Waterfront holiday rentals in Osterode am Harz

Apartment is as stated on the internet, is rather larger than on the pictures 🥰but everything as shown on the picture... we would like to come back next year.

We stayed with Markus for a hiking weekend in the Harz. The accommodation was perfect for this, so that several routes could be started directly on foot from the front door. For us, the accommodation offered everything to cook and relax comfortably after hiking - only the (dripping) faucet in the kitchen was a bit unusual at the beginning. But that's complaining to a high standard. There are shopping facilities and restaurants nearby, and the cost of the "Harzer Dunkel" from the Alteau brewery is also recommended here. In short: We felt comfortable and can highly recommend the accommodation as a starting point for hiking.

We stayed again in this cozy and well-equipped apartment, felt very comfortable as always and enjoyed the quiet surroundings with a view of Lake See!

Had a great three week stay! The place was clean, well appointed and exactly as described in the pictures. The surroundings were quiet and pleasant – perfect for relaxing. The host was very friendly, easily accessible and responded quickly to any questions. We felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the accommodation. Thank you for the wonderful time!

The accommodation is very nice and equipped with many things. The area is very quiet and there are many day trip destinations. Also an optimal starting point for hiking. We took a generation family vacation and there was something for everyone. In three of the four bedrooms, I lacked the wardrobes. Since we arrived with children, we would have needed additional storage space. It should also be mentioned that you cannot swim well in the lake directly in front of the house, as there are many stones there. There is another lake, max. 5 minutes on foot with forest bath.

Very nice house in a lovely location, tastefully decorated. Kitchen and bathroom are very well-equipped. The amenities were such that Nan felt very comfortable and everything you needed was there. Even very tasty coffee was there. The contact with the host was very good, friendly and quickly accessible. The beds were very comfortable, bed linen and plenty of towels provided. Unfortunately, there was no radiator in the children's room, so it was quite fresh there. The room did not have its own door, but is only separated from the master bedroom by a curtain, which the accompanying teenager did not find so great. All the other rooms are great. Only the sofa was only enough for 3 people, we would have liked a second sofa or 2 more armchairs. Overall, however, a great accommodation for a nice holiday, which we would book again at any time!

Everything was very good

The cozily furnished house created the right atmosphere for our family gathering. The stream passing by gave a wonderful background noise. The surrounding forest invited you to hike. Beautiful terrace and barbecue facilities were used for private conversations in addition to the spacious rooms. Thank you!

We were 2 couples with 3 small children. The accommodation is well suited for this. There is a large room in addition to the booking, which we would recommend. Then you have a large dining room in addition. Only the stairs are dangerously steep, especially for the small children, but also for adults. With a large garden and the possibility of barbecuing. Otherwise everything was great, we felt very comfortable. :-)

The place was super nice! We were there with 2 couples and a medium-sized dog. The apartment is very modern! Partly really high-tech 👌🏻 A very nice bathroom and everything very newly renovated. You can quickly reach various hiking trails on foot.

We booked the old mill for our family weekend with 6 adults, 2 infants and 3 dogs. We liked the accommodation very much, there was enough space to spend time together and also to retreat and read a book in peace. The surroundings are great if you are traveling with children or just want to have a break in nature. The hosts were super friendly and helpful so we had a great stay. We will be happy to come back! ♥️

For 12 people, a super-equipped apartment in a very nice location. The kicker was very well received. The journey through the narrow streets was a little adventure in itself.

This place is highly recommended! We felt very comfortable. The apartment is the optimal size and very comfortably furnished. Everything you need in terms of amenities is available. Communication with Marius worked very quickly and straightforwardly. We would definitely book this apartment again.

The apartment is located in a quiet area with great views of the mountains. Everything necessary for a short or long stay was available in the apartment. Marion is an excellent host. With her tips, she helped us a lot in the context of travel preparation and on the way to the apartment. She is always responsive and helpful. We can gladly recommend her and the apartment.

A comfortable and well-equipped two-bedroom apartment on the top floor of an old farmhouse in the village of Vernawahlshausen, a short drive from Uslar. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The apartment is just under the roof of the farmhouse, so during hot sunny weather it can get quite hot in the apartment. I was there during the heatwave in July 2022, and (being Scottish) there were a couple of days when I found the heat uncomfortable. The hosts very kindly arranged for me to sleep in a spare bedroom on the ground floor of the farmhouse, which was much cooler. Many thanks. I would be very happy to stay in this apartment again if I return to this part of Germany. One other comment. If you're interested in cycling, a good off-road cycle path connects Vernawahlshausen with the very nice Weser Cycle Path. A trip to Hann. Münden is worthwhile, and I recommend the Ratsbrauhaus for lunch.

We had a few quiet days in very beautiful surroundings and felt very comfortable. You can start a hike directly behind the house or reach many sights & restaurants or shops by car.

A nice quiet and cozy accommodation in the countryside. It was very relaxing there. The furnishings are high-quality and as good as new, and the kitchen also offers everything you need for cooking. You can feel at ease. The check-in and check-out were different than usual, but after some discussion, something could be arranged. Please note that additional bed linen and towels should be brought and that those provided on site should also be brought to Berlin. Overall, it was a nice time at the accommodation.
