Stunning place and would definitely come back. The house is self cooling however does not have a traditional air conditioner that allows you to adjust temperature. This wasn’t an issue however it is something to be mindful of if you are very sensitive to heat. Overall the place is an oasis unlike any I’ve stayed in before and the wineries and towns surrounding it are amazing.

Great accommodation, spacious and very comfortable inside, fantastic garden. Santiago gave us all the facilities in the world so that we could feel at home. Thank you very much for all the attention you have given us.

An absolutely stunning property, with everything you could possibly need for a home away from home stay. Fantastic pool and pool house as well. Large kitchen/ dining/ living area meant that even with 8 adults staying it never felt crowded. Fresh baked goods left for our arrival as well as complementary toiletries. Tania and her husband were so helpful even arranging an early check in at the last minute. Genuinely is only 15 minutes drive from Bilbao and the beach, although bus stop is only a short walk away. Couple of restaurants in the local town are a short walk away. Comment from a past visitor about security cameras was over exaggerated, there is one camera pointing at the back of the garden and not into or around the house. Also felt very safe as there is the regional police headquarters behind the property 😂(but doesn’t overlook it at all). We will definitely be returning to this property and to beautiful Bilbao.

Everything is taken care of in detail and you can see the care with which it is designed to make guests feel at home. The surroundings are even more special: a charming town of Cantabria, with an idyllic landscape that invites you to disconnect, breathe pure air and enjoy the silence. We also want to highlight David, the host, for his closeness, kindness and availability at all times. It is very much appreciated to find people like that when you travel. It's been a wonderful stay. A great stay. The house is in very good condition, it has a huge and very nice patio. It also has bicycles to do some route around the villages, which has beautiful views and a river very close. A place to stay again!!!

We had a great stay, the house was very clean and Jose was such a lovely guy. He was always contactable. He gave us lots of recommendations on things to do and places to visit which we did and throughly enjoyed them all. The pool was beautiful and our kids really enjoyed it. Check in and out was flexible which was excellent.

We had a wonderful week at Maria’s place! The house was perfect – clean, thoughtfully furnished, and ideal for us and our two toddlers. Everything we needed was there, and we felt at home from the very beginning. The location was great, and communication with Maria was always friendly and easy. If you are looking for a quiet, historical, peaceful experience in northern Spain, this is it. The stone house is modernized and comfortable with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The kitchen is excellent and it was wonderful to have an outdoor space to eat and lounge and enjoy the setting. We stayed five days and there are endless day trips to take to nearby towns, beaches, mountains, markets and restaurants. Diego was a fantastic host and Marta opened the house for us. Both responded immediately to any of our needs. We loved it.

We had an amazing time! Thanks a lot for the owners that guided us to the house to show the route, brought us local cakes and were very helpful with the suggestions of places to visit. Very cozy house, very clean and with everything you need for a 10-star stay. The heating is very good and the pellet stove in the dining room gives a lot of warmth. We, who go with teenage children, have taken full advantage of the Arcade machine in the garage. Thank you for all.

A fantastic place to disconnect in a privileged setting. Ricardo and his wife greeted us with kindness and every detail. The house has all kinds of comforts and everything was very clean. Definitely a place to repeat!!

Spacious, charming, and impeccably located. We truly felt at home, rather than on the road, during our stay. You can’t ask for a better vantage point to explore both sides of the river. We loved the natural light and fresh air from the balconies, the only downside was the road noise from the buses and the mosquitos that flew in. We were grateful for a small washing machine and drying rack. Would gladly return!

It was a good experience. Noelia is very nice and answered all the questions. Even sending photos of what was in the kitchen so we didn't have to bring too much, etc. He also let us leave later so we took advantage of the last day. The house is incredible, it has everything you could possibly need and more. The incredible garden overlooking the mountain and the super nice surroundings. You have trails nearby, but you can also take the car and in 10 minutes you have trails with waterfalls, etc. The supermarket is a bit far away, but with a car you can easily get there and you can also visit the villages with super good restaurants, etc. The rooms are very good, everything is very clean and comfortable with views in each one. And the living room with the fireplace is really an incredible area to be at night with plenty of room. It really is an incredible house, we had a great time. Thank you Noelia for such a good experience. We'll be back!

The place, for a family with two children is fabulous. The views are incredible, and the urbanization is quiet and charming. From the terrace you can see the University of Comillas or Oyambre beach. You are next to the sequoias park and the A8 so you can move to other areas. The place is decorated simple, very comfortable and pleasant. Very well equipped. It's a place to repeat! Leigham was an excellent host. Very responsive to any and all questions and was able to provide numerous recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. “Number 8” is located in a small, walled, hilltop village with some buildings dating back to the 1100s. It is on a very quiet “street” steps away from the main square, cafes, restaurants and tapas bars. The apartment is on four floors allowing everybody to have their own space as needed. Three bedrooms with two washrooms … makes life easy, as we were a family of four. You drop your luggage 20 meters from your front door with free parking about 200 mètres away. Located in the heart of the Rioja a wine region, you are never far from some of the best wine in the world . In fact, you can walk to the nearest Bodega right in the village!!! If visiting the Rioja region, I recommend Leigham’s Number 8 as your home base.

Such a beautiful place! The property is just like in the photos — cozy and exactly as described. If you're looking to get away from the city, breathe in fresh mountain air, and enjoy peaceful nature and amazing views, this is the spot. There’s no WiFi, but mobile internet works great, so it wasn’t a problem at all. Big thanks to Maria Jesus for being such a kind and welcoming host! 😊

A highly recommended house. Clean, good layout and countless details. Fully equipped. Nothing is missing. We spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day there, and it was worth it. Many routes to disconnect. Amparo always answered in minutes. Quiet village and very close to villages with all kinds of services. I hope to be back soon. Many thanks to the hosts.
