Great place on the water

Nicole was always friendly and responsive when communicating. She was generous with flexibility of check out time to accommodate my family’s needs. The house itself was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the lake (currently frozen lake). The house was easy to find. It had all the kitchen utilities we needed. I appreciate Nicole having a list of items that will not be at the house so I was able to plan accordingly. Highly recommend this place!

Gorgeous views of the lake. We borrowed some kayaks and got to kayak around on Lake Minocqua. We were able to easily walk to town. It’s about a 15 minute walk. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin and being able to wake up and see the lake. Samantha was extremely accommodating and we can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend.

Our stay was great. So quiet and peaceful even with other groups at the resort. The place was tiny but perfect for a couple. The only thing that would have been a little better was if there was some light in the parking lot for when we arrived at dark.

Beautiful A-frame, just as advertised, very small cabin so don't expect to fit a large family in it. Sauna is great, very responsive and cordial host, highly recommended!

Smith's Retreat felt like a "home away from home". It's a wonderful home with everything you need and very comfortable. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed & one with a very comfortable queen and a nice big bathroom with tub/shower. The dining table is large & there's a separate table & chairs for games/puzzles etc. Plenty of room for a family to be comfortable. Downstairs there's a comfortable king size bed and several twin beds & a nice sitting room & another table. There is a nice bathroom with a shower downstairs as well. The deck is big and plenty of room for everyone. It is a bit of a walk down a hill to the fire ring, dock & lake but a pretty gradual slope. We saw lots of wildlife on our way to & from the lake. The water is shallow and great for kids to play in. Fishing was pretty good as well - we caught perch & a really nice bass while we were there. Charles was great to work with & our family had a great time.

Had a fantastic time in Minoqua, the cabin had everything we needed and the game room was perfect at the end of the day! Loved the mornings with a great view on the lake, and close to downtown Minoqua so there was lots to do close by!

I've stayed twice at catfish cove in two different rentals and both have been exceptional. Access to the water is great for fishing and recreation and Lumpy's is within walking distance where the food is great. Can't say enough about the experience and would highly recommend.

This is the second time we've stayed at Nate's place and it was perfect as always. A peaceful location and wonderful lake. We hope to return again next summer!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin! Great location, very clean, and loved the swimming area. It was also wonderful that the cabin is so well stocked, and that it comes with a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Big plus for the place coming with a designated boat slip. Very happy and satisfied, and would definitely stay again!

The week we spent surrounded by nature and tranquility was restorative. Listening to the eagles, ducks, geese, and many other birds chatting while we sat inside with great views in every room or went kayaking, paddleboardinng, swimming off the swim platform, or just hung out on the deck or the pier kept us in awe of our surroundings every day and night. Walks along the road were spent admiring the trees and native plant life. It felt like home from the moment we arrived as we enjoyed all the comforts the house had to offer from a well-organized kitchen, roomy dining area, and a comfortable livingroom, as well as great bedrooms and baths, all tastefully decorated in a northwoods theme. The 5 of us had enough room to be together or apart. Tonya was instrumental in making our stay a perfect one through communicating with us prior to the trip and throughout the week by quickly aswering any queries we had. We would love to return next summer.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin on the lake! The home was spotless and fit our family perfectly. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The host went above and beyond with communication, making everything seamless and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about their guests’ experience. Highly recommend — we’re already looking forward to coming back!

This house on lake Thompson exceeded our expectations! Dani and Chris have a beautiful property right on the lake, fully stocked with all the comforts of home. Playground and kayaks were a bonus and all the neighbors in the area were lovely! We hope to return to Rhinelander again soon!

The cabin was wonderful. It was very clean, well stocked with anything that we would need besides our personal belongings and the beds were very comfortable. It was on a quiet lake that has a channel leading to the chain of lakes- very fun to kayak and fish! We loved sitting outside everynight watching the sunset and playing cornhole. Heidi quickly responded to any questions that we had and was friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend it and will hopefully stay here again.

The home was beautiful and the location was fantastic! This space would be a great stay in any season although a truck is recommended in the winter as the roads leading from the highway to the home were well seasoned from recent snow and not as clear as the highway. This home has a tremendous amount of amenities and all the needs a guest might have were carefully considered and provided for. Our group consisted of all ages - adults, teenagers, pre-teens all the way down to infant. Everyone was comfortable and had a great time! Highly recommended!

AMAZING LOCATION!!! Lake Katherine is a gem for sure. House was amazing and very enjoyable. Has a wonderful lower level with pool table and other games...found ourselves down there every night. Be advised that there ARE kayaks on site. We specifically asked and were told no. We hauled ours up there only to find that they have two on site. All in all, very nice house!! Would rent again.

This property is great for families vacationing together and is very unique. There is a "rustic" wing to the house with a full kitchen, bath, two bedrooms, and a living room area with a smart tv. The other half is more modern with an expansive kitchen, living room, and master suite on the first floor. The basement area is a great place for the kiddos to hang out with a tv area and two bedrooms and one bath. Bird lake itself is beautiful and peaceful. Awesome swimming and the place comes with a paddle boat and row boat. Bird lake is not a busy lake. We rented a jet ski one day and took it out and pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. Great place and would book again no doubt!

This house is so so incredible! The bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and the setting so peaceful, calming and exciting all rolled into one! Plus, the added personal touches made us feel so excited to start our week! They left us a personal welcome note and bottle of chilled wine on ice!!! Who does that? Jeremiah and Amy and Tim do! Such a beautiful welcome to our long awaited week of vacation with our adult children and their spouses! We loved every minute and the minutes flew by!

This cabin and the hosts make you feel right at home before you even arrive! A couple amazing things from our stay.... - Amazing communication! Very attentive! - Organized with details in their cabin's binder - Great advice on fishing and places to go in the community! - Their love for their family and Jesus shined in everything - Night lights to keep the house lit and easy to find your way around - Fun games in the basement - Truly an all around amazing place and experience We will be in contact to stay there again! Definitely has character. It’s an older building, read the reviews before you book. We enjoyed our stay and were expecting some of the things called out in other reviews. Rickety dock, old fashioned decor, etc.

Stayed here with 8 total family members for a week and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The house contained everything we needed and more. Kitchen was more than equipped to stay in and cook and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out and socialize. Surrounding Coachlite property is very clean, peaceful and had plenty of space for car and trailer parking. Swimming area was very nice and boat slip housed our boat perfectly. Location could not be better as you could take a short walk, car or boat into town or to restaurants on the water. We had a great time and would highly recommend this luxury cottage. Can’t wait to go back in the future!
