Family-friendly holiday rentals in Platanos

Mein Freund und ich waren 5 Tage in der Unterkunft und waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss eines schönen modernen Hauses. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Hervorzuheben ist die schöne Terrasse mit Whirlpool. Die Lage ist super. Es sind circa 15 Minuten Autofahrt bis zum Zentrum Chanias. Mehrere Strände sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Das Haus selbst ist ruhig gelegen. Es bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt, um Kreta zu erkunden. Katerina und ihr Mann sind tolle Gastgeber. Bei Ankunft erwartete uns ein frischer griechischer Salat, Orangen und Wein. Wir bekamen ein paar Tage später frisches Gemüse aus dem Garten. Katerina war stets erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Insgesamt würden wir die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen! 5/5 Sterne!

Es war super schön hier. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos. Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern. Man ist ein bisschen am Berg oben, was super schön ist, da es dort viel ruhiger ist. In die Stadt und zum Strand kommt man super zu Fuß. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Amazing home.

Unser Aufenthalt in Chania war wunderbar. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und die Aussenbereiche wunderschön. Ioanna war sehr gut erreichbar und freundlich.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Wochen in Manos House verbracht, das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, es hat einen sehr schönen Garten in dem man wunderbar verweilen kann, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand und den Restaurants entfernt. Abends haben wir bei einem Glas Wein auf dem Balkon gesessen auf und den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Stavros ist ein kleiner ruhiger Ort in dem man sehr schnell in den Urlaubsmodus kommt und die Zeit einfach nur genießen kann. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

Se amate una vacanza fuori dai sentieri conosciuti, lontano dalla folla delle località turistiche... questo è il vostro posto. La casa si trova in un piccolo villaggio attaccato alla roccia con una vista mozzafiato sulla gola di Rokka. La terrazza che dividerete con altri ospiti, è perfetta per godersi la colazione o l'aperitivo. Da sapere che ci sono dei gatti che vengono alla ricerca di cibo... per eventuali allergici.. Marianna ci ha fatto trovare del cibo per la prima sera ed è sempre stata reattiva per risolvere qualsiasi quesito o problema. Rokka è il posto ideale per esplorare le spiagge del nord ovest dell'isola e Chania. Per le spiaggie a sud ovest ci vuole almeno un'ora di macchina. Portiamo via con noi dei ricordi bellissimi Grazie

Cannot overstate what a great experience this was, thanks to the atmosphere of the place and to Giannis's kind and attentive hosting. Beautiful accommodation on 3 floors, with indoor and outdoor spaces. We were in the heart of the lively Old Town, yet felt private and quiet at night. Ideal base from which to explore western Crete.

El apartamento es tal cual se ve en las fotos, la terraza es enorme, muy fresca, cómoda para desayunar, comer o cenar viendo el mar. Costas siempre estuvo disponible, y nos dejó una cesta de frutas, magdalenas y chocolatinas. La zona es fantástica para pasar unos días y conocer parte de la isla, es una zona turística pero muy tranquila y cómoda, alado del precioso pueblo de Chania, la Canea que es maravilloso y desde el apartamento se puede llegar andando con un precioso paseo de una hora, en coche son menos de 10 minutos y en autobús que para alado de casa también. Todo muy cómodo. La playa también está bien y la de alado es muy bonita.

Superbe maison, très bien située , endroit très calme et reposant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maman de Gregoris nous a très amicalement accueillis et nous a fourni d excellents conseils. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Andreas und Georgia waren unglaublich gastfreundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar, wenn man Fragen hatte. Gleichzeitig haben sie einem aber auch alle Freiheiten gelassen. Besonders schön fand ich die kleinen persönlichen Aufmerksamkeiten, die den Aufenthalt wirklich besonders gemacht haben. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles – ihr seid fantastische Gastgeber!

The place is just amazing, it is actually better than in the pictures. The outside space is great, you have gorgeous sea views and a nice garden - sun, shade, whatever you like. The garden includes an outdoor shower, a barbecue, and an additional washing machine/toilet area. Inside is great as well. It has been so well planned, that there is not one unneccesarry piece of furniture/equipment and at the same time it had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well equipped. Every piece od furniture is carefully selected, as it absolutely everything in the house. The esthetics really stroke a cord with me. I loved being there, miss those breakfasts or afternoons - soaking up the views - in the garden. Irene, who welcomed us, was very kind and forthcoming. Great place, truly recommended.

Great place. Great location. Kitchen was a bit small for the size of the space, but very workable. Air conditioning on the first level for the common space didn’t work (we notified the owner but were told we were wrong - we weren’t). But that didn’t really affect our stay. If the weather was hotter I could see it being an issue. But overall, we really enjoyed the rental.

Pobyt był wspaniały. Mieszkan ie z klimatem, urocze i nastrojowe, w sercu starego miasta. Każdy znalazł tam swoje miejsce. Cudowny taras z widokiem na zatokę i widokiem na wenecki port. wieczorami idealny do obswrrwowania życia miasta. zdarzają się koncerty w gratisie ;). kuchnia swietnie wyposarzona. Nina pomocna we wszystkim.

Wir wurden sofort super herzlich vom Vermieter empfangen. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft schön, der Anblick kaum zu beschreiben. Die Zimmer und die Anlage waren sehr gepflegt. Der Vermieter super nett, aber gar nicht aufdringlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

We really loved our stay in the Villa during the Easter break 2025. It was worth paying the extra for the heated pool since it was pre-season and we spent a lot of time in the pool. It is really convenient that a car was included in with the house since it is really recommended to have a car to explore the area and do grocery shopping. George was really good in communicating prior to our arrival and his English was really good so communication was really easy. He was really keen on us having a good stay and answered all our questions during the week. The house had a great layout suitable for up to five couples with an onsuite bathroom in each bedroom and a common bathroom close to the pool area. We hope to return to the house soon again and we can really recommend the place to others. Mattias with family

One of the best villas I’ve stayed in as it felt so homely, and the outside area is gorgeous. We all loved it! Nikolaos was an amazing host and was always recommending places to visit and days out for us to try. The pool cleaner was easy to use, just put it in first thing in the morning and it will clean for around 2 hours. As well, having the robotic lawn mower mow the lawn while we were there too was a nice feature. Nikolaos was always responsive and made us feel right at home, as well as even leaving local olive oil for us to take back with us from our trip! The local taverna just at the bottom of the villa was sensational, and I would really recommend trying as much of the food off of the daily cooked menu as possible. Would stay here again!

Nassos's was a great host, provided link and websites to use for bookings. Was always responsive and also accommodate all my requests at his best. We did not stay long to use the pool, but have to say one of the best looking and cleanest pool I have seen in Crete!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house! The view of the sea is absolutely breathtaking — it’s the kind of place where you wake up and just want to sit outside all day soaking it in. The pool was a highlight as well: clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The house itself was spotless and very well taken care of, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Michalis was a wonderful host — always quick to respond and genuinely helpful with local tips and anything we needed. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway with great hospitality!

Hello, we were 2 couples staying at Stelios’ beautiful villa for one week. The villa was amazing ! It was very, very clean, well equipped and everything looked new and worked well 🙂. Stelios was an amazing host who communicated well and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The location of the villa was ideal, close walking distance to everything (restaurants, cafes, grocery stores). The kissamos local beach was a 15 minute pleasant walk passing many small beach side taverns and cafes and bars. The beach’s sandy section was not too big and had nice beach loungers (set of 2 with umbrella 10-15 euros) with beach restaurants/bars right there. This was one of our favourite beaches as it was very clean and the water was warmer than other beaches in Crete. Our entire week stay at Stelios’ Villa was fantastic and we would highly recommend it to everyone ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.

Andrea's villa and location was as wonderful as we'd hoped. We loved swimming in our private pool before breakfast and the view of the ocean from the terrace was outstanding, especially for sunsets, which were spectacular. The location was great, being situated away from crowds but with easy access to many beautiful beaches and tavernas. Andrea's handy hints were really useful, from where to refill water bottles from a spring, or which taverna on Sfinari beach to visit. He responded very quickly if we had any questions, so overall cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Thanks Andrea!

Nektaria et Nikos sont des hôtes exceptionnels - accueillants, attentionnés et généreux avec leurs conseils et produits maison (confitures, fruits frais et raki), on l'impression d'être reçu par des membres de la famille. La maison est parfait et rien ne manque et elle se trouve dans un emplacement idéal pour se détendre tout en restant proche des principales attractions de la partie Ouest de la Crete. Je recommande les yeux fermés
