Excelente host!

La Calera was our oasis in a city for one month, January 2025. The compound that Luis Jesus has created from his families old lime factory is a beautiful, serene and architecturally fantastic space, like living in a sculpture park setting. About 1.2 mile outside city center, it was a great walk for us, learn the upper road back way to avoid high traffic roads. The staff, specifically Ignacio, were so friendly and available and anything we asked they were responding positively. The beds and linens are very good, bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to dogs and city noise. We were so happy we found and stayed at La Calera for our time in the amazing city of Oaxaca and we recommend you don’t miss the opportunity to stay or plan an event in this lovely, safe, creative space. Thank you Luis Jesus for our time, it was very special.

I loved my stay at Daniel's place. The apartment is huge and has giant windows and high ceilings that let in a lot of light. I loved the kitchen, it has everything you need. The fans are powerful. I loved the L-shaped sofa and the huge bed with all the pillows, the place felt very luxurious. There are dogs somewhere in a back yard but usually they don't bark at night, just bring some earplugs in case. Shower was great, always hot water. I just advise visitors who come to Oaxaca to be mindful with water because there is serious scarcity in the city. But I always had plenty of water in this beautiful place. I work remotely and was able to work well with the internet. I love this part of Oaxaca as it's very local and has some great street food vendors and you can walk everywhere. And last but not least, Dan was an amazing host! I had some problems (unrelated to the house) and he was ready to help going beyond what one would expect. Gracias por todo!

¡El lugar es bello! Wifi funcionó en todo momento, la experiencia del baño seco fue buena, sin embargo no recomendaría quedarte en temporada de invierno porque tienes que salir tanto a la regadera como al baño ( y más si hay lluvia), sin embargo con clima caluroso o templado está genial. El espacio estuvo limpio y la cama cómoda. Sin duda me volvería a quedar aquí.

The unit was clean and quiet, in a bustling city was nice to escape to the quiet courtyard and relax in the room after a long day

Maru's space represents a good value. I liked the quietness at night and the bed was very comfortable. Cleanliness is a bit lacking as well as basic cutlery and cooking essentials.

This place was very nice. Sra. Mary was very pleasant and even made me a tlayuda when I arrived late and no restaurant were open. very close to Monte Alban. Nice view of the city from the balcony.

It felt like a bohemian abode designed by Luis Baragán. Austere, but spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

Excelente espacio, muy amplio, súper limpio y muy bien ubicado.

Cómo en casa. El alojamiento es muy cómodo y espacioso. Las camas estaban muy cómodas y muy cerca del aeropuerto que era lo que buscábamos, puedes llegar incluso caminando. El centro realmente no es lejos, en carro son 15 min, me encanta porque es cerca de los municipios de artesanías. Dentro del alojamiento cuando tuvimos algún "problemilla" Benny respondió muy rápido y nos dio solución en seguida. Realmente recomendable. Sin duda repetiremos.

This Airbnb was fantastic—definitely a winner. I had a last-minute issue with another booking, so I sent a request for this place around 9 a.m. on a Monday, and I was in the unit by 11 a.m. Incredible responsiveness! The apartment is beautiful and in an amazing location. I’d absolutely stay here again if I get the chance. Note for remote workers: the Wi-Fi is excellent!

I stayed at Yuri’s place for a month and had a great experience. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and perfect for remote work. Yuri and her husband were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They let me try different suites to ensure strong Wi-Fi. Someone came to clean almost every week, which was a nice touch. The bus to the center takes about 15 minutes, but the wait can be 30+ minutes. When that happened and I was in a rush, they kindly gave me a ride. They even picked me up from the center on my first day. When I got sick at the end, I asked Yuri if she could bring me some food, and she kindly did it for me. Such a wonderful host!

Es súper cómoda, funcional, con mucho espacio para mis mascotas, tiene espacios perfectos para pasar el día! Incluso es más amplio de cómo se ve en las fotos… tiene todo lo que uno necesita incluso hasta más para pasarla rico! Nos encantó!!! Nos dejó cositas ricas en el refri y en la estancia que disfrutamos muchísimo. Recomendado ampliamente

Cesar’s place was a superb find. Just outside of the centre as to be peaceful, but close enough to be within minutes of shops, restaurants and bars. The area is well lit and feels very safe. The apartment itself is wonderful inside, with a comfy bed and air conditioning, although due to its construction it’s normally a very pleasant temperature inside all day. Cesar was super responsive and as we were fortunate to be able to check in early he met us there and showed us everything. On the last day he booked us a taxi and was there to wave us off as we made our way to the airport. A genuinely lovely host. We would definitely stay here again.

Gabriel y Esther hicieron nuestra estadia muchisimo mas adorable y entrañable. Nos esperaron tarde a la llegada por una demora de ADO y no tuvieron problemas, el departamento era tal cual lo muestran en las imagenes y no dieron miles de indicaciones para que hacer y como hacerlas, siempre estuvieron pendiente de nosotros si necesitabamos algo o teniamos alguna consulta. La ubicacion era estupenda para moverse a pie .

Alejandro ha sido uno de los mejores anfitriones que he tenido! Fue muy amigable durante toda la estancia. La ubicación es perfecta porque está junto a Chedraui y tiene muchas cosas a menos de 5 minutos como paquetería, restaurantes, farmacias, etc El alojamiento está bien equipado y todo en perfecto estado. No tuve ningún problema con agua caliente. La señora de limpieza también fue bastante amigable

Great little apartment, extremely well located with great restaurants and attractions around. It's walkable distance from the Centro Historico and Jalatlaco is a beautiful neighbourhood. The apartment has everything you need for a stay in Oaxaca. Josue was very nice, gave us some recommendations and is very responsive. I highly recommend this place.

Es un excelente alojamiento y algo cercano al Centro. Si lo que buscas es algo acogedor y privado, este definitivamente es el lugar ideal. Volvería a quedarme aquí sin duda

El lugar está bien ubicado, puedes acceder a todos los lugares caminando. Cumple perfectamente con lo que se muestra en las fotos y es cómodo, estaba muy limpio todo. Arquímedes siempre pendiente con recomendaciones y bastante accesible. Sin duda me volvería a hospedar en el lugar.

Alvaro’s place was just as described. It was comfortable, clean, and close to everything. I appreciated how accessible and friendly he was during my entire stay.

Excelente lugar, está muy cerca del centro, súper limpio, ordenado, mucha privacidad... Gabriela nos apoyo muchísimo y gracias ella pudimos tener una estancia sin preocupaciones, sin duda regresaría a ese lugar. Lo uno malo fue que está en una avenida principal y el ruido de los autos siempre está, aunque la verdad no tuve problemas para dormir ya que el ruido en la noche baja muchísimo

I had a wonderful one month stay here. You really get a neighborhood feel in the surrounding area. There are many good restaurants nearby and the Mercado makes for a great visit for necessities or to grab a quick bite. The place was cleaned once a week and kept super clean. Highly recommend
