Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Queen Charlotte Sound / Tōtaranui

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations. There was lots of room for the group of us. It had all the appliances and utensils needed in their kitchen. The hosts were great communicators and provided us with all the information we needed to get to the bnb and how to explore the surrounding areas.

We stayed for 4 nights - grandparents and three grandchildren aged 12 to 15. Very good location. Fantastic to watch the ferries and views of Picton. had a great time strolling around Picton and Waikawa Bay. Very good facilities. Very clean. May come back some day.

This place is a gem. We had such a great stay. The location was perfect, a beautiful part of the country and so peaceful. We enjoyed waking to the tui's in the trees out front. The house was cosy and had everything we need. Great host and very responsive. We will be back.

we had a 1 night stay at stephs place. it was in a convenient location in a lovely setting and matched the listing. great washer dryer set up! would happily stay again.

Great place to stay for a family. Clean, spacious and has lots of extras that make the stay nicer and easier. Also loved the treats waiting for us. Would recommend.

Extremely clean and sunny place brightens your day. Lovely touch with welcome bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival. Very easy with lock box to get in and hosts very respectful and responsive. Recommend for a Blenheim and Marlborough stay.

If a traditional kiwi bach is what you are after, look no further than St Omer Hideaway. Home away from home with all the essentials you need to have a relaxing stay. We ordered salads and frozen meals from Karaka Kitchen in Blenheim, which made our evening meal easy and stress free. The kitchen had all required for holiday meal prep. There is a pantry with herbs and spices, salt and pepper. As Elizabeth mentioned, do take your own preferred cooking oils. I noted aluminium foil, baking paper, kitchen roll, dishwashing liquid. We did take our own coffee pod machine. The Kenepuru Road is open and very drivable, although there are some unmetalled sections. Elizabeth’s instructions were clear and helpful. I recommend printing out the information or taking screen shots for reference. The steep driveway is typical of Sounds properties. It was very safe and manageable in our 4 wheeled drive vehicle.

I highly recommend this property as it had amazing views of Malborough Sound. Sitting on the balcony was very peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of heating which made the apartment cosy. There is a hot tub on the balcony to sit in and enjoy the views. Sky TV had lots of channels which was appreciated. Would stay again.

Kirsty's place is definitely 'the pick of Picton'. The view over the sounds from the balcony was unbelievable. We so enjoyed watching the Interislander come and go in the Port opposite the apartment. The building is very secure, safe ad quiet. The apartment was huge and easily accommodates six people comfortably. The kitchen was very well-equipped if you want to cook but there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance to eat out. We did a lovely Beachcomber cruise through the Sounds and we only had to walk literally three minutes down the road to catch the boat. If you are considering this property, don't think twice. It is truly superb.

Quiet, secure. Easy access to restaurants and pub; we appreciated the laundromat a short walk away. Nice amenities in the apartment.

This was a lovely place with incredible views of the bay & all the activities associated with the ferries. We enjoyed the hike to Snout lookout & the cruise into the sound. Just a note that this is a downstairs apartment .

Only a couple minutes drive from town the location is great for those wanting to catch the ferry or just enjoy Picton. Deb was very friendly and check in was super simple and flexible. Great room with everything you need and even has a washing machine.

Mel and Phil have a beautiful place with a great view over Picton. We had a lovely stay and were very lucky to have great weather! Would 100% recommend its got everything you need to relax and enjoy your time. Also make sure to visit Toastie Lords for a yummy sandwich during your stay!

Great little AirBnB. Very clean and tidy and perfect for our night pit stop in Picton.
