“The more I say, the less it'll be to describe how beautiful the stay was. Arnab da is an extremely gracious and warm host. He made us feel extremely comfortable during stay, went to the extent of making tea for us himself quite a number of times. I strongly recommend this place for everyone who are looking forward to a quite and beautiful stay at Santiniketan. Most of all he will give wonderful suggestions as to good eateries and local sightseeing. He also has a bag of wonderful stories about Santiniketan which local guides will never be able to tell you. It's within walking distance from the campus, a cafe called Kasahara which serves good food and Visva-Bharati 1st gate. Do give this place a try, and you're never going to regret it. Cheers.”
The self-sufficient apartment is conveniently located, a stone's throw away both from the famous Ashram and the Sonajhuri Haat. It is very near to the Prantik Railway station. Secluded amidst soothing greenery and a lush garden, it is ideal for a weekend getaway, with all the modern amenities, including ATM and market right at its door.
“The location at Syambati market is perfect for anyone who wants to visit Santiniketan. Rabindra Bhavan is about a 10 minute walk away. The hosts are very kind and Chaitali was always available over messaging/phone if we had difficulties with the communication (I only speak English and no Bangla). The deer park is right at the house and Amat Kurti isn’t far either. I’ll definitely stay there again if I go to Santiniketan again.”
It is a spacious air conditioned room with a deluxe double bed;comfortably fits two people and a child. The university is a short 20 minute walk. The room has a tv, wifi and an attached western toilet fitted with a geyser. Shops are pretty closeby.
“One of the best homestay experiences that we've had so far. We stayed there for three nights and four fays. It indeed felt like a home where the hosts (Ranjana aunty and Anupam uncle) were really caring and engaging. With a smile always on her face, aunty catered to our every need and made us feel like a member of the household. Also, the room, which is typically a room on the terrace, is huge and has everything that a cozy home needs. They have a beautiful garden which adds to the charm of the house. The location of the place is suited for those looking to reside in a quiet and ambient surrounding yet connected easily to major points such as the Viswa Bharati campus and the railway station. Auto-rickshaws (locally known as Toto) are available at the end of the street, which makes visiting any locations completely hassle free. I would recommend anyone - small families, couples, solo travellers to stay here if you want to enjoy real peace in Shantiniketan with all the perks of tourism.”
