Nice, clean and cosy appartement with friendly host. For six people a little bit thight but for one night it is ok. You share the bathroom with the host but it’s strictly separated by times.

Well renovated and very well-equipped traditional house. The environment is quiet while having an entrance near the highway. Despite the language barrier, we communicated well with the owner who was friendly. We highly recommend this home for those who want to have an experience in a Japanese home.

Convenient homes to Kurashiki, Okayama, and Naoshima

慈慈Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
I have been using Airbnb for many years, and my original goal was to connect with people and cultures from different countries. This time, I was finally able to experience the best stay in Okayama, Japan. It's so wonderful that 5 stars aren't enough! There was no need to worry about transportation, and Shuji and his wife picked us up and dropped us off at the station for three days. Thanks to this, the transfer to Okayama, Naoshima, and Kojima was very smooth, and it is a really recommended inn for those who want to go around the islands. It also has good access to Uno Port and is a perfect location for a trip to Naoshima. During these three days, Shuji and his wife gave us a really warm welcome. I heard that the two of you are in your 70s, but the room and bathroom were cleaned incredibly well, Above all, I was struck by the kindness and attention to detail. In the morning, the most delicious breakfast in the world is prepared, and you can play with cute cats and dogs, I have never experienced such a compassionate stay. It is a special place where I would like kind people from all over the world to stay. The couple was truly full of goodwill, and meeting them at this inn made me love the city of Okayama and Kurashiki even more. I have grown to like Okayama more and more. Please take good care of this lovely place and the kind people!

Although it was a little far from the station, I didn't feel any inconvenience because I could shop nearby. Messaging was seamless, and you handled this request very nicely. I would definitely like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

Mayumi is the best host I have ever had!It was a stay that totally exceeded my expectations, as if I was at home.Mayumi was welcoming and warm, taking care of me very considerate, would make a super sophisticated breakfast, would recommend good restaurants to me, and go out for a walk together.I was amazed at her level of Chinese and very happy to chat with her like a good friend. These two days will surely be beautiful memories for a lifetime.Would recommend to anyone and would like to come again!

Contemporary Ryokan "Tenrai" in Castle Town

JonathanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Takahashi is my favorite town to stay in when visiting the Okayama prefecture, and this is my second time visiting TENRAI. It is always very peaceful and serene with tons of natural beauty. It is a short walk away from Raikyuji Temple and the Former Haibara Family Samurai House. With a little bit of effort, you can even walk to the shuttle van stop that takes you to the Mastuyama Castle hiking trails. It is incredibly relaxing to spend early mornings observing the well-manicured private garden at TENRAI. Despite the lush surroundings being full of life, there were no pests within the accommodations. A highlight of this ryokan is the main house’s massive bath that looks like it can seat 4 people. The bath even has its own zen garden, which is incredible to observe while soaking.
