Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rabo de Peixe

Prima verblijf met leuke staff, locatie was prima op redelijke afstand (met huurauto) van de bezienswaardigheden. We sliepen in de suite, bed was aan de kleine kant maar wel prima matras. Leuke en fijne tuin. Gastheer Joao reageerde altijd snel en correct.

The place was fabulous, Roberto was a great accommodating host. We would definitely come back if we come back to Sao Miguel. The house is great for a large group, with large accommodating rooms, a beautiful backyard with an amazing view. Location is central on the island so not more than 40 min drive to anywhere you would like to go, 20 min to Ponta Delgada (the largest town/city). Only comment for improvement would be the air conditioning, it is only in one area of the house, not throughout, so the bedrooms can be warm if you are a custom to A/C in bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Roberto.

Tip Top! Klare Empfehlung. :-) Wir haben hier 5 Nächte verbracht und haben uns direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. Sehr saubere Unterkunft, ein wunderschöner Ausblick von der Terrasse + Jacuzzi auf das Meer und super hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeber. Die Ruhe die man dort ist ebenfalls unbeschreiblich. Hier braucht man aber definitiv ein Mietauto, wenn man noch andere Sachen unternehmen möchte, da man fernab der großen Städte wohnt. Für uns war es genau deshalb perfekt.

Wir waren 10 Tage bei Ruben zu Besuch. Wir hätten uns keine bessere Unterkunft für unseren Aufenthalt vorstellen können. Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter - umso schöner waren die Annehmlichkeiten von Pool und Sauna zu genießen. Die Wohnung war makellos sauber und alles Top hergerichtet. Ruben hat uns sogar ein Willkommens- Korb mit allen nötigen Dingen ( Käse , Brot , Früchte etc) aus der Region bereit gestellt :) Wenn wir mal wieder auf die Azoren kommen sollten, dann definitiv wieder dort hin. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt und hoffentlich bis bald Leo und Max

This home was beautiful, peaceful and a perfect stay to get away from life and be able to relax

We had a lovely stay here! The apartment is beautifully designed, with a stunning sea view, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious, modern bathroom. The balcony was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. There’s a popular restaurant right next door, and although the apartment is located a bit outside the Ponta Delgada city center, it’s a peaceful area with enough parking nearby. We had a car, which we’d recommend, but also walked into town along the scenic coastline-it takes about 30 minutes. All in all, a great base for exploring the island!

We had a great stay at Home Sweet Home during our trip to Sao Miguel! The house was clean and well kept. Our family of four, including 2 teenagers had plenty of space and all of the amenities worked well for us. It is in a great location on the island. It’s is pretty central so easy to drive to sites in either direction.

Прекрасное место и великолепный дом!!! Виктор очень внимательный и гостеприимный хозяин. Встретил нас, показал где что находится рассказал нам про сам дом. Вся территория утопает в зелени, а разные виды птиц все время находятся на виду. Из-за этого нахождение внутри дома с такой большой площадью остекления, дает ощущения что будто ты в лесу или саду! Мы провели в доме у Виктора незабываемые дни! Большое спасибо!🙏 Если когда-нибудь вернемся на Азорские острова, обязательно постараемся остановиться у Виктор!!

We had a fantastic stay at Tara & Edmundo’s place - the house was incredibly cosy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. A highlight was definitely enjoying our breakfast in the garden which overlooks the ocean. Tara was incredibly easy to communicate with and always replied quickly to any questions we had. She provided detailed instructions prior to our arrival, which made check-in a quick and easy process. A real treasure of a place that made our amazing trip to the Azores even better.

Simply the BEST! Max's house was absolute perfection for our group of 6 friends (3 couples). With a week on São Miguel, this beautifully quiet, coastal home was our ideal base. We all had our own wonderful personal space, while the living and dining areas easily accommodated us all. Mornings began with leisurely breakfasts on the veranda (and occasional dolphin spottings!), nights were spent in comfortable beds serenaded by the sea. We enjoyed cooking big meals in the well-equipped galley kitchen and exploring local restaurants. Max was a stellar host, no, actually the BEST host – leaving fresh fruit, bread, and wine, helping with local dining and sightseeing suggestions. Parking for two cars was ample, the pool is lovely and the nearby black sand beach was a rugged, stunning walk. We really could not have asked for anything more, it was perfection! 😊

This is a lovely apartment with an incredible view of the mountains and beach. It’s rather basic in decor, but comfortable. All in all, a very good place

De hosts waren erg vriendelijk en gaven goede tips voor over het hele eiland! Het appartement zelf is ook mooi en aan alles is gedacht. Kleine dingen als een wasmand, strandhanddoek, een dekentje en een fruitmandje laten het meteen voelen als een thuis!

What a beautiful home!! It is in a great location, with a gorgeous view of the coastline from the spacious deck and from inside the home. Everything was provided, we did not need to contact Fatima for anything during our stay. She let us enter the unit before check-in when we arrived earlier than expected. The place is very clean and well kept, you can tell that she takes pride in her home. She left a goodie basket of local food items on the counter which was delicious and very much appreciated! If you plan on staying in Sao Miguel, I would highly recommend this place!

“Compact” apartment but it has everything one needs and is very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, excellent Internet connection! Beautiful view of the city (south and east). The hosts were reactive and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood (and a quiet building) with a parking lot across the street. It is a walking distance to the city centre (shops and restaurants) and also to a larger shopping centre. I had a very pleasant stay.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und das Beste natürlich die Terrasse mit grandiosen Blick über den Atlantik. Die Kommunikation mit Sven hätte nicht besser sein können, er hat uns vorab bestens informiert, Tipps für Supermärkte und Restaurants gab es auch. Ein kleiner Pfad führt gleich neben dem Nachbarhaus hinunter zu einem kleinen Strand mit tollen Felsen und schöner Brandung, ganz toll. Wir hatten hier eine sehr schöne Zeit! Klare Empfehlung.

We had a lovely stay at Maria’s place! The property was beautiful, the cottage had everything we needed for our stay, and everything was clean and tidy. As a bonus, there was a very friendly cat on the property!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht - und noch mehr. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft über den gepflegten Pool und die umliegende Gegend mit Blick auf den Hafen von Ponta Delgado waren traumhaft. Durch den Hund hat man sich auf dem Grundstück jederzeit sicher gefühlt. Wenn man will, ist er der Best Buddy. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst freundlich, hilfreich und spricht sehr gut Englisch, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Pedro hat nicht nur Tipps für Sao Miguel gegeben, sondern hat uns auch Sehenswürdigkeiten auf unseren weiteren Stationen auf den anderen Inseln empfohlen. Die zentrale Lage auf der insel ermöglicht es, jeden Punkt der Insel innerhalb 1 Stunde zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Aloha to Ohm was a peaceful haven at the end of our long trip. It was very lush and beautiful and our room was very comfortable. Pawel was very welcoming and offered us a great dinner recommendation and gave us a small tour through the gardens. It was a great jumping off point for exploring the whole island!

This was a very well situated home that felt private and secure. The unit was bright and clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed. The bathrooms were clean and modern with plenty of toilet paper (could have used tissues). We were given 2 towels (one for home and one for beach/water activities) and a hand towel. I would have liked an extra towel for the week long stay. Storage in the bedrooms was great and loved the room darkening blinds! I personally felt the beds were too firm. The couch was equally as firm. For 2 people, the living room furniture was adequate but if you’re a group of 4 or more, there isn’t enough seating. The dining table seats plenty! The balcony furniture was great and my son loved lounging in the hammock and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk with a decent restaurant on the beach. A rental car is a necessity to get around. Being centrally located meant easy access to all the island has to offer. Great stay!

Cet endroit est absolument magnifique! On est dans la nature verdoyante avec vue sur la mer. On entend la mer dans l’appartement même les fenêtres fermées! On a pris tous nos repas sur le petit balcon et on a beaucoup profité du site avec la piscine. Un vrai havre de paix! José est très accueillant, on se sent comme chez nous! Allez visiter le village en bas qui est très sympathique, il y a un délicieux restaurant de poisson à quelques minutes de marche. Une excellente adresse où on a envie de revenir!

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

Wir hatten trotz nur mäßigen Wetters eine tolle Urlaubswoche hier. Das Ferienhaus hat uns sehr gut gefallen, besonders schön ist der Blick von der Terrasse und die durchgehend schöne und sinnvolle Einrichtung. Es war super in Schuss und alles da, was man so braucht. Und als wir doch mal eine Nachfrage bzw. Bitte hatten, waren Petra und George sehr schnell da und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation hat immer super funktioniert, stets freundlich und mit vielen gute Tipps und das alles dezent aus dem Hintergrund, so dass wir wirklich das Gefühl hatten, das Haus und den netten Garten für uns zu haben. Vielen Dank!

This place is just the best. Our whole family loved the house and our kids loved feeding the animals. Sandra was super helpful and patient with our crazy family.
