Holiday rentals with lake access in Pohjois-Lappi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Hem tingut una estada fantàstica. El lloc és preciós, tranquil i envoltat de naturalesa. La casa està molt ben cuidada, ben equipada i és molt confortable. L'anfitriona molt atenta i amable, ha respost sempre amb rapidesa a tots els nostres dubtes. Hi tornaria sense cap dubte.

Ons verblijf in de villa was fantastisch! Het huis heeft alle voorzieningen om er een goede vakantie van te maken en de host is erg vriendelijk. De host kwam speciaal naar het vliegveld om ons de weg te wijzen en aan te wijzen waar het in de winter glad kan zijn op de weg. Ook konden we activiteiten via de host regelen. Bij aankomst lagen er Finse lekkernijen op ons te wachten en toen het noorderlicht zichtbaar was, kregen we een berichtje. Erg attent! Ik zou deze accommodatie absoluut aanraden. We hebben een prachtige vakantie gehad!

We had a very good time at the cabin in the woods. It is a great place to watch the Northern Lights at night! The whirlpool and sauna is really great. We had a very good time.

We had a wonderful stay at Juhas house. The house is very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped with all necessary supplies in the kitchen and clean. We were a family of six.

This place and its surroundings are simply so beautiful! As much coziness, peace and quiet as you can wish for. And still so much to do and see! We recommend a day trip to Tanamunningen / Høyholmen as well as exploration of the nature just around the cottage, snow shoes made that easy. We were a bit unlucky with the weather as can always happen but the house absolutely made up for that: great sauna, fireplace, grilling sausage outside by the fire in the snow and playing board games and simply watching the amazing landscape. We stayed at Iras place for one week and we loved every second of it! We were surrounded by beautiful nature and could really calm down there! We totally can recommend staying there :)

Das Haus und die Aussicht sind wunderschön. Es war sehr sauber und wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten. Der Whirlpool war ein Highlight und dass wir natürlich fast jeden Abend die Nordlichter gesehen haben. Wir konnten uns sehr entspannen, aber auch einige Unternehmungen in der Gegend machen. Wir sind traurig, dass wir schon nach Hause müssen. Das Haus ist ein absoluter Traum und jeden Preis wert, wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Danke für alles.

We had a very nice stay at this spacious appartment with the 5 of us (2 parents with 3 teenagers). It was clean, quiet, beautiful area. Good sleeping. Friendly host and warm welcome. Responded quickly.

This is sort of an unique place. If you are looking for a quiet little cabin in the wood in order to reconnect this is the right choice. Certain aspects are a bit strange, but this is due to location and so on. Great experience and the hot tub during the night with the snow...it is totally worth it!

Paar dagen mogen verblijven in deze erg leuke accommodatie! Verblijft was goed schoon en makkelijk te vinden! De host gaf vlak na de boeking en kort voor aankomst veel informatie over de accommodatie en over activiteiten en bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving! Contact met de host was erg goed, zeer vriendelijk en reageerde vlot. Echt een aanrader!!

Wir waren Anfang März 2025 bei Rafi. Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit! Mit einem Mietwagen haben wir die Unterkunft gut erreicht und waren immer super flexibel. Alle waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit! Wir durften zu den Rentieren und diese auch Füttern, das war super. Das Essen und das Frühstück waren ausreichen und sehr lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zwei Nächte dort. Das Apartment entspricht der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Die Vermieterinnen sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir durften einen ihrer selbstgefangenen und geräucherten Fische probieren. Dieser war sehr lecker. Auf dem Steg könnten wir bei gutem Wetter Polarlichter beobachten. Es ist ein sehr idyllischenr und ruhiger Ort.

Juhani est très accueillant et aimable. Il a répondu à toute nos questions concernant l’accès et à même acheté des équipement supplémentaire. Malheureusement les condition climatique extrême (-30°) et un accès totalement enneigé en pleine nuit nous on contraint à marcher dans la poudreuse, le froid quant à lui nous a aussi contraint à écourter notre séjour mais ce cottage est un havre de paix , parfaitement situé au bord du lac avec l’électricité, ce dernier a tout le confort nécessaire. Merci à Juhani d’avoir accepté d’écourter notre séjour et pour toute sa bienveillance. En hiver je conseille ce logement à des sportifs pour y accéder et des personnes habituées à des conditions de vie en pleine nature.

Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Petteri hat sich ab dem Moment unserer Buchung bemüht und es war sehr einfach mit ihm in Kontakt zu treten. Ausflüge konnten auch schon vor Antritt der Reise über ihn gebucht werden und wir konnten mit einem guten Gefühl die Reise antreten. Der Urlaub selbst war ein Traum und die Unterkunft exakt wie auf den Fotos. Petteri hat sich sehr bemüht uns einen einmaligen Urlaub zu ermöglichen und ist ein sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Host. Wir hätten es uns nicht besser vorstellen können und können dieses Airbnb nur weiterempfehlen.

Mökki sijaitsee hienolla paikalla ja sinne oli helppo mennä. Mökki toimii erittäin esim. kalastavan porukan tukikohtana. Mökillä on kaikki tarpeellinen. Myös hyvät ja selkeät ohjeet helpottavat kävijää tullessa ja lähtiessä. Varmasti tulee varattua uudelleen tarpeen tullen.

Marika is a responsive host that answers any questions pretty much right away. The property is perfect for a small getaway with your loved ones - warm and cozy. 10 out of 10!

Wir haben es absolut geliebt! Die Hütte ist total heimelig und lädt zu gemütlichen Spielenachmittagen vor dem flackernden Ofen ein. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sogar Basislebensmittel wie Mehl, Tee, div. Gewürze, Nudeln, Reis, etc. waren vorhanden. Nicht unwichtig wenn der nächste Supermarkt 70km entfernt ist. Keine fünf Gehminuten ist der See entfernt, ein perfekter Ort zum Polarlichter schauen. Freie Sicht in alle Richtungen, sofern es die Wolken zulassen ;-) Keine nennenswerte Lichtverschmutzung in der Umgebung, ein Traum. Tero hat uns auf Anfrage diverse Aktivitäten empfohlen, wodurch wir Janne, den Rentierzüchter in Unari kennengelernt haben. Das war wirklich eine besondere Erfahrung, zwischen hunderten von Rentieren zu stehen, die sich wie wild ums Futter getummelt haben. Wir sind uns wie in einer Tierdoku vorgekommen ;-) Also wer es gerne abgeschieden mag, ist hier genau richtig :-D

Aivan ihana paikka, hinta-laatusuhde kohdallaan. Utsjoella upean luonnon keskellä, mahtavan ystävälliset majoittajat. mökistä löytyy kaikki mitä tarvitsee, pesuvesi ja sauna lämpeävät näppärästi sähköllä, vedet saa haettua avannosta talvella. järven vesi juomakelpoista ja hyvää. Aidattu alue joten ihanan turvallinen koiran kanssa. Tämä ei ollut ensimmäinen eikä varmasti viimeinen kerta Utsjoen mökillä, meidän lempparipaikka!

Fantastic wilderness cabin in a great location. We stayed during mid march and the fire stove kept us plenty warm throughout the day and night. The last logs put on the fire at night would keep the cabin above +10 C the following morning even when -16 C outside. The cabin has everything you need and then some for people who love the outdoors. Jori was always available online to give information and tips on ice fishing. We caught 3 fish on our first ever ice fishing experience. The lake can be explored on foot but snow shoes help. There is plenty to explore with other wilderness huts reachable by hiking on some of the islands. Views of the northern lights were spectacular on the lake. Remember to take plenty of water with you, particularly in winter so you don't have to collect from frozen lake. Would definitely love to come back some day.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Unterkunft gefühlt! Es waren sehr ruhige und angenehme Tage, perfekt zum komplett ausschalten und einfach sein. Jenny war sehr hilfsbereit und hat immer schnell und präzise auf unsere Nachrichten geantwortet! Vielen Dank!

Dear Johanna, we really enjoyed your cozy house by the lake. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The house is in a very idyllic location and we even had a visit from a reindeer. If we come to Lapland again, we will definitely stay in your house again. Thank you very much.

Localisation : superbe endroit isolé près d'un lac. silence apaisant. Belle nature. Il faut être en voiture. Le logement est très cozy surtout le soir avec le type d'éclairage. Pour cuisiner, il y a un poêle à bois ancien avec plaque en fonte et à côté une plaque à induction. Donc si vous voulez cuisiner avec plus de 2 casseroles, l'induction ne suffit pas. Magnifique poêle de masse qui permet de belles flambées et facile d'utilisation. Un mode d'emploi très bien fait est fourni. Sauna à bois ce qui est plus agréable que le sauna électrique, super odeur de bois. On n'y prête pas attention sur le plan mais il faut passer par la terrasse donc l'extérieur pour aller du séjour à la salle de bain et wc. Cela se fait très bien même la nuit :) par -15°. C'est original et on se sent encore plus en Finlande !! Accessoires de cuisine en nombre suffisant, bonne literie. Rideaux occultants à toutes les fenêtres. On s'y sent bien. Nous recommandons ! 😊
