Holiday rentals with a pool in Paiva River

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

5 ⭐️ The accommodation met and exceeded expectations! Let's go back, for sure! Mr. José Carlos is very attentive and always willing to resolve or clarify any doubts. Beautiful, clean, calm and quiet space. From the house, to the garden, to the pool and the magnificent unobstructed view, everything is wonderful. I recommend it 500%. Ideal for family holidays, with peace and quiet. Spectacular.

Ludo and Park were truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond by sharing fantastic local recommendations and insider tips, which really enriched our trip. The space itself was spotless, bright, and wonderfully spacious. Having our own private pool was an absolute treat, especially during the hot weather. The location couldn’t be better: everything is within walking distance, and public transport is a breeze to use. I honestly have no complaints; it was a perfect experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be booking again when I return to Porto. Thank you so much, Park and Ludo! ❤️

Lovely apartment about 20mins outside Porto centre. Comfortable beds and great outdoor space. Pool was a godsend. Communications by the owner were great and very helpful. Used Ubers to get in and out of Porto easily and wasn’t expensive.

An amazing place to stay! The flat was lovely and clean, shower was nice and big and the bed was super comfy. Made the most of it being a ground floor flat by sunbathing just outside the little patio area and walking straight to the pool for a dip. Also a great location to walk into town for either the beach, shops or restaurants. Not too far to walk to the supermarket for food either. Adelina was always super quick to reply to messages, and was exceptionally friendly and helpful anytime we did message. Cannot recommend enough!!

The accommodation was very spacious and there was ample space to unfold. The ambience is rather functional and not particularly homely but we lacked nothing. You are privately accommodated there, but also anonymous. You won't be making contacts there. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine washes well. The wifi router is located in the property and the internet is fast. I particularly liked the large sliding wall with which you can protect the living area from the sun. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, with the gastronomy in the area offering little change. Shopping facilities are a 15-20 min walk. After all, you have a vacation and plenty of time. We felt comfortable and the place was absolutely worth its money. Thank you

Amazing apartment with a lovely sense of space and air. Lovely little swimming pool too. There was a little noise from some construction next door but the host was helpful around that.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.

João was a very kind and gracious host. He was always willing to help and was patient enough to take time out of his Friday evening to tend to us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the apartment. We would definitely stay here again!
