Family-friendly holiday rentals in Paraparaumu

Really enjoyed the space the house provided, given we are a family of five. Nice laid back house, which was just what we wanted. Beach was safe and only a short walk away. We'd happily return, we really enjoyed our stay.

An absolutely gorgeous house in an idyllic spot, overlooking the Wellington Harbour. Guthrie Cottage had everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. The beds were comfortable, the central heating was amazing, and the water pressure good. The ideal location to get away from any hustle and bustle, and to be lulled to sleep by the sea on your doorstep. We had a very peaceful, relaxing stay at Guthrie Cottage - will be back!

Thank you Tania. Absolutely perfect for my daughter and I. We are country lovers so this couldn’t have been better for us. Loved looking at the horses out the window / door. Loved the sounds of the birds in the evening and the morning. I got a little confused finding the cottage at first as I went up the left driveway to the main house, not the right driveway. But was able to get hold of Tania promptly and she was able to redirect me. This is a beautiful rustic type cottage with the space really well thought out. I didn’t mind the kitchenette in the bathroom. Obviously as long as you keep everything sanitary as you use it it’s not an issue. Kind of the same situation if you were to stay in a caravan everything is close together amenities wise. Was nice and warm and super cosy. Would absolutely stay here again. Blackwood Luxury Hideaway was a perfect location for our group of 4 to stay for three nights whilst we attended a wedding in the area. Janine was super helpful in answering our pre-arrival questions and having the rooms set up to meet our sleeping requirements. The home was beautifully presented, and a lot of thought has gone into the decor / linen / kitchen utensils. The indoor spaces meant we had room to spread out and the day bed became a favorite spot for reading in the sun. The separate areas for outdoor seating where all well used to take in the stunning rural views. And the outdoor spa was a hit and had towels provided for it. The 1.5 bathrooms were very useful when your travel with 4 adults! They were lush with rain shower and beautiful amenities / towels. We would certainly stay again when we come back to visit the area. What an amazing place, with a view even more stunning than it appears in the photo! Everyday I felt compelled to take a photo of the constantly changing scene laid out in a 180 degree panorama. Benoit was a very thoughtful and responsive host, and it was everything my family (two adults, two kids) needed for our visit to Wellington. It is a very comfortable and beautiful house, and a handy location including shops a few minutes drive away and a great cafe a few minutes walk down the path. Although looks a bit out of town on the map, it is a short and easy drive into the city. Oscar the cat was soon part of the family and our son was very sad to say goodbye!

Elizabeth's Air BNB just exceeded our expectations. The apartment views looking out to the sea just breathtaking. The accommodation so comfortable, yet exceptionally stylish. She certainly has an eye for detail. It was like walking into a New York apartment in the skies. Perfect for the relaxing getaway we wanted. Beds so comfortable and linen sheets an added bonus. Will certainly be back and will use the hot tub next time! Thank you.

Was a lovely little place out in the countryside and was a nice break from the city life!!

Fantastic house for our young family, we stayed in August and it was nice and warm. Location is great, as well as the view. Good value for money. Really loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom and having the heat pump on when we arrived was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

Catherine’s place was just lovely. Everything we needed and a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. We had such a lovely weekend. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

The place is totally beautiful and suitable for a nice getaway from a busy city life. It’s peaceful and plenty of outdoor chilling area. The interior is tastefully decorated with personal touches. And Dale is so lovely to communicate throughout and understanding of our sudden change of situation. It’s hard to find such lovely hosts in Airbnb sometimes, so we are lucky to have met her!

Miramar is a little gem, a lovely restaurant at hand, native bush a short walk away, there's trolls!, and a Brewery. what's not to like

We loved our stay at Little 6. Rochelle is a fantastic host - she communicated well, provided clear instructions, and was super responsive. From the homemade granola to coffee pods and bottle of juice, we were made to feel welcome. Titahi Bay is an awesome location to stay when travelling to Wellington. We usually stay in the CBD but opted for Titahi and loved the local Porirua Art Centre.

This is a really great place to stay! The cottage is so peaceful and there are so many great birds around. Everything was very clean when I arrived and Clare accommodated my early morning arrival in Wellington by letting me check in early. She was an excellent host who was very responsive and kind. I recommend staying here!

A great, secluded, but conveniently accessible spot. Parking was simple on a quiet street. Close to Barden Gate for diving and cycling missions and just a short walk to the wharf to catch the ferry to Wellington CBD. Perfect for what we wanted, will definitely look for this place again when we visit next.

A great stay at Blairs place, perfect location within a short stroll to the Main Street of Greytown. Even though the pool house itself is on the same premises and in quite close proximity to his home it felt private and was no issue with coming and going throughout our stay. The pool looked stunning although we didn't get time to swim in it, the pool house itself was big and spacious, and was warm and cozy with the heat pump and had everything my friend and I needed for our girls weekend away.

We stayed 2 nights at Jan and David’s place over a long weekend, while we explored the area and visited Kapiti Island (for the first time, it was great). The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. Stylishly presented, very comfortable, an excellent ensuite (great shower). Jan and David were excellent hosts - very obliging ang welcoming. Would stay there again and recommend their place.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The place was easy to find, and it felt so homely from the moment we walked in. Everything was super tidy, with all the mod cons you’d need for a comfortable stay. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen were spotlessly clean. The living space was relaxing and cozy, making it easy to unwind. Highly recommend this gem!

Spacious quiet property with good amenities set in private subdivision.

Sharron’s apartment is so beautiful. Our only regret of our trip was that we couldn’t spend more time here. We were so fortunate to meet Sharron, she was most helpful, and we had a lovely conversation. Our hope is to have an opportunity to see the breathtaking views in this gorgeous Mt. Victoria accommodation again some day. We are so grateful to Sharron for her hospitality and great recommendations.

The house was charming and larger than it looked in pictures. The king bed was super comfy and all of us slept so soundly (even my baby girl, who usually wakes up in the middle of night!). Location of the place was also good as we could drive to town within 10 mins. Sher was very hospitable and came over to greet us with fruits, milk and chocolate on our first night. It was a nice gesture and we appreciate it :) Thank you for having us. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to our friends & families!
