Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Obwalden

Emmanuel's house is large, suitable for our family of 6. It is located in a peaceful village and we really enjoyed its setting and were lucky enough to have snow for Christmas.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, definitely would recommend and visit again. The house was really well equipped, located in a beautiful area surrounded by mountains.

Very good stay at Hans-Jörg’s. Great view of the mountains, quiet environment and super close to the train station. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here. Perfect for our family. The location for us was ideal. Picturesque, all that we imagined Switzerland to be. The views every morning every evening are amazing. I am sure it is amazing during winter time as well. For us it was perfect and truth be told well beyond our expectation. Waterfalls mountain views, evening cow bells..what more could we want...and connectivity with trains and buses right out the front door 😍😍 we plan to come back with our second daughter. We experienced sunshine, and rainy weather, both had their own vibe in this chalet. Please know that it is away from busy hustle bustle, but if you crave that Brienze is like 7 miles drive (or you could take the bus) and any location is a train journey away! Spectacular and absolutely amazing hosts, In Spite of having researched our visit I believe I had a lot of questions 😜😜 our host was very quick with responses that were full of insights. Loved our stay.

We had a wonderful 5 days at this beautiful cabin. The name is perfect. Heimeli. Very cozy, we felt right at home. The valley is spectacular. The ski area close. U. Is great for hiking and exploring in the summer. Matthes is a great host, very friendly and helpful. We‘ll be back!

We enjoyed a lovely & peaceful long weekend at Daniel and Erica's chalet. It's the perfect, accessible place for those who live in Zurich and want to get far away ... without going far away! Highlights were the gorgeous garden and al fresco dining on the sunny days, fireplace on a rainy evening, and close proximity to stunning forest. Lots of great hiking options at your doorstep. Daniel and Erica take excellent care of the house and their guests, A-Z, and you won't be left wanting for anything. We can especially recommend staying here if you're bringing your pup with you. Our dog was in heaven.

Everything was super! Beautiful private house on the mountain with fantastic view, 3 min by car till Skilift. Super clean and comfortable. Feeling like at home. We were second time at Nic’s house. Will come again for sure. Thanks a lot, Nic!

Driving to and from here can be a struggle—but the location was so cute and quaint! We loved it! Idyllic! Affordable and close to amazing views!

We loved the home—it was a beautiful place surrounded by mountains. We definitely hope to visit again.

Our stay experience at Maja and Heinz's place couldn't have been better. This is a pretty big space to live for a family of 4 or even upto 6 people. The house is in pristine condition, very clean. Beds are comfortable, two dining areas one in the kitchen, one in the living room and also a full dining table in the covered deck. The deck has beautiful views of the mountain. The kitchen is equipped all cooking utensils with everything what you need for making a meal. There are 4 grocery stores within 5 minutes distance. If you plan to visit Luzerne and Interlaken area, you can stay here at this one place. Luzerne is about 15-20 minutes and Interlaken is about 45-50 minutes. Maja is always very responsive, she usually responds within 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay at Nora's was excellent. The apartment keeps what it promises in the pictures. Nora is extremely friendly and provided us in advance with all the necessary information about the apartment and its use. The apartment is decorated with a lot of love, so you immediately felt comfortable. We will be happy to come back!

This is first time I waited to give review. The place is very near to Brienz station and the location is picture perfect. It was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the welcome treats were very thoughtful, kids had lot of toys that they didn’t want to go outside, beds, towels, bathrooms everything was very clean. Downside is we all ended up staying home for 2 days and not going anywhere as per our plan. Our family had amazing time in the house. I would definitely recommend it. Very nice place and host. Thank you Jacqueline for everything. I loved your family pictures in house, the similes in pictures, the antique pieces that you saved. It really felt like home.

Beautifully furnished apartment with all the comforts. Secluded high in the mountains, giving a lot of peace, ideal for walks and unwind. Clear instructions and host is quick to respond. We had a very nice time at Yvonne's apartment.

This the perfect spot if you are seeking a quiet stay, in nature, with plenty of hiking options. Our kids loved the playground and the crostata they serve at the nearby restaurant.

Heidi is a GREAT HOST! Our stay at her accommodation was great. She is warm, friendly and genuinely interested in her guests. Heidi gave us valuable tips about the area, even though I knew the area already well. We had nice conversations when we ran into each other around the house, but she also totally respected our privacy. The lower house was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well equipped to prepare simple but good meals. The garden offered several seating areas, but we always chose the beautiful view of the mountains. Heidi was very attentive, like when she put an extra umbrella on the terrace on a hot day to keep it comfortable. She also sometimes surprised us with fresh figs and we were allowed to use herbs from her garden. The location is perfect: quiet, yet centrally located. Directly behind the house start beautiful hiking trails through the mountain meadows. We had a memorable time and will definitely be back. Absolutely recommended!!

Ray's has an amazing special hostel and it's truly great to stay here! I stayed for only one night, but when I came in, I was instantly greeted and given a tour of the house which is very luxurious! It was great meeting the other people staying there and the view in the morning is truly amazing! I will definitely come back next time I stay in Switzerland!

The cottage was beautiful! Ideal for the skiers who want to ski directly from home. House was very clean! Esther was very helpful and you can definitely count on her!

We were warmly welcomed! Place was very neat and clean. We received a lot of travel tips. It was still a little too fresh for the natural pool (for our taste) but it looked great! Certainly very refreshing in the height of summer! In heavy weather, Simon even drove us to the city and my girlfriend and I were able to stay dry in the bars! Really very friendly and accommodating! Not a given! On the whole, this accommodation has uncomplicated hosts, a super friendly family, which also offers its guests enough privacy and a magnificent kitchen (used daily). Gerti is an amazing host! Extremely friendly and kind, helped us with all our questions. The breakfast she made was also very delicious. The house itself has incredible views and is an architectural masterpiece. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone!! Can't wait to come back!👏🏼

Very nice place. Nice surrounding. A little far to walk to the town/shopping area, but the view is worth it.

Hosts are very helpful understanding and kind. You can ask anything with them. Maggie showed me the house and she is warm-hearted. Rainer is interesting and responsible. And the guests was all Americans, they invited me to play games, which is very fun and they were very nice and friendly. I recommend those want to make friends or travel pals to try this. And it is so worth it. Love you guys!
