not signposted. If you are lost, Paddy's Lane is right next to the "Pit Stop" sign on the beach side of the main road, across from the new service station. The layout of the villa is great, with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom on each side of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped with pots, pans, dishes etc. and the laundry is lso well equipped with not only a huge washing machine but also reef shoes, flippers etc. Two kayaks are waiting for you outside the house. Internet worked very well. What really makes this place 5 stars is the beachfront location! If you like fishing, snorkelling and kayaking you can do all three right from the back of the villa.
