Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Orange County

Angela and her manager were very responsive. We had a few questions and they got back to us very quickly. We are so happy that we were able to find a place that we could bring our furry friend. We all had a great weekend and my husband won a gold medal in his age group at a local triathlon. Without the house, he probably would not have done so well and our weekend would not have been so easy! Thank thank you so much for hosting us!

We enjoyed our stay at Tracy's place! Came down to do a triathlon at Lake Anna. Very peaceful area and the house itself was very inviting and comfy. The main bed was a bit hard but that is more to do with my personal taste than anything. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in the area for a wedding, and it group was an all adult family of three couples driving in from three different places. This home works quite well for our situation with easy parking on street. Better than three hotel rooms and plenty of room to live in. Great living room to gather and chat, dining room and kitchen well stocked with Keurig and pods. The only potentially awkward part is that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another en-suite bathroom. The other full bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are all upstairs. Again, this posed no problem for us but perhaps for others. We knew about this but it worked fine for our situation. Alaurah was very responsive and proactive in the planning phase. Our schedule was packed so we didn't have a ton of time in the area. Next time!

We had a peaceful 2 nights at Carrie’s place with a beautiful view of the lake. The house had so many thoughtful extras for the guests and everything was organized. We even used the Star Wars pancake maker to make Father’s Day breakfast. We rented the kayaks and went on the lake more than once. This is a unique find.

Would definitely stay here again! We came as a larger group of 9- there was plenty of room for all! My son and nephew spent the entire weekend fishing off the dock while others played yard games (included in rental). Beds were comfy, kitchen fully stocked! Location was perfect - not too far from "civilization" yet surrounded by woods and felt very private. Communication with owner was always easy and responses were fast. Do not hesitate to rent here!

Great place with gorgeous views and tons of amenities for a group of friends. Kid friendly with kid dish ware, two pack and plays, and lots of fun kid twin bed spots. There are only three queen size beds for adult couples, however, so keep this in mind if booking for multiple adult pairs.

This was the perfect long weekend get away we were looking for. The home is in great condition. The trees offer so much shade it was nice sitting on the deck during the day and for meals. Alfred is an excellent host, checking in while we were there. We enjoyed sitting by the water, relaxing in the hammock and walking the dogs around the neighborhood. Highly recommend for a relaxing get away!

My family and I were very pleased with Eric and his lake house. It was perfect, clean, and very inviting. The home and location matched the pictures; in fact, it was better in person. Everything we wanted to do was there, we only went to the market. Eric was very attentive and when I had a question or a concern- he was quick to follow up and he was a great communicator. He responses were prompt and friendly. This meant everything to me. He did not act like a stranger; he welcomed us into his beautiful home. If I had my way, I'd still be there but work calls. I would highly recommend Eric and his lake house. I'm already talking to my husband about making plans to go back next year around the same time. If you're looking for a home beside the water with kayaks, grills, fire pit, and life jackets and close to beaches and most importantly a host who cares and will be attentive, check out this property and Eric. They both deliver.

The property is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in this cozy and cute little cabin. The pool was an added bonus- we got lucky with some great weather and we’re so thankful we got to enjoy it poolside! There is a very friendly barn cat who likes to greet you and hang out around the cabin. The location was awesome. We brought our dog with us so we were about 40 minutes to the trail we hiked in Shenandoah plus the trails at the Market at Grelen were beautiful and super close to the house! There are so many wineries nearby as well. We loved our long weekend getaway at the farm!

We enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently located for niece's wedding at the nearby Renback barn and for visiting our in-laws in Orange Virginia. The three bedrooms worked well for our family of four. The kitchen with the salad master cookware pots was definitely a plus. We enjoyed the bowl of various tea bags.

A beautiful little home on an absolutely stunning farm. Sam was a helpful and attentive host who was always quick to respond. We found ourselves enjoying our time on the farm even more than our time off it! The farm cat was an absolute riot to watch playing outside. He is a sweetheart!

House was exactly what we wanted, lots of room for extended family with plenty of entertainment right on site for kids and adults. Pool, arcade games, hot tub, and large screen TV.

We had a great time, the kids loved the pool and beach access. Our hosts had lots of chairs, towels, blow up rafts, etc at the house for us to use. Kithen was stocked with the essentials and tools so we were able to cook in each night. Having the hotub and game console was great for the one stormy night. There was tons of room and plenty of towels and bedding. Hosts were very helpful answering our questions and providing recommendations. Definitely recommend for a relaxed weekend getaway!

This location is amazing! The views are unbelievable, especially the night sky from the hot tub. It is very peaceful, even with it being located next to their brewery. We enjoyed walking to the brewery for the live music, pizza and drinks. The music wasn't overpowering so you could still hold a conversation with your company, and it didn't annoy you if you were at the house. We also enjoyed all of the antique pieces of furniture/structures around the home. One of the days we hiked White Oak Canyon Trail, it was only about 25 minutes away and worth the waterfall views. We would visit this location again!

Beautiful gated neighborhood and a comfortable and homey stay. Lovely lake view made mornings so enjoyable. We had hoped to kayak but unfortunately ran out of time. Would love to book again to enjoy the full experience

Beautiful home! The kitchen and entire home was very well stocked . We had two families and felt like we had plenty of space. Great little view of the lake and a short walk down to the dock.

John and Gaby are excellent hosts. They were so flexible and kind that I felt as if I were communicating with family. It put me at ease and I was able to concentrate on all of the logistics that come with Mother of the Bride biz. I would definitely return for a weekend away and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring our dog with us. I had also rented two other locations in the vicinity and Maple Crest stood out, by far, as the most enjoyable experience and most personable interactions. We had the time of our lives and are very grateful that John and Gaby generously share their beautiful home!

Sometimes a great host is not defined by just their hospitality and attention to detail but also by their accessibility and ability to respond to unexpected "emergencies." This host demonstrated not only hospitality but genuine care by helping us address an unexpected problem ... on a holiday weekend no less. This speaks volumes about them and despite the unexpected "happenings" of life, I would recommend them without hesitation.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Hosts were very accommodating. Peaceful property, with hunting access.

We had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect—right on the water with a fantastic private dock. The little "snack bar" on the dock was stocked with extra life vests and paddles. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. There was plenty of silverware and utensils for our whole group, which made cooking and dining together a breeze. A big bonus: the shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms—everyone in our group forgot theirs, so that was a total lifesaver. We also loved that the property overlooks the state park. It gave us beautiful, peaceful nature views and added a sense of privacy that made the whole trip feel like a true escape compared to other locations I've been to on this lake. My favorite part was taking the jet ski out every day. The nearby boat ramp is very private and super close, which made launching a breeze.

Very very comfortable beds, my dad said it was best nights sleep he’s had in a long time. The house was very clean and the host was incredibly responsive (replied within less than 1 minute). The house had lots of room for our group of 7 people, with a nice big fenced yard, lovely deck and a fire pit. We enjoyed making s’mores. Outside Adirondack chairs were super comfy. The house had a giant tv in living room perfect for gaming and streaming shows (host provided access to multiple streaming services, which was awesome), plus there were big tvs in all the bedrooms. House layout gave a lot of flexibility for our group, and had a great home office for working remotely (excellent internet connection). We felt it was good value for the money. Host provided a lovely welcome basket, instructions and local recommendations. We appreciated use of the laundry room. Glad we made the decision to stay here, it worked very well for our group of seven adults! Would highly recommend.

This is hands down my favorite airbnb rental ever. It's also the only one I've ever returned to. We so enjoyed our time in Rapidan! We brought pretty much all our food, so i only left the property once in 5 days. Heaven!! (though the rooster was quite talkative, the cows went serenely on their way!)
