Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nygård, Bergen

Two colleagues used the place for collaborative work on a writing project and had a great stay.

We were a group of 13 people and had a wonderful time! :) (even saw some Northern Lights!!) Definitely recommend the place:)

Jannike was friendly, helpful and kind. She was very communicative in advance of our stay as well as during the stay and had some brilliant recommendations. At all times she was wanting the best for our stay and was quick to reply and help wherever necessary. We would love to come back and the whole stay was a delight!

A very nice location, we used the boat and kayaks a lot and of course also caught fish. Jan responds very quickly. Everything is present in the house and we have enjoyed it very much with our family.

I had a wonderful stay at Jarle's home. The location is absolutely fantastic, nestled in a peaceful spot with breathtaking views of the fjords and surrounding mountains. It truly felt like an escape into nature. Getting there was a breeze thanks to the detailed instructions provided by the host, which made the whole experience stress-free from the start. The house itself was cozy and very well equipped – everything we needed was right there, making it feel like a true home away from home. Jarle was exceptionally kind and attentive, always just a message away if I had a question. It is clear he and his wife genuinely care about their guests' comfort and experience. That said, the place does have a lived-in feel, so if you're looking for a more impersonal or hotel-like stay, this might not be the perfect fit. But if you appreciate character, comfort, and a sense of being welcomed into someone’s home, you’ll love it here. Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

Cabin was clean, was surprised to have to pay extra for sheets - only that my daughter noticed it on the listing a few days before otherwise we would have arrived and there would have been none. area is quiet, apart from the hotel that really only opens on the weekend in June (limited set menu Mon-Fri) there are no other restaurants so you have to cook yourself. Cleaning fee is a bit steep considering the amount of cleaning that is expected by the host - very long ist of jobs - essentially leave it exactly as you found it so at a loss as to what the actual fee covers! apart from those small issues the place was beautifiu and Bjarne responded quickly when contacted.

We loved our holiday adventure. Our hosts went out of their way for us, thank you for your local tips, and helpful communication. Their lovely home was clean, spacious, and has everything you need (and more) for a young family, including a great play area outside. Set in the most beautiful location, a perfect base to explore the incredible Norwegian area around Bergen. The mountains, rocks, greenery and water are so magnificent. Visiting Voss, having lunch on the top of the mountain by cable car and white water rafting in the afternoon. Rib ride into the Fjord at Flåm. Cruise to Modalen and trek up 'The Castle'. Helicopter flight over Folgefonna glacier are some of our highlights. Including recommended walks from the house and visiting local Golta. Everything was so incredible. Having such a lovely home to come back to each day, where everything is comfortable, accessible and just perfect, really made this holiday wonderful. We really didn't want to leave. Thank you.

Our stay was great. The house has an amazing view and it is perfectly clean. It has everything you need. The neighborhood is residential and very quiet. We were more than happy!

We had a great stay at Håkon’s house for our 1-day trip to Bergen. The house is located on a relatively quiet street, which mostly has pedestrian and bike/e-scooter traffic. This also means that there is no parking options right next to the house, however, we found several parking options close by, so this turned out to not be much of an issue for us. The house was clean and comfortable and featured all the amenities we would usually expect. When considering this house, please be aware that all bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs going up to these are steep - hence, if anyone in the group has walking difficulties, this could be a problem. Otherwise, we would fully recommend this house to other people traveling to Bergen.

We had a great holiday staying at Katerina's apartment. lovely walks nearby, good bus links into Bergen and supermarkets nearby. both Katarina and Jarle were great sources of information and very attentive. Thank you.

On a good summer day, you will have to search for a more idyllic place!

Therese’s apartment was very comfortable and well equipped for eating in or having a lazy morning at the apt. All our activities were within walking distance. We also enjoyed neighborhood restaurants and beautiful enjoying sunsets off the balcony. Therese was very responsive to any of our needs.

Christen is unlike any other host. He met me at the bus stop and helped me with the luggage. He has a handwritten book of recommendations on where to eat and what to do, along with helpful instructions for the stay. He had left a bottle of wine, and cookies and coffee for me, which was very thoughtful. The place is super walkable to the city centre and the tour/airport bus stops. While central, it’s also tucked away from all the city centre madness and thereby offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Norway. Christen was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Bergen (as long as they don’t mind climbing up a few flight of stairs). Thanks for the lovely time in Bergen, Christen! Hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to the incredibly beautiful city of Bergen. :) Cheers!

A unique view from living room and kitchen, could get the feeling of living on the sea. The apartment was stylish and lightly furnished. It is a bit of a touch of wear and tear, possibly many who do not treat the fixtures like their own. Slightly twisted access to parking space in the basement, you have to call the owner to get in, or park in the driveway and walk around to open. It got some grumpy with"park" who had to wait for me a few minutes :) However, Bjørn is the kindness itself so it didn't feel hard to call. Very nice area with nice running/footpath along the sea inwards towards the marina. Supermarkets rest Restaurant and Cafe in the immediate vicinity. I stayed here for 1 week and am very happy with my stay.

The apartment was great and really cozy, and the surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful. The host was amazing and responsive. I’m officially in love with Norway after our stay.

We had a wonderful time at Benediktes place in Bergen. The apartment is beautiful and cozy and the view is stunning. There are many hiking trails waiting at the doorstep. Benedikte is absolutely friendly and the check-in, communication and renting were very uncomplicated. We would definitely come back!

I had an easy and enjoyable stay - easy to get into Bergen. 10min walk to the bus with regular busses until late. When I needed peace, quiet and a home cooked meal - Ivar Oles placed was perfect for that :)

Great place to stay with the family, close to everything (restaurants, transportation, markets), we enjoyed our stay at Vibeke’s place.

The apartment is located is at 5 mins walk away from the harbour with groceries store nearby. Apartment is clean, stylish and cosy. Marius is very communicative regarding when we asked him questions. Overall would definitely recommend.

Kristiyana is great and the apartment is too! We had a minor tv problem and Kristiyana was there in a flash to fix it with a smile. Her suggestions were amazing and the LOCATION is perfect. It’s quiet despite being only an eight minute walk from Bergen’s active, historic, bustling and enchanting waterfront area. She suggested the trip to Rosendal by boat and the history of the Barony there from the late 1600’s, the manicured gardens and amazing food are all first rate. We were VERY happy with this experience!!

Had an amazing stay the flat was amazing and the views were very nice. Ingrid was a lovely host and very welcoming. It’s very easy to travel around the area and into Bergen as the bus terminal is a 5 minute walk away along with a supermarket and shopping center.

Really amazing place. We used the boat often and really set it apart. The walk down from the parking area is a hike, but worth the trek.
