We wanted to have a good get away and selected the place. Really loved staying. Very peaceful and great lake view. Definitely recommend the place.

Shannon did an excellent job communicating with us and provided us with picture instructions on how to use the hottub, firepit and remotes for the heat and fireplace. She was aware we were celebrating my fiancé's birthday and was so sweet to leave him a birthday card and chocolates. We were also pleasantly surprised to see she had a snack basket, bottled water, eggs, bagels and food in the cuoboards that we could help ourselves to at no extra cost. She was extremely welcoming and allowed us to take our time checking out. We loved our stay at her beautiful home and highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay for 5 nights at Cheryl & Kyle's. Beautiful sunsets, dips in the lake, hot tub, sauna, well equipped kitchen, AC, ... A great perch to enjoy what the county has to offer! Hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended!

We rented the whole house for a family gathering as we were a group of 10. The house and gardens were lovely, very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Tony and Jessica were excellent communicators and super helpful. The lake does have shells, which is common in cottage country and water shoes are highly recommended.

Overall we had a pleasant stay at Gaylna’s place. The cottage was spacious and like the photos. The lake was beautiful and perfect for swimming and we enjoyed the interior sauna as well. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy the back yard as much as there were lots of geese poo but that was probably unavoidable. Otherwise the deck and the dock were clean and well kept. Gaylna was a responsive host and even offered to bring back one of the items we forgot at the cottage back to Toronto for us to pick up which we appreciated. Warning re: pets - We had with us 3 dogs which we had gotten approval from the host for prior to booking and ‘3 pets’ was listed in our booking. No pet fee was listed in the description or house rules but 1 week before our stay we were asked to sign a contract for $25/dog a day in additional fees after booking which we thought was unfair. Gaylna ended up waiving this after we protested however we would have appreciated more transparency regarding additional fees

Beautiful home, kitchen was perfectly appointed, great for a large group that enjoy cooking. Location was great for the wine lover, and hobby foodie. Would definitely stay in this area again.

Stunning views beautifully framed by every lake-facing door and window in the house. We enjoyed many meals at our home away from home. Very well-appointed and thoughtfully decorated. This is our third family vacation here and we will be back again to create more wonderful memories! Greatly appreciated the Peloton and EV charger!

Very nice place to stay for a small family or group of friends! Linda’s place was very clean, beautiful and in a very serene location. Would stay again in the future.

We very much enjoyed our weekend at Lindsay's! Nice little extras like seasonings and coffee in the pantry. We loved the two different seating areas, great for board games and chatting! With a group of 5 girls, something as simple as having decorative mirrors in the living space was great with one bathroom. Everything was clean and the back deck was peaceful. Clear instructions made for a seamless check-in, stay, and check-out. We didn't get to use the Sandbanks pass because of the cool weather, but a great thing to include! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful experience at Gail’s place. She was so thoughtful upon check in with cute New Year’s Eve decorations. The house has a beautiful view of the lake. Everything was super clean and the bed was so comfortable. There were brand new frying pans which I really appreciated. Gail was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there and recommend to others.

We were 4 friends celebrating a special birthday. Had a very relaxing weekend in very comfortable, well-maintained, and beautifully furnished house. We enjoyed vineyards, art galleries and Sandbanks park. The house offers privacy, comfort, and great amenities. Emma is a great host!!

Stella’s bunkie provided a wonderful retreat where we quickly felt at home. We appreciated the time spent on the deck, enjoying the stunning sunsets over the lake. The dogs had plenty of space to play in the large front yard, and our evening walks along the peaceful country road were delightful, especially when we encountered the friendly local farm dogs. We wholeheartedly recommend this bunkie to anyone seeking a tranquil getaway. It’s also conveniently located near amenities in Picton and the surrounding area!

Great long weekend getaway at Jodi’s place. Perfect for us and our 2 toddlers. Very peaceful and clean. A great hub for exploring the county.

My husband and I, along with our two adventurous pups, absolutely loved our cozy cottage escape in the Kawarthas! This place had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing retreat. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of privacy, even in a small neighborhood—those tall bushes really made it feel like our own little hideaway. Our dogs were in heaven, running around the beautifully manicured backyard with plenty of space to explore. Inside, the cottage was just as charming, with adorable, cozy bedrooms and a kitchen stocked with everything we needed, whether we were grilling outside or whipping up a delicious meal indoors. The kitchen appliances were spotless and felt brand new. And the view from the living room? Simply stunning! We spent countless hours just soaking in the beautiful lakeside scenery right from the comfort of the couch. Although we didn’t get as much fishing in as we’d hoped, we’re already planning our next trip back! Big thanks to Mel & Stu!
