Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Otter Tail County

Nice space and great host. Just didn’t luck out with good weather so didn’t get to enjoy many of the amenities. Would stay again!

We traveled to Dent for a sibling and spouse reunion. There were 15 adults and 1 child. There was more than enough room for our group. One bedroom went unused. There was lots of seating inside and out. No need to bring lawn chairs. We ate every meal at the house. It had all the kitchen gear needed to cook, bake and grill. We rented their pontoon and used it frequently for leisurely rides around Silent Lake and for fishing. It was mid-September, so we were often the only boat on the lake. There we several float items in the garage which we didn't use but were available to us. We grocery shopped at the Perham Central Market 22 min from the home. We reached out to the host once during our stay with a question and they responded quickly. Family was all in agreement that we would go back. Great central location for my family that came from Montana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Nebraska. There are more good things I would say but feedback space is limited. I would recommend this home.

Great overall. Only complaint was an underground bees nest that stung one of us and the dog. Texted manager & she didn’t offer to come spray. We had to go to hardware store and buy spray ourselves. Also gas tank for grills ran out. Manager hesitantly offered to get some but said we could about 10 miles down the road. Paid out of pocket for these things.

We stayed in this beautifully done new home for the weekend and hosted family dinner one evening. It was cozy and lovely environment especially with the fire place. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve our family, plus plenty of coffee! I loved the open floor plan and high ceilings! Would love to come back in the fall or summer and enjoy the screened in patio with extra dinning and seating space. Would stay again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay and found it perfect as we were visiting family nearby. Cabin was very cute and had everything we needed; from binoculars, grill, fire pit, beach chairs, towels and comfy beds. Beautiful lakefront view and the sunsets were gorgeous! We enjoyed the beach area; spent time tanning, kayaking and fishing. Fun to kayak from dock to channel connecting to Otter Tail Lake and saw two giant sturgeon. Highly recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Our family had the best time staying at this Airbnb! It was exactly as the pictures showed and I thought the kitchen island was bigger than expected! The kids loved playing outside, the playset was a huge hit! We loved the convince of the lake and the view is beautiful! The kids also loved all of the games/toys that had available at the house, since it was still a bit cold in the mornings! We would love to stay in this house again!

i would definitely stay here again, such a cute and peaceful place to relax, as well as many things to do locally and close to the little towns of Battle Lake where there is a grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and a fantastic ice cream shop! The cabin was fully equipped with everything you would need, and was so cozy. Look forward to another stay there.

What a great little home! We loved our stay at Robin’s place and would stay again in a heartbeat. It was cozy and just the right size for the two of us on our little weekend getaway. Lovely surroundings, everything you could need provided, and plenty of wildlife to see, if you pay attention. Highly suggest!

We had a wonderful time at our recent stay at the cottage at the Pelican Rapids Motel. We booked last minute and were thrilled this dog-friendly place was available for the week. We had traveled to MN from out of state to vacation in our family cabin, but upon arrival, we discovered our place had been damaged by recent storms. Illiana came to our rescue, she was extremely accommodating. We were able to stay the week and salvage our vacation in total comfort while dealing with insurance and repairs at our own place. It was the perfect space for 2 adults and 2 teens, and very dog friendly for our 2 small dogs too. Very clean, very well organized, exactly as pictured in the listing. Pelican rapids is a cute town, and the location is conveniently located halfway between Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls, which allowed access to a variety of restaurants and shopping and activities.

We enjoyed our week at Truman Lake house! We felt very comfortable and enjoyed some nice family time on the lake. The kitchen and house comes nicely equipped with everything you need.

We had a great weekend away and really appreciated the ramp accessibility for my dad, who uses a 4 wheel walker. Great hospitality and beautiful lake!

Really enjoyed our stay at Deer! The location is great, boat parking was excellent, and there was a lot of stuff for our 3 year old to do.

This was our 6th stay at Jon & Michelle’s place and we can’t say enough good things about this property. It’s truly a special place to visit every year with our friends. The layout of the house allows for families or groups of friends to hangout together by day in the main level open-plan great room and then enjoy private accommodations in the six good-sized bedrooms in the evening. The furniture is both comfy and stylish and the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking adventures. There are two wood burning fireplaces and a fire pit for cozy time and s’mores. When we got sick of lazing around and eating we either headed to the lake for fishing/swimming/pontooning or to the pickle ball court for epic matches. As for the hosts, Jon and Michelle are two of the kindest people we’ve had the pleasure of renting from. We’re always in good hands when we stay at their amazing Tonseth home. This is one of our favorite Airbnbs of all time!

We book many stays for our employees around the nation. I have never worked with such a supportive, responsive, and kind host. I was blown away at the level of communication and consideration he had for our guests staying at his location. Above and beyond is a vast understatement. I could not recommend this host/location more and would absolutely consider booking other employees at this location if the need arises.

We loved our stay-it was beautiful, spacious, and so well laid out. We look forward to staying again soon!

This is the most beautiful place my family has ever stayed at. Not only that, but the amenities were incredible. The kiddos (and adults) loved swimming in the pool, sitting in the hot tub and sauna and fishing off the dock and in our boat we brought. The house was so clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and baking dishes which made cooking family meals a breeze. I love how kid (and dog) friendly this house is. There is a room full of kids toys, a bin full of pool toys, and a nursery room. The dog washing station came in handy to wash the sandy dogs off from the beach. Not only was the house great, but so was the host. So responsive and friendly. He truly wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. We did mosey into Vergas one day and got some coffee and ice cream and checked out the zoo. We would love to come back and stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

We had a great family lake weekend at this beautiful property. Loved the lake views, the amazing deck, the hot tub, paddle boards, and fire pit. Kids enjoyed fishing off the dock, the lily-pad, and the basement chill-out zone. We also rented a pontoon in nearby Perham...Public access was right down the road and easy! The place is quiet, private, and had plenty of space for 11 of us...Made meals in the well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed the lake-side pizza place. Jennifer was an excellent host...Welcomed us with treats, provided helpful instructions/recommendations, and was immediately responsive to our questions before and during our stay. One of those places that it was hard to leave!

This was the first Airbnb I've stayed at where the place was even better than the pictures! The host was great with answering questions about the home and recreational activities. We were there with 12 people ages 4-65 and a dog. Everyone had a blast! There were great spaces for all of us to be together as well as several smaller areas for small groups. We enjoyed the home, but also, of course, the lake aspect. We used the kayak and paddle board, swam, fished, etc. Nice picnic table, fire pit, and hot tub. Also, the deck is amazing. Lots of beautiful flowers. Great location. We went into Frazee for breakfast and also a coffee shop. Nice to be near Detroit Lakes, too.

This was my first time ever booking an Airbnb and I was nervous about it, but it went over without any issues. Any questions I asked were answered pretty quickly through the app. The house accommodated our needs for 8 adults and 4 children. The layout of the house was great and the beach was perfect size for the kids.
