Holiday rentals with lake access in Pohjois-Lappi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

We had a great stay. The place is beautiful, quiet and surrounded by nature. The house is very well cared for, well equipped and very comfortable. Very responsive and friendly host, always responded promptly to all our concerns. I would definitely go back there.

We loved our stay at Jyrkis beautiful villa. It had everything one could wish for - sauna, hotpot, ice for bathing, equipment for snowhiking and cross country skiing. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights from the pool and do a barbecue at the kota. Nothing more to wish for - the stay was perfect and jyrki a very lovely host!

We had a very good time at the cabin in the woods. It is a great place to watch the Northern Lights at night! The whirlpool and sauna is really great. We had a very good time.

We had a wonderful stay at Juhas house. The house is very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped with all necessary supplies in the kitchen and clean. We were a family of six.

This place and its surroundings are simply so beautiful! As much coziness, peace and quiet as you can wish for. And still so much to do and see! We recommend a day trip to Tanamunningen / Høyholmen as well as exploration of the nature just around the cottage, snow shoes made that easy. We were a bit unlucky with the weather as can always happen but the house absolutely made up for that: great sauna, fireplace, grilling sausage outside by the fire in the snow and playing board games and simply watching the amazing landscape. We stayed at Iras place for one week and we loved every second of it! We were surrounded by beautiful nature and could really calm down there! We totally can recommend staying there :)

We had a wonderful stay here. One of the most beautiful and peaceful places we've ever been. The sauna and hot tub were perfect to get out of the cold, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen/ living area was well done and had everything we needed. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights just walking outside. We couldn't have asked for more and will certainly be back!

We had a very nice stay at this spacious appartment with the 5 of us (2 parents with 3 teenagers). It was clean, quiet, beautiful area. Good sleeping. Friendly host and warm welcome. Responded quickly.

This is sort of an unique place. If you are looking for a quiet little cabin in the wood in order to reconnect this is the right choice. Certain aspects are a bit strange, but this is due to location and so on. Great experience and the hot tub during the night with the snow...it is totally worth it!

I had a magical time at Rafi. My host was wonderful and he went beyondand above to make surewe had thebest time while we are there. The hot tub was also great! It is a must if you are staying at Rafi. My only regret was that I was only there forone night. Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience!

The cabin was clean and cosy. It is about 15 mins driveble distance – northwest of Ivalo. The cabin is in a quite and beautiful area. The location is very nice – Lake Inari view. During winter when the lake is frozen, you can even walk on the lake – directly from the pier at the cabin. Aino (host) is super helpful and very responsive to any inquiries.

Juhani is very friendly and kind. He answered all our questions about access and even bought additional equipment. Unfortunately the extreme climatic conditions (-30°) and a totally snowy access in the middle of the night forced us to walk in the powder, the cold also forced us to shorten our stay but this cottage is a haven of peace , perfectly located by the lake with electricity, the latter has all the necessary comforts. Thank you to Juhani for agreeing to shorten our stay and for all his kindness. In winter I recommend this accommodation to athletes to access it and people accustomed to living conditions in the heart of nature.

We felt very comfortable from the beginning. Petteri made an effort from the moment we booked and it was very easy to get in touch with. Excursions could also be booked through him before the trip and we were able to start the trip with a good feeling. The holiday itself was a dream and the accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos. Petteri has made every effort to provide us with a unique vacation and is a very accommodating and friendly host. We couldn't have imagined it better and can only recommend this Airbnb.

The accommodation is definitely perfect to have a peaceful stay in the nature. Everything we need is there, we enjoyed a lot the sauna and had the chance to see northern lights! Thank you!

Marika is a responsive host that answers any questions pretty much right away. The property is perfect for a small getaway with your loved ones - warm and cozy. 10 out of 10!

We absolutely loved it! The cabin is totally homely and invites you to cozy games afternoons in front of the flickering oven. The kitchen is well equipped, even basic food such as flour, tea, various Spices, pasta, rice, etc. were available. Not unimportant if the nearest supermarket is 70km away. The lake is less than a five minute walk away, a perfect spot to look at the aurora lights. Unobstructed view in all directions, as far as the clouds allow ;-) No noteworthy light pollution in the area, a dream. Tero recommended various activities on request, so we met Janne, the reindeer in Unari. This was truly a special experience to stand among hundreds of reindeer who have been fuming around the food like wild. We felt like we were in an animal documentary;-) So if you like it secluded, this is the place to be:-D

Lovely place, value for money. In Utsjoki amidst the magnificent nature, great friendly hosts. the cottage has everything you need, the washing water and sauna warm up neatly with electricity, the water can be picked up from the opening in the winter. the water of the lake is drinkable and good. Gated area so wonderfully safe with a dog. This wasn't the first, and certainly not the last time at the Utsjoki cottage, our favorite place!

Fantastic wilderness cabin in a great location. We stayed during mid march and the fire stove kept us plenty warm throughout the day and night. The last logs put on the fire at night would keep the cabin above +10 C the following morning even when -16 C outside. The cabin has everything you need and then some for people who love the outdoors. Jori was always available online to give information and tips on ice fishing. We caught 3 fish on our first ever ice fishing experience. The lake can be explored on foot but snow shoes help. There is plenty to explore with other wilderness huts reachable by hiking on some of the islands. Views of the northern lights were spectacular on the lake. Remember to take plenty of water with you, particularly in winter so you don't have to collect from frozen lake. Would definitely love to come back some day.

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation! It was very quiet and pleasant days, perfect for turning off completely and being easy. Jenny was very helpful and always responded quickly and accurately to our messages! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent at Olli and Una’s cabin. The cabin is very cozy - we built fires every night that we were there with the firewood that was provided. The cabin is at the end of the road so it was very peaceful. We ate our breakfast in the cabin very day and felt that the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable!
