Beautiful atmosphere to get to enjoy! The sound of the waves heard from the outdoor balcony was very peaceful and the picture-windows showing the woods and water was so pretty. Nice space, clean bathrooms, cute decorations, big open kitchen, lots of natural light/views, homey family room. Pretty sunsets at the clean private beach and serene woods in the backyard to walk through. The king bed in the loft I stayed in was comfortable. The pull-out mattress was thinner as most are, so my friend opted to sleep on top of the folded-up pull-out couch itself. The inflatable hot tub was nice to get to enjoy (with jets) and the kitchen was well-stocked with cookingware. We didn't see an outdoor fire ring at our location's beach area as pictured. The room with the main entrance door was slightly colder than the others. Nice to have the air purifiers. John was helpful with our questions and providing detailed instructions. Overall we greatly enjoyed the space for our weekend trip!

The cabin and surrounding area were absolutely gorgeous, such a peaceful spot! The space was very functional and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a small hiccup upon arrival, but Melissa responded quickly and was helpful in getting everything sorted. We really appreciated how well-stocked the cabin was, especially with items to use or borrow for the beach. It made our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

The home was absolutely beautiful and so spacious — perfect for our group to relax and enjoy every moment. The location couldn’t have been better; just a quick 2-minute walk to the beach where we watched the most breathtaking sunsets and even had a beach bonfire one night. It truly felt like a dream. The listing mentioned the stairs — and they weren’t kidding! 😄 There are definitely a lot, but we were prepared for that, and it honestly added to the charm and the view. Every step was worth it! If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable beach escape, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

Had a great stay at Rebecca’s place while in town for a wedding. The location was quiet and looked out over the lake. It was convenient to everything in the downtown area and a cute coffee house was across the street. The living room was a good size and the kitchen was well appointed. If I am ever in Hart again I would gladly book again.

We love staying here! Lovely and character-filled A-frame right on the beach. Not much cell phone service but wifi works well. Highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful 3 night stay with 2 of our granddaughters which are 21 and 12. We all took advantage of the outdoor activities, we played scoop ball, basketball, the girls played in the sand on the private beach, we used the kayaks to see the beauty from the middle of the lake. Loved the 2 decks and the ground level patio which was covered and also a nice dock for fishing. Loved watching lots of turtles sun on the log near the dock. Lots of shade on the 2 decks. Loved the fire ring on the beach which we did enjoy a fire one evening. The indoors is spacious with comfortable furniture, plenty of nice cooking supplies with all the condiments needed for cooking. No dishwasher which was no problem, we brought paper plates. Can sleep a lot of people, has 4 bedrooms. We have already planned our return for next year, we loved this beautiful quiet place so much!! So much to do to disconnect and be off our phones.

Every time we stay here, it feels like we’re the very first guests. Our first visit to the cottage was two years ago, and we knew right away we’d be back! You can spend your days kayaking, fishing, playing in the sand, and watching eagles swoop down to catch fish from the lake. Take a trip to the dunes and enjoy the thrill of a Mac Wood Dune Ride with stunning views of Lake Michigan. Or simply relax—take a nap in the comfy beds and spend your evenings around the fire, watching the sun set over the lake. The hosts feel like friends, the house is perfectly maintained and spotless, and the water is crystal clear and refreshingly cool. The hardest part is leaving this little gem! Don’t miss Cherry Point for fresh-baked goods every day and the best Cherry Butter ever! We also love stopping by Whippy Dip for a sweet ice cream treat (they even have lactose-free options!).

We stayed here for a little family weekend getaway. It was everything we expected, very peaceful, beautiful woodsy area on the lake. Our toddlers and teen really enjoyed the sandbox, boats, and playing in the water by the shore. Dawn was very sweet and the cabin had everything we could’ve asked for. It was a comfortable stay, very kid friendly, and we’d definitely stay again in the future.

I recently stayed at the Trails End Ranch and it was an unforgettable experience.The property is beautiful and peaceful with a charming pond,four gorgeous horses and a friendly cat that made the stay feel like a slice of country heaven. Inside the home was cozy,clean and full of warmth- exactly what you would want for a getaway. One of my favorite parts? The DVD collection,it gave the place a nostalgic,homey touch that makes the evenings feel extra special. If you're looking for a escape with a true ranch vibe and thoughtful little details.Trails End Ranch is 100% place to go. I can't wait to come back!

Beautiful place! Cute and cozy vibe. So many things made our stay great. So well taken care of. Linens and towels smelled wonderful! Obviously attention to detail is a priority, which makes for a great experience. Peaceful deck and convenient firepit. We were able to check in a bit earlier, and also had an hour later checkout, which we appreciated. Wonderful hosts! Highly recommend.

We stayed during the "off" season so lots of activities, shops and places to eat were closed. We didn't mind too much because we were looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. It has to be amazing during the warmer months when you can take advantage of being outside and in the water. Since the house is right on the lake, we had beautiful views. I was lucky enough to catch an amazing sunrise. "The Sandlot" was exactly what you think of when you think family lakehouse. Rustic, cozy and charming. It felt very homey. The house was one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. The only issue we had were so many trips up and down the stairs. If you have any mobility issues like me, (bad knee) then you must be careful on the stairs. They can be kind of slippery in socks.

David's place was pristine and the setting was picturesque! The view from the living room was spectacular and the beach was incredible! The kitchen was well equipped and I honestly have no complaints. A few additional details that might be noteworthy to some: - phone was in SOS mode, but the wifi had great coverage and was speedy - as expected, lots of stairs to the beach, I believe it was around 75 steps - the beach had almost no rocks, it was nearly all sand. So if you're looking for a good rock hunting beach, you'll have to go up north to Summit Park, just south of Ludington (~25 min drive, but it was a beautiful drive!)

We loved the beautiful private beach , and the big house was clean and well furnished.We especially enjoyed the huge sectional in the living room as it became the gathering place for everyone. There were multiple places to sit for eating which was nice. The smaller cottage which was a few steps down from the big house could use some updating .Although the tiny kitchen area was minimal , the porch has a nice view of the lake and the cottage did provide a very quiet place for sleeping. The many steps down to the water were a bit challenging . It would be difficult for anyone with knee or leg issues to go up and down the 62 steps multiple times a day. Thankfully we were all able to navigate them. Our host was very helpful and everything was clean. Overall everyone enjoyed our visit there and we hope to go there again sometime.

Great location, amazing views!!

Reiterating the other comments on amazing location, beach access, and views from deck. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and it made it so much more enjoyable to have kayaks and a paddle board for use. The location made it convenient for our group to come and go as we wanted, without the coordination of driving to the beach. It was a further drive from the most popular tourist attractions on the coast but we thought it was well worth the tradeoff. The lighthouse down the beach is also a great place to visit and one of the few lighthouses we found that weren't under renovation. I would make sure you understand that the majority of beds are twin with a single double bed, in case you come with couples. There was a slight miscommunication from the posting, in that it seems like the hosts would prefer not to use the top bunk beds unless required to for the number of people. Our kids were disappointed but quickly got over it for the beach experience.

Elizabeth was a great host with a beautiful property. She was extremely communicative and helpful, the porch and views were amazing. Be prepared for a lot of steps down to the beach, but definitely worth it for the soft sand clean water and private beach.

We had our 12th annual Grand Valley Colleges friends reunion! We all agreed the piney woodwork around the home, the envelope of pines and forest, generous beach and choice of deck beach views fit exactly what we needed. The expected steps to the private sandy beach were very doable for us aging folks. We managed to make meals for 10 with no problem in the small kitchen which is wonderfully stocked with everything anyone would need. We laughed and talked a bit too long after curfew so I hope we are forgiven for that. It's hard to control when we only get together once a year. We all want to express a huge thank you for sharing this home with us and for all the good energy provided. ❤️

Kevin was absolutely a great host. His place was a great place for vacation. The large patio was great for a gathering. The artwork inside was incredible, felt like I was at home. The beach being so close. The Lighthouse view and the patio was a great view to wake up to. Even some of the small things like lights for the outside steps, lights for the driveway, fans, and more. Highly recommended and would stay there again. Kevin responsive and answered accurately. Wonderful time

The house was exceedingly well appointed, clean and beyond our expectations. The beach was amazing. It was truly a perfect getaway. The bed was so comfortable, and with the sound of the waves, I slept better than I had in years. I would highly recommend this property.

Had a great stay with family excellent square footage in the home and easily accommodated our group. The house was in great condition and the beach access and views were amazing. Laura was very helpful throughout the whole process and very responsive.
