Holiday rentals in Ponte di Ferro

This is what AirBNB is all about! With the proliferation of stale, outsourced Airbnb's it was so refreshing to stay in Layla and Matteo's stunning house. It was an experience, from the drive up a winding country road with the town coming into view perched on top of the hill. To parking outside the gate and walking through the walls of this ancient and tiny town. The anticipation was met when the doors opened into a beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated townhouse. There were so many thoughtful touches, breakfast provisions, soaps and more. The town was fun to explore with our children and they loved the little playground outside the kindergarten. It is a very quiet town and you will need to drive to access any shops, but it's so worth it for the special experience Layla and Matteo have created. My only disappointment is that we weren't staying for more nights.

Simonetta was adorable upon arrival. Always available, we'll be happy to come back. The house is more beautiful than in the photos. The view of the village and hills is magical. We stayed with our 4 children, the house is very large and spacious. All the windows overlook beautiful views. 7 minutes walk from a typical and sumptuous village (restaurants, small café…) Don't hesitate to stay with Simonetta you won't be disappointed in addition the countryside is sublime :0)

The house is very welcoming, Katrin and his son were very helpful and attentive in giving useful information (there is a 30-page manual on the house, recommended activities and businesses nearby). The house is very large and has a nice space outside with a beautiful view of the village. The village can be reached on foot in just over 10 minutes (with a nice difference in height) but the car is essential to be able to get around. From 30 to 60 minutes by car you can reach practically everything: Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Lake Trasimeno, the Marmore Waterfall. The house is complete with practically everything, the only flaw is the absence of the freezer, even just to keep the ice for a spritz. There is no air conditioning and if you spend the day in the house a little you miss with the very hot days we found. But at night it always refreshes and sleeps well. The stay was very pleasant and relaxing, highly recommended especially for medium-long periods.

Marlene ‘s house is spectacular , the decor , amenities, location , amazing host she was always responsive and friendly, the village is a hidden gem, all walking distance from the house right at the heart of a beautiful medieval town with all the charm the area has to offer , we also enjoyed recommendations of the host a fantastic SPA steps away from the house with stunning views , a complete Wao factor to add to all the great amenities . I would highly recommend Marlene’s house for a long visit or short trip, less than two hours from Ciampino Airport the location is ideal

Beautiful apartment, both inside and outside. House fresh even in summer, very clean and very quiet. Comfortable beds. Everything is new and comfortable. Exceptionally new and pleasant linen. Small but very comfortable kitchen. The host's availability was excellent. I can't complain about anything. I didn't understand what was under the iron grills in the courtyard and I was very pleased to discover that there are the ruins of an old house, also present inside the house under a thick sheet of glass. Beautiful renovation. Convenient location. Thank you for this wonderful weekend.

It was a special retreat up the windy roads to the castle which overlooks a beautiful valley of olive trees and agricultural land. With a very nice pool to cool off during hot summer days this peaceful place is an absolute delight. When you watch the sunset, the radiating orange sun from the castle grounds you will fall in love with this place. Activities in the area include but are not limited to hiking, horse back riding, and truffle hunting. A restful place, great views, friendly, peaceful, and historic that will feel like being a king or queen living in a castle.
