Holiday rentals in Preyssac-d'Excideuil

Nous avons passé 4 belles journées dans cette très belle demeure atypique. Nichée sur les hauteurs, la vue depuis la grande terrasse couverte est vraiment agréable. Un week-end de détente réussi, soleil, calme et piscine chauffée étaient au rendez-vous ! Mention particulière à Marina qui s'est occupée de notre installation, qui est adorable et disponible. Nous recommandons évidemment aux autres futurs voyageurs et envisageons nous-même d'y retourner plus tard.

Wij zijn 5 nachten blijven slapen in dit heerlijke huis, vol zonnige zitplekken en met een fraaie tuin en na enkele dagen vroeg mijn vriendin: "Hoe lang zou je hier kunnen blijven?" waarop we het eens waren dat je hier makkelijk 3 weken vakantie kunt vieren als je houdt van rust, wandelen, koken en kleine, Franse dorpen. Erg fijn en de huiseigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk.

Cette maison surprend par la façon dont elle s’organise autour de différents espaces mais se révèle très agréable à vivre. La piscine et le grand jardin raviront les familles et l’équipement de la cuisine et du barbecue leur faciliteront la vie. Marcella n’est pas présente, mais elle est très réactive et soucieuse que tout puisse bien se dérouler. Un mot aussi sur ce coin de Dordogne vraiment sympa où l’on peut pratiquer à proximité vélo, vtt, canoë et même escalade. Une semaine réussie.

We had the most wonderful stay! The place is incredible and couldn’t believe the amount of space and room for the money. The pictures and description don’t do the place enough credit. There is space for all the family and the central courtyard area is a beautiful setting for being together and eating Al fresco. The set up of the house made it perfect for the children with their own ‘wing’ with pool table and cinema room! My 81 year Dad was able to access everything with a downstairs room. The kitchen area is amazing with everything you could need. Every detail has been thought through. James is a brilliant and responsive host who was quick to answer any queries. A huge thank you and shout out to Louise and Richard who were so friendly, warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as perfect as it was. The outside area is stunning and the pool area is perfect! A charming French retreat is the perfect description for this fabulous place.

Serge’s place is amazing. We spent a lovely 10 days there in May and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s walking distance into the village which has everything you need, and the place itself is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful setting with its own lake. Serge was so responsive and kind to us during the stay too - he went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. La maison est très agréable et nous avons pu profiter de tous les espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. La maison, en plus d'être confortable et propre, est très bien décorée on s'y sens chez nous. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir y passer des vacances. Nous souhaitons remercier Stéphanie qui a fait en sorte que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible et en étant disponible pour toutes nos questions.

Valerie’s place is a piece of heaven. Beautiful and quiet countryside surroundings and the accommodation is an over 200 year old barn which has been converted beautifully to give a perfect blend of old and new including a fully fitted new kitchen and bedrooms with modern en-suites. The kids loved the pool, playing darts and table tennis as well as all the space at the back of the house. We had lovely barbecues out back. Valerie is lovely and gave us lots of tips for what was on and where to go. Either with children if without Valerie’s place is a perfect escape. The surrounding area is stunning with all the villages like postcards. With Thiviers a 15 min drive away, supermarkets, fuel, markets and restaurants are close at hand. A visit to Excideuil is a must. The chateau at Jumilhac-le-Grand was stunning and we also enjoyed exploring Périgueux. Whilst there the weather was hot and so the pool was great. We can’t recommend Valerie’s place enough, simply outstanding. Thanks Valerie. X

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end entre copains chez Dominique. La maison et ses extérieurs sont magnifiques (bien + que sur les photos qui ne lui rendent pas honneur) ! Nous étions 19 adultes et 5 enfants en bas âge et c'était la maison parfaite pour nous retrouver : la piscine est grande et très agréable, la maison magnifique, la cuisine extrêmement bien équipée (beaucoup de plats en tout genre, grand four, beaucoup de vaisselles,...), chambres spacieuses avec pour la plupart une salle de bain attenante. Nous reviendrons avec joie !
