We were surprised by such a large house that could have been so clean and tidy.The host was welcoming, reliable and warm, recommended a place to stay, loved it.

There was a walking trail nearby, and the location was nice for dogs.

The host is super friendly and very lovely. It was very spacious, super quiet, and relaxing as it is out in the countryside. It would be a good place for a group retreat or quiet getaway! Definitely recommended!

Very beautiful and clean house with excellent mountain view. Great showers. The owner operates a coffee shop on the first floor, which is very convenient for breakfast. Takao san gave great suggestions for local tours and was very happy to welcome our family, including our dog!

Great location near Beppu Station, very easy to get around. The host was super kind and explained everything clearly. There’s also a helpful guidebook. Highly recommended!

Very responsive from booking to check in day. Staffs are very helpful. I forgot the name of the lady who helped us checked in. She has been helpful all the time and will check for us time to time to see if we need anything help. She will come check on us before she left for home. Very thoughtful and warm act. When we started setting up the fire for BBQ, she saw us seems to have some issue, she came proactively and helped us set up the fire. The place has free drink, vegetables and rice in the club house which opens 24 hours. We feel right at home with this convenience.

The old house has been renovated and was very clean and stylish. There was no close house, so we had a relaxing stay.

I had a great stay here while road tripping across Japan! I was able to book it late and the host was very responsive! I especially appreciated the hospitality cabin that guests had access too with complementary supplies. The host also was quick to respond and refill the mosquito repellent in my room when it ran out! Thanks for a great stay!

They had a very friendly customer service, and there were free vegetables, rice, and soft drinks, so the price was also cheap, which was very good!

We spent 4 nights here and I wish it was more. The place is big, pretty and quiet, the beds were hot and comfortable. We got lucky with weather (17°c in february) and were able to do a different hike everyday, it's about 1h30 to reach either tops (one south and one north of the island) walking in the forest and with a nice view when you're there. Easy access without a car, there are 2 different ferries from Saiki and one of them drops/takes you 2 minutes away from the house, they cost 150 and 200 yen. Host is really friendly, helpful, knows well Kyushu (and the rest of Japan) and his kids are sweet and well educated.

I've used Airbnb about 5 times in Japan so far, and this is the best!! It was clean and nice everywhere, but I liked the feeling of consideration for the user here. Parking is convenient, and there's a Humimart in front of the house. And clean bedding, bathroom, kitchen. I didn't expect it, but it was more impressive than the picture. I'll come back next ♡ year.

The owner was very kind and the accommodation was very, very spacious and nice! I visited Yufuin Ryokan and Airbnb, and I think I'll use Airbnb next time I come. I was very satisfied with the personal tang and water quality. I'll come back next time, boss!

I stayed here with 10 friends (11 total people) for two nights and we absolutely loved it. We all loved the private onsen, the views, and the patio. The host was so kind and provided local meat for us to grill outside, which we very happily enjoyed. The house was beautiful, quiet, and the room for parking was also convenient. Highly recommend for large groups!

We enjoyed it very much, we would receive super warmly, were able to get into the house earlier, the breakfast is very tasty. We felt right at home. We got dinner from Kaoru twice and enjoyed a lot! As an experience, this is highly recommended! Kaoru is a great cook and host and has a very nice family that we were also allowed to meet. What was great was that she gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area, we were able to benefit from it. This will certainly not have been our last time at this property!

Such a kind and thoughtful host! Shared local recommendations and help. Very peaceful and quiet. Rural - need to get any food or items in town before driving up. I visited Mt Futago and the beach before driving to Beppu about an hour away. Wouldn’t recommend for tall people as the bedroom upstairs has a low ceiling.

The unexpected feeling of staying is not good ~ There are probably very few people checking in on the same day, as if we rented a villa ~

House is not difficult to find, in a quiet but convenient location in Aso. House is dated but well equipped. However taller guests do be careful of the middle ceiling as my 1.78cm son kept knocking his head when he was walking around the house.
