A cozy, quiet traditional log cabin apartment in the heart of Äkäslompolo, Ylläs. Outdoor activities and all services are within walking distance. Fully equipped apartment can comfortable accommodate six people. There is sauna, fireplace, free wi-fi and fully equipped kitchen incl. dishwasher. House has a common open-air fire place and ski maintenance room. Firewood and use of kick sledges is included in the rental. You can easily reach us by taking flight to Kittilä or Rovaniemi or by train.

Our cozy villa (280m2) is a unique place to spend a holiday near the city, yet in a very peaceful environment, surrounded by the wild nature. You can sit by the bonfire. Whenever the Aurora Borealis appear on the sky, it is easy to see them, because there is no artificial light other than the lights of the our villa. (much better than city centre) I also offer a real Santa Claus visit to my Villa for a small additional fee.

Summertime is also full of activities, rowning around an island, fishing (lots of pike), berries, nightless nights etc. We are located 25 km from the center of Rovaniemi, in the most amazing spot you can find in the area.

Because of the location outside all the city lights, this is a perfect location to see the northern lights. The best chances to see the the northern lights is during a clear sky without clouds. There are also different forecasts that you can guugle to estimate the possibility of seeing northern ligts. There is a monument of silence built near by.
