House holiday rentals in Occidental

This place was absolute perfection. The house is adorable, well decorated, comfortable, fabulous kitchen and comfortable beds. Plus coffee was there for us and a generous amount of cooking basics. We had 2 kids with us who loved roaming around the yard and the private location meant they could be as loud as they wanted while playing in the pool. The lounge chairs on the deck were perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and nighttime tea before bed. There were a few cuddly blankets that were great for the chilly mornings. The neighboring cows were talkative and there were a few roosters nearby and some coyotes at night - it felt like we were really in the country but also so close to charming Healdsburg. We are already planning our return trip!

We had a wonderful experience having a small family reunion here. We had two older adults who use walkers and a baby, so I wanted to make sure that the house could accommodate all of us. Place was perfect for this with 3 bedrooms on the first floor, and only a couple steps to manage into the front door. Robin and other hosts were really helpful in answering all of my questions prior to the booking (and after). Loved the pool, hot tub and gazebo sitting area. Used the grill for family dinners. Will treasure our memories here!

Andrew’s house is spectacular. We had such a great time and there was so much space for everyone. The kids loved the pool and we watched the Warriors games in the pool house. The property landscaping was beautiful also. Andrew was a great communicator. I would highly recommend his place for a great getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Happy House! The pool was large and fantastic, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked with everything we needed. The house was spotless, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Both the garden and front yard were lovely, and the pool area was especially private thanks to the high fence. Brook was incredibly friendly, always checked in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, and promptly answered all our questions. She was very helpful throughout our visit. Highly recommend!

Bill is an incredible host! He is so kind and responsive, always trying to make your stay 10/10. The house is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, spotlessly clean, and well-stocked. If you want a truly peaceful and relaxing place to stay, with a kind and attentive host, this is the place you should stay!

Griselda was a wonderful host. Our stay was super last minute and she was very accommodating, responsive and flexible. The location was perfect. We came to hike in Armstrong Redwood Park and her place was only about a 3 min drive there. It was also a three minute drive from the downtown so great location. Beautiful house with lots of space and a huge yard. I'd love to come back in the summer when we could use the outdoor space more, but the hot tub was perfect for the winter.

Matthew’s home exceeded expectations and was incredibly cozy, private, spacious, clean, and spa-like. It was luxurious! It was very pet-friendly, I brought my Labrador with me and he loved lounging on the deck. The weather subsided (though I love the rain) all day Friday to allow for an entire day outdoors! The hot tub was clean and instructions were easy to follow. I loved that Matthew included local recommended spots to check out— I went to Russian River Brewing and Pacific Markets— both great spots with ample walking areas. The home decor is unique and has such character and charm without feeling like you’re stepping into “Magnolia Farms”— so far from it! There are beautiful works of art, antiques, classic and contemporary books; it’s lovely. Matthew is a responsive and kind, generous host. I found my stay tranquil and will be staying again as well as recommending to others! Matthew, thank you for providing a wonderful space for others to enjoy! All my best! Kaitlin & Buddy.

Incredible house and location - was an amazing stay!

We loved our stay so much. The house exceeded our expectations in terms of views, cleanliness, and coziness. The beds were quite comfortable and the house is super quiet and peaceful. We came with our 2 and 4 year old daughters, and while it is not explicitly a kid-oriented house, it worked quite well for us. Details like blackout shades, soft carpets, and a very useable (and gorgeous) outdoor dining area made it especially friendly to small kids, in my opinion. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool we could need. The guestbook also had some great recommendations for local restaurants and activities, and we particularly enjoyed the fact that we could walk up the hill from the house into a hiking / vista area without getting in our car. This was a great find!

Staying at The Bask House was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, Jess made us feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, responsive, and provided thoughtful touches throughout the home that made our stay seamless and relaxing. The house itself is stunning, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and filled with natural light. Every detail was clearly designed with care and comfort in mind. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were plush and cozy, and the outdoor spaces were peaceful and inviting. Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine under the stars at night, every moment at The Bask House felt special. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, but also completely spoiled. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do, close enough to everything we needed, yet quiet and serene. Jess provided fantastic recommendations and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience.

The home was beautiful, we truly enjoyed our time there. They say that pictures are worth a thousand words but pictures of the views from the multiple balconies are unable to capture how stunning they really are. The home was just as listed, clean and was the most stocked home we have visited. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and made unforgettable memories.

Sean’s place, Arantxa, was nothing short of stunning. From the moment we arrived, it felt like paradise surrounded by trees, birdsong, and so much open space to breathe and relax. It was incredibly peaceful. We brought our dog with us, and it couldn’t have been more pet-friendly. From treats to thoughtful amenities, everything was set up to make sure our pup felt just as welcome and happy as we did. The tub was a dream... cozy for two, but still so relaxing and luxurious. Parking was easy with ample space, and Sean was the most responsive and thoughtful host, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Guerneville and want a serene, nature-filled escape with all the right touches, I couldn’t recommend this Airbnb more highly. I would definitely go back if I visit Guerneville again!

Jerry was very proactive and responsive during our stay. The home fit our family perfectly and was large enough to allow us to host a family dinner for others staying elsewhere. The home and furnishings are exactly as described and was centrally located for all of our activities. Thank you Jerry!

We stayed at Pixel Place with our kids from Arizona to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. We couldn’t have picked a better place. The home was spotless with great amenities. I have never stayed at a cleaner location. The home and gardens are absolutely beautiful. We were able to get a little an earlier check-in time which is always nice. Pixel Place is located close to the things we wanted to see and do and it was very relaxing when we were there on our down time. Plus our grandson was in heaven with all the games. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. If you are considering this to be your home away from home, I highly recommend it. I would love to stay there again in the future.

We had a wedding in Occidental and Michael's listing was the perfect stay for me, my wife, our 2 kids under 2 years old, and nanny. We wondered what Camp Meeker was going to be like but found the neighborhood plenty safe and nice, the neighbors were friendly across the street, and the place was a nice as it looks in the listing. There's very little cell phone service in the area, but Michael provides excellent instructions on how to navigate this. Great stay!

Kim's place was serene. The main living area looks into the backyard with lush bamboo and trees. The jacuzzi is tucked away from view of the house and itself is nestled under the canopy of trees. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and plates. Everything you need to make a meal (bring your own food). A grocery store is a 5 minute drive into Forrestville. We loved it.

Fabulous view, lovely, private space. So many amenities. A Perfect hot tub with a view. Such a relaxing and beautiful home. Heated floor in the bathroom, very comfortable bed, and so many whimsical touches! We asked about beach towels and they were delivered the next morning—above and beyond hospitality! I loved the foresty locale, but also appreciated the artful landscaping. We so enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful!!! Tucked into the woods, comfy, checked all the boxes. Easy drive into Guernville, Armstrong Woods, & Korbel Winery. If it’s your first time in the area I would recommend a smaller vehicle, the road is one lane, winding and narrow. Also, we forgot about the spiral staircase to the bedrooms upstairs. A bit of a challenge for larger luggage or anyone with physical limitations. Great rental- would rent again.

Apple House was very good to me. The space is beautiful and tucked in beautiful, serene surroundings. It was well-appointed and comfortable. A space for reconnecting to yourself and breathing deeply!
