Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Port Elizabeth

Our family of four loved this place. It felt very homely. Check in fantastic. The host was very responsive and attentive. The beach is literally across the road. There are two lovely restaurants also a minute away. Petra’s lovely. Have a Roti. Dawn’s was great for breakfast. Miss Bernadette the house keeper came each morning to sweep the yard and she’s lovely. The veranda is great and the wooden wind chimes was a lovely touch.

This was our 3rd trip to Bequia and the 4th place we have rented. Each had pros & cons. Cons are similar to anywhere in Bequia (steep hills, water pressure/scarcity, barking dogs). Pros of this location far outweigh and include value for price, central location, proximity to dollar buses, walking distance to beaches and restaurants, corner store steps away, driveway easy to find, all the appliances you need to cook your own meals (including large lobster pot and leftover containers), high elevation for consistent breezes/cooling, great place to watch local community buzz, friendly people everywhere and safe (as always!), beautiful little geckos peaking around back and covered deck, Elrita is wonderful and seconds away if anything needed, fruit and veg stand pop up at the bottom of the driveway, great view, excellent wifi, various mattress/bed options, responsive and communicative host, and a lovely gardener, Hilda, who thoughtfully brought us fresh coconuts on her second visit. 👍👍

Desserie was a fabulous host. She accommodated our every need. The house was really beautiful and clean. We felt at home. Everything we needed was included. There were plenty of lovely white towels and large beach towels also. In the outside space there were plenty of seating areas for different times of day. Sarah was very responsive and helpful. It is a great location, with easy walk to restaurants and the beautiful Princess Margaret beach. We played hard during the day, so the nice comfortable king size bed was a huge plus. We really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous house at the top of Mt. Pleasant Road. Every morning, a bay view was spread before us (it changes daily as the yachts and sailboats come in and out) and a small swimming pool to cool off at the end of a hot day. If you’ve got strong thighs, we also jogged the roads near the house, but it is quite hilly. One thing to note is that the house is very “open” plan with large doors that create wonderful indoor-outdoor living. And the bedrooms have this same feeling with doors that opened to the back patio. The property isn’t fenced in. And there are no screens in the windows or doors (and no A/C). This means lots of fresh air… and lots of wildlife visitors. We had many lizards, large moths, caterpillars, a neighborhood cat, a rather large stray dog, many hungry mosquitos and one very annoyed hummingbird that got stuck in the master bedroom. You get used to it. We didn’t have a car, so we befriended a fabulous taxi service — Curtice Taxi (ask for Pearlette!).

This home in Bequia was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and thoughtfully maintained the space was. It had every comfort we needed—and then some. The photos honestly don’t do it justice! The house exceeded our needs in every way. It was peaceful, private, and perfectly located to enjoy all the charm of the island. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, were the house managers. They were always available, incredibly responsive, and made a genuine effort to check in on us throughout our trip to ensure everything was going smoothly. Their hospitality really made us feel cared for and at home. If you’re considering a trip to Bequia, do yourself a favor and book this place—you won’t regret it!

Sophie was an amazing host! The house was awesome with a phenomenal view! Highly recommend this place especially if you have 5 -8 people staying there. Sophie met us at the house when we checked in and spent her time explaining the property and the areas around to walk to. Sophie also arranged a car service to pick us up from the airport. His name was Jimmy and we worked with whenever we needed travel arrangements the whole time we were on St Vincent. He was INCREDIBLE! Very responsive to our calls and always on time for pickups. We REALLY enjoyed our time in St Vincent and this house made the experience extra special. Thanks so much Sophie and Jimmy!

Brandon is a nice guy...Made me feel right at home. His spot is just about 5 mins walk to the heart of city, Kingstown. Cabs and local transport right in front of house. Area is quiet with a beautiful hillside in front of residence. Overall nice experience. Cheers

This was a lovely stay. The host picked me up from the airport and dropped me off in Kingstown. The bed was comfortable, shower had excellent water pressure, and the AC worked well.

Errol runs the online reservations, and Zelley (Errol's mom) runs the airbnb. I had a change in plans due to a missed flight, and Errol was quick to reply and helped me adjust my dates. When I arrived, Zelley was just amazing and showed me around the apartment. The airbnb rooms are on the second floor, on a separate entrance from the residence, all with private bathrooms, closet area, TV, balcony, fridge, kettle, and access to a shared kitchen. Honestly, the apartment is exactly as advertised, if not better (the beautiful garden and yard are not listed)! It's located near the beach, shops, a bakery, a supermarket, an ATM, the best bars in town, and really near everything you need. I definitely enjoyed staying here. Thank you for the hospitality. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit next.

There are the most beautiful views and nice breeze on the terrace. We walked everywhere, takes 5 min down to the best beach on the island; 10 min to come back up since it's a little climb up to the hill :) The walk to the town and port was about 40 min along the beach, but it's such a beautiful walk, it doesn't even feel that long. Anyway, our favorite area ended up being Lower Bay Beach within 5 min walk from the apartment, with little bars and restaurants; and the most beautiful water and views. So overall great location, and secluded for privacy. The only minus was no AC, but due to the constant breeze it was ok. Would definitely stay again.

Great location - it's a short walk down to the bars and restaurants on Belmont Walkway, that runs along the harbour from Princess Margaret Beach to town. Beautiful view of the harbour from the loungers on the balcony.

Great view, modern and comfortable space! Really enjoyed our stay and host was easy to communicate with. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again and recommend! Getting there is a bit tricky but host instructions were very helpful!

Arlette went above and beyond to ensure my time in St. Vincent was unforgettable. She is an amazing host and I would never visit without staying at her place. The bed was comfortable, the neighborhood safe, and the AC was excellent; the location is strategically located for exploration. She arranged for me to have a taxi pick me up from Kingstown and to the airport. She knows the country very well and I highly advise fellow guests to utilize her knowledge that she's kindly willing to share with travelers.

Fantastic relaxed stay at The Sweet Nest. It’s very peaceful, well maintained and so private even when there are visitors staying at the house. Abbie and team very helpful and responsive with lots of information. 15 minute walk down to Firefly Estate for meals and drinks, a longer walk to town but easily done with a taxi back. Taxis so easy to arrange via what’s app around Bequia so we had a mix of outings and then quiet days at this beautiful place. A total switch off in magic Bequia.

Great place in a great location. Very close to the beach. Beautifully appointed, very comfortable apartment and really enjoyed use of the swimming pool and the roof terrace for sundowners. Good Wi-Fi and very comfy bed!

I had an amazing stay at Marlon and Cordelia's place! Check-in was seamless, and the taxi driver knew exactly where to go, which made our arrival stress-free. The location was central and convenient — perfect for running errands and getting around. Marlon and Cordelia checked in during the stay to see how everything was going, and their response time was always quick and helpful. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable — it honestly felt more like a home than just another Airbnb. P.S. The breeze in the evening was so calming — it made relaxing and just chilling out even nicer. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay with Dione and Kevin. They are amazing hosts who get the balance just right with making sure you are ok and giving you your own space 💚💛💙 The property is a hidden gem, walking distance to the beach - Dione showed me the short cut as soon as I arrived and a pool onsite to chill in. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. This is a beautiful quiet part of the island, locals are super friendly and are happy to point you in the right direction or give you a lift up the hill to the shops. Brighton beach is great for forgetting all your worries or regrets as the beach sign says this beach fixes everything 🌴there are picnic tables and cooking spots again I was given free food on the beach by the locals. There is a beach bar that also serves food and drinks at a good price. If you want to enjoy the quiet side of St Vincent and enjoy the local hospitality then I can't recommend this place highly enough. I will be back x

I would give 10 stars if I could, absolutely gorgeous air B&B! Extremely clean and smelled lovely upon arrival, lots of amenities and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed, the pool was an awesome touch too! Mostly though the hosts made this place so special, they went absolutely above and beyond for us when our flight was delayed and couldn't do enough for us, friendly, smiley, flexible and attentive hosts until the second we left, please go book this stay and you won't regret it. We wished we could have stayed longer ! Truly fantastic.
