Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

Serafina is a wonderful host. The apartment is lovely and clean. It’s near enough to town that you can be in centro in a few minutes by car, but removed enough for a peaceful retreat. We had quick access by roadway to Spiaggia Capo San Marco, a breathtakingly beautiful nearby beach. Serafina greeted us with a gift basket and made us feel incredibly welcome after a long drive. When we checked out she brought our daughter an Easter basket of goodies and gave us a bottle of spumanti. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, she just made us feel so welcome. Also she was very patient about my poor Italian! I look forward to returning someday.

A fantastic apartment in a peaceful place near the village of Sciacca with sea views. Within 5 minutes you can walk to the public beach and in 10 minutes you are at a supermarket and some bars. The village is about a 5 minute car ride. The apartment is full of comforts and with a comfortable bed, a good sofa and plenty of kitchen facilities. You park your car in front of your porch.. Communication with Vincenzo was good. Nice base for beach, Sciacca Agrigento (hour drive). We had a lovely stay (2 adults and 2 young children). Highly recommended, definitely seen value for money!

Really one of the most beautiful Airbnb experiences I've had so far. Valeria and her family kept a parking space free for us and greeted us extremely nicely and professionally. You felt like a guest of honor! The Airbnb was equipped with everything you need and we even got a welcome gift basket. Even though we were only there for two days. The apartment is large, warmly furnished, extremely clean and offers a great view of Sciacca's old town and the sea. Really big heart recommendation. 🤞🏽🩷

We loved the stay. 👍👍 The grounds are very beautiful with a great environment/landscape around it. In addition, the grounds are optimally maintained. Our 2-person room was also nice. It was clean and tidy. We were even greeted by the hostess with a homemade cake. The only point where we do not give 5 stars is the location in terms of accessibility to sights. Although it is not far to the next town, Sciacca, you have to drive quite far to the well-known sights of Sicily. Therefore, a rental car/car is definitely recommended at the accommodation. The two hosts made a very pleasant impression. Communication was very easy via the Airbnb app's messenger and you always got quick answers. All in one, we definitely recommend the accommodation! If you have a car, it's definitely worth it! We wish the hosts all the best! 😊🙏

We were able to spend 6 wonderful days in the suite by the sea. A place that has filled our hearts with happiness and love from the very first moment. Beautiful place with an incredible hostess. Laura and Alfred anticipated our every wish and made our stay unforgettable. I would like to emphasize that they are both very professional. Privacy is very important to them. In addition, there is this will to enable a perfect stay. The suite is a place of beauty and love. From beginning to end, a highly recommended accommodation.
