Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Pulaski County

Special VT graduation weekend made even more special with our stay at Walnut Hill Lodge. The house was immaculate and well equipped for a family retreat. The mountain views out the windows and from all the surrounding decks were spectacular. We watched the farm dogs herd sheep from one pasture to another, and appreciated the beauty of the surrounding working farm. Michelle was a great host with wonderful recommendations for the local market and waterfall hike. Thanks for a memorable stay at your property.

We were in town for our daughters graduation in Blacksburg. This house was a convenient distance, about 25 min from VT and met all our needs. Its really a hidden gem if you are looking to house family who are coming to the area to celebrate or heading to a game at lane stadium. The living space is cute and tidy and the beds are comfy. There is a goreous deck at offers pretty views and is the perfect place for a glass of wine at sunset. And the owners were so nice and accommodating! I highly recommend this property. ( *My only caveat is that there are a lot of stairs to the house from the parking area that might be hard for an elderly person.)

Great get away with beautiful view.

Our family stay included 7 people. This spacious 2 story house easily accommodated 4 couples comfortably. The kitchen lacked nothing! There were 2 full size refrigerators and 2 washer/dryers. The game room had 2 pool tables, 2 air hockey tables. ping pong, cornhole plus more! There were 2 video arcade machines with multiple games on them. I haven't played Pacman for years - no quarters needed. I highly recommend this place. One thing to be aware of is the walk down to the firepit includes a steep hill which can be avoided by driving down the boat ramp to get there. There was plenty of seating on the basement level and first floor decks. We didn't have kids - but if so they could have been easily entertained with all the games.

We had a wonderful stay. We loved the pool table and games. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake. So much nature surrounding the home. There was also a storm that knocked out power temporarily and the generator did not miss a beat. We were able to cook out on the grill that was provided with plenty of propane. We couldn't ask for a better location to celebrate our son's graduation from VT.

We loved our stay at the Trading Post. The space was clean and peaceful. The updated deck was our favorite park of our stay. The home was well stocked with everything you could need for family dinners. Bonus was being able to bring our pups!

Crystal’s house was the perfect place to stay with our extended family. We had some rain and so ended up staying more in the house than we thought we would and there was plenty of space to play games and hang out with the family. There was something for everyone from the outside patio areas to the trampoline and game room. We highly recommend staying here!

My wife has ambulatory issues, but was able to handle 3 steps up the front porch with rail. The master suite is on the first floor. The master bathroom suite has a low rise, large step in shower which was easy for my wife to navigate. All living needs are on first floor. Two nicely appointed bedrooms and additional full bathroom were upstairs and suited for other family members. Additionally, our host was very attentive to responding to any questions we had during our brief stay. As an FYI, we were in town for my son’s VT graduation. This cottage is a comfortable drive to the Blacksburg campus. I would highly recommend renting this cottage.

We had a very nice stay at the Sunflower Suite. Patricia and Gene's place is super comfortable, quiet, and spotless. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the morning. We would happily stay here again.

Superb accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Apartment was spotless and had everything we needed plus more. Katrina and Karroll were incredibly friendly and welcoming , nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel very welcome with some lovely treats. If we’re back in this area we will definitely stay here again

We enjoyed our stay at The Mill! The suite was far more spacious than we expected. Be sure to sleep with the windows open because the sound of the river reminds you of the beautiful setting in this charming town. The bed was very comfortable and there’s even a sitting area in the bedroom. We enjoyed morning coffee in front of the picture windows that provided a stunning view. We loved the restoration story and handmade features. Marcia was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable.

Our stay at the Roost was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the river access and hung out down there a couple of times. One of our favorite things was the lack of a TV. It added to the unplugged rustic experience we enjoy. Thank you Michael for sharing your space with us.

Thank you for a lovely and peaceful stay! The place and atmosphere is beautiful and serene. We especially loved the amazing out of this world dream shower!! The shower alone was worth the stay. I mean you gotta see this amazing spa like shower. Also the host was very kind and attentive and genuine. As far as I'm concerned this is a "must stay" if traveling thru the area. Thanks guys.

We truly enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. We were able to ride our bicycles on the New River Trail in Galax. This was our second stay at Brian’s place and he excels in providing excellent amenities. The facilities were exceptionally clean and everything we needed was provided.

Very nice conformable quiet safe place to stay. Henry and his wife were just wonderful. Looking forward to staying with them again again.

This is a stunning spot on Groundhog Mountain/Doe Run. We enjoyed time out on the deck with the tabletop firepit, comfy chairs, and it was completely enclosed so our dog could be out with us, which was great! Haley’s place was immaculate, well provisioned, had comfortable mattresses, handy to the Parkway, not far from the Olde Mill and the Maples Restaurant and secluded, tucked in to lush foliage. I would highly recommend staying there, if you love being in the mountains and woods, it’s a beautiful spot! She was also extremely responsive and very flexible, which we really appreciated.

Lauren’s place was amazing and she a great host. As a host Lauren is very responsive and she made everything very easy with clear instructions on everything that can be needed during the stay. All the amenities are as mentioned and everything is of great quality. The location is beautiful with scenic views. Would 100% recommend!

This is bar none the best Airbnb/VRBO we have ever stayed in…. and that includes our own!! My daughter even said “we need to step up our Airbnb game” after our stay. The place was truly spotless. The decor was beautiful. The furniture and beds were super comfy. There were special touches such as snacks and bottled water, a fully stocked coffee bar, games and bathroom amenities. We came to visit our son for Easter weekend and we were the first guests. I was nervous about booking, however, after reaching out to Tanya. I was put completely at ease. We will book this Airbnb whenever it is available on our trips to Blacksburg. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that after football season it is going to be hard to come by as word will get out as to what a gem Tanya has created.

Christine was an excellent host and this was great place to stay for our daughter’s graduation as it was close to her and campus and downtown.
