Holiday rentals in Platanes

Our time at Dafni's house was wonderful and we would have loved to spend more time there. It was one of the best AirBnBs we have ever stayed in. The house is far away from all the hustle and bustle on a hillside with a spectacular view of the sea. You can even see the sea from your bed. The beach is only a few minutes away by car. We were there on our own, no one else was there but us, it was wonderful. If you are searching for a place to calm down and relax, this is your place to be. Dafni and her family are one of the kindest hosts we ever had. We locked ourselves out of the house on the very first day. We wrote to Dafni, she replied immediately, and her father came all the way from another place by car to help us get back into the house. The house itself has everything you need for a vacation. The kitchen was well equipped, some things were brand new and everything was very clean. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Crete. PS: We were huge fans of the cats.

I can’t say enough good things about Amalen. I found it on Air B & B and so I expected almost no interaction. Our stay was 5 star in every way. Jacob and the rest of the staff cared for us. They were so helpful. The breakfast was amazing and each day they knew we were headed out, they packed us a to go box…even on our day of departure. We had the best time and if ever in Crete would only stay with them again.

A beautiful place, very clean and Panos is a very nice host! Everything was exactly as described, the kitchen super equipped. You almost always hear the bells or the mowing of the sheep. The place is about 15min drive from the next larger road, we were still out every day. It was only 2 minutes by car to the small Triopetra beach. The next tavernas weren't open yet, but Panos still had great recommendations for us.

The host is very welcoming and the house is fully equipped and convenient, recommended.

I highly recommend the apartment of Ginter and Anet to anyone who wants to live in a renovated old Cretan house. The apartment has all the necessary amenities (even more) and from the terrace there is a beautiful view of the beaches of Ligres and Triopetra. Also the village of Kerames where the apartment is located is a typical quiet peaceful and charming place. Local Kafeino is worth recommending where in addition to coffee you can eat typical homemade Cretan food. Once again we recommend the apartment with all our hearts. Best regards Aneta and Tomek 🌞

Our discovery in Akoumia of a great Greco-Cretan family moved us. These are Dimitra and Costas. The reception was beyond our expectations. We found a place with everything you needed when we arrived: kitchen, bathroom, sleeping, bath towels... The food taken from the restaurant, managed by Dimitra, comes from the farm-culture-breeding (goats, sheep), managed by Costas. It's organic. Here's what we find: wine, raki, goat milk, meat, vegetables... healthy quality products. Dithyrambic is the word not usurped. Akoumia is a typical Cretan village. 3 churches in a 200-meter course! A car is necessary for visiting, shopping. The beaches, very pretty, are twenty minutes away. We lived in a novel by Kazantsakis the Greek. Thank you so much to Dimitra and Kostas We highly recommend this place to stay.

Natassa’s home is nestled in the mountains and her room has a lovely balcony with an amazing view across the valley. Natassa greeted us in town and walked us to her place. She was hospitable and friendly and we are so glad to have met her. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. Natassa has a beautiful dog Chico who we fell in love with. Highly recommend a stay at Natassa’s if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in the mountains with easy quick access to beaches in the south, Rhethymno in the north and other beautiful mountain towns nearby.
