Holiday rentals in Paralia Megas Lakkos

We enjoyed our stay at George's place very much and would definitely book here again. Very quiet location, but only 3 minutes by car from the beautiful, clean sandy beach Megas Lakkos, which was also extremely quiet in mid-August. We also appreciated the practical outdoor shower. And that we found chilled water, jam, butter and rusks in the fridge for breakfast when we arrived late was a lovely gesture from our host. We communicated with son John, who is extremely friendly and helpful. We will also recommend this place to our friends :)

Angela’s place was incredible - probably one of the best airbnbs we have ever stayed in! The location was ideal, the house was fantastic, the pool and outdoor area were so relaxing. A great place to come back to after a busy day exploring or out at one of the nearby beaches! The walk into Lassi or Argostoli is easy, and there are a few really nice beaches nearby in walking distance. Angela gave some great recommendations and was always responsive to any questions we had! We’d definitely stay here again, thanks Angela!

We had a wonderful stay. The panoramic views from the house are beautiful and the setting is very peaceful. Everything is as described and the house is well equipped and comfortable. As others have said you definitely need a car but you are rewarded with stunning views in a very special location. You can drive to Lixouri in about 15 minutes where there is a great choice of restaurants and there is a good supermarket about 10 minutes away. This was our first visit to Kefalonia and we very much hope to return to the island and to this house!

We had an amazing stay at Akis & Eleni's property. It was presented exactly as it was in the pictures and perfect for our family vacation. It's a private property, so very peaceful, with an amazing pool, outside area and sun loungers. Just a very short walk out the back of the garden and you are on a lovely (very unique) beach. There is a great beach bar if you turn left, and a short walk around (through the water) some rocky outcrops (or via some steps to avoid the water), a larger selection of beachside bars and restaurants, and water activities. You'll need a car for the supermarket and exploring the rest of the island, but it was the perfect bolthole for us for a week. Akis & Eleni were excellent hosts, and very easy to contact to provide you with the peace of mind you need on a family trip. Would highly recommend this to one family or two!

Zoe’s Suite is perfect for a couple! It has everything you would need - fully equipped kitchen, secure parking, aircon, king size bed, luxurious shower room - and we had a very comfortable stay. Above all else, it has the most stunning sea views that we enjoyed looking out at all throughout the day, from the moment we woke up in bed to when we had our meals outside. The villa is situated in a great location, just a 10 minute drive from large supermarkets, the main town of Argostoli, and most importantly one of the best sandy beaches in Kefalonia (Makris Gialos)! The village of Lakithra is peaceful and quaint, with a few restaurants, a bar and a delicious pastry shop (Antonis) down the road that you have to try for traditional delicious pastries/cakes. All interactions with Clayde, Panagis and Nancy from HostingMe were great - prompt, friendly, accommodating! We really can’t recommend Zoe’s Suite enough, you’ll love your stay!

Dear Fanis, Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! We had a great time. Everything was perfectly arranged, and we felt very welcome right away. You were very friendly and gave clear instructions, which made everything super easy. We had a few drinks in the city while waiting and then got the great news that we could check in a bit earlier. We just forgot we still had to walk up a hill, and then climb four flights of stairs with our suitcases! But even so, we were warmly welcomed. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, you can really see the care you’ve put into it. The only small downside for us was the lack of blackout curtains, as the room got quite bright early in the morning. But aside from that, everything was absolutely perfect! Also worth mentioning is the building manager, such a kind and attentive man, who greeted us with a smile every day. It really added a nice personal touch to our stay. This place was INCREDIBLE. We can't say enough good things about the house and the host. House: The place was immaculate. They've done a beautiful job in the design of the place. There are endless spaces to relax, enjoy the views, and lounge comfortably. The beds and couches were cozy and the views are spectacular. The Location: The house is located on the quieter side of the island and was exactly what we wanted for our relaxing vacation. It was a short drive to half a dozen or more stunning and non-crowded beaches and lots of delicious and charming restaurants. Renting a car is a must and will make exploring the area much easier. The Host: George is the best. He's very responsive and went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable. He even baked us fresh cookies for our arrival. What a gem. Recos: Our favorite restaurants (all a 2 minute drive from the house): Nobelos, Skinos, The Old Windmill Favorite Beach: Wolf Rocks Beach Stop reading this and book the place!

Wow! What can we say! This place is just amazing! Stunning location, so peaceful & a beautiful view of surrounding mountains & the ocean. The villa itself is spotlessly clean , the beds are comfy, lots of fluffy white towels plus dressing gowns & slippers included. Lovely beach/pool towels also included. The host (Arthur) was nothing short of incredible, he met us at the villa upon arrival to show us around, sent a list as long as your arm for places to visit & eat at & even put us in touch with a lovely guy to hire a boat from. He also messaged over our stay to ask if we needed anything. The pool was cleaned daily & house keeping pop in to bring fresh towels etc. I would say this villa is in a perfect spot to explore the islands hot spots & beaches. A few places around the corner are fabulous for food - Skinos, Orientes & Nobelos to name a few. Lovely little marina too. We also drove around 50 minutes to Zante town. Thank you for a beautiful stay! (We travelled 2 adults/2 child)
