Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in Northeastern United States

We are a family of 6 and two dogs. The house was perfect. We all had a place of our own to sleep. 2 1/2 bathrooms was so helpful! The house is really nice and has the most beautiful view of the trees and mountains! It was very relaxing to sit on the deck. The beds were all comfortable. Plenty of towels and sheets. Everything was very clean. Obviously you have to bring your own food and toiletries but plenty of spices, pots/pans cups, silverware in kitchen. The host was great and responded quickly to my questions. Parker pie is a great place for pizza and hill farmstead brewery also great to check out. If I ever go to this area again I would definitely want this house as it really was wonderful!

Claire’s beautiful cabin was a beautiful spot to relax and get away for the weekend. My dogs and I were attending an agility trial in Waterbury VT and Claire’s cabin was a perfect place to rest. It was within a half hour of several nice hiking trails as well. I loved to quiet and views so much that I skipped out of dinner with agility friends so I could get back, relax and watch the sunset. Claire was very responsive and the homemade soup and cookies she left were not just a nice touch, but were delicious as well! We will definitely be back!

This place is truly unique. It's a get away space for musicians who share it when they aren't using it. The place has been built up and settled in. It's gorgeous, the location and the barn architecture. But it's not uptight. It feels like late 60s - early 70s rock and roll, or like classic country music. Maddy's family has a phenomenal record collection and the stereo sounds SO good. The albums we brought came to life there. There's also an excellent book collection, lots of rock and music stuff but also philosophy, literature, eco books, and classic kids book (lots of kids books and a massive toy trunk with toys for kids of all ages!). The kitchen has got pretty much everything you need, and all the basic amenities and appliances. Around about are lots of area lamps, interesting hangings, colored glass, rugs, throws, and well cared for house plants. Finally, the pond and field have not been chemical killed. So, there are lots of birds, frogs, fish, and nests.

We had a great stay at Dan & Holly’s place! Easy to check in, it was spotless, and they had thoughtful gifts to welcome us. Great home base for exploring Rutland, Killington, Woodstock, and Quechee. Thank you!

We had a quiet stay at the Farmhouse. Very peaceful and quiet location. Lots of space for our dog to roam. The house is very nice and clean. We enjoyed having coffee and looking out across the fields, reading, and cooking. It’s near the small village of Rochester with a few restaurants and otherwise we explored neighboring towns like Middlebury, Waitsfield, Stowe, and Montpelier.

Kathy's cabin on the lake is the most magical place - quiet, peaceful and beautiful, the log cabin a throwback to an earlier time (but with great wifi). We sat on the dock with coffee and listened to the sound of loons out on the water. Kathy is also a great host. We will be back (we have actually stayed here a number of times because it's really the most lovely).

What a cute house so full of history. We loved our 1 night stop at Hillary's farm house. It was very comfy and very quiet. Fresh eggs from the farm is a must. Thank you for hosting us!

We loved Julia and Paul's home so much. The location is super private, serene, and just special. The mountain views, the light that changed the landscape minute to minute was all meditative. The house has wonderful homey and cosy vibes. The fireplace is spectacular. I'm sorry if we put a dent in the woodpile ! The large, open kitchen was a joy to cook in, we made all our meals here effortlessly with all local ingredients. Julia was super helpful with nearby recommendations and checked in at the right times without being overbearing. The house was immaculate. This is a gem of a place, don't hesitate to stay here. We would come back for sure.

We came up for a few nights to elope in the mountains with our two dogs. Meghan was so accommodating. This is our second time at this cabin but plan on making this our go to vacation spot when we come to Lake Placid!

Nancy's place was a great place to stay, very private and quiet with beautiful surroundings. Easy access to Quechee and Woodstock (~20 min). Skunk Hallow Pub and Farmer's Market just down the street and Harpoon, Simon Pearce factory in Windsor easy to get to. Hope to visit again soon. Nancy's is a fantastic host!

We absolutely adored our stay at the cabin. It is idyllic inside and out! It was amazing to come home to after a day of exploring. The bed was super comfortable and the highlight for us was watching VHS on the TV with snacks. It is so well equipped and cosy, also enjoyed a lovely bath in the claw foot tub. Just perfect for a rustic, cosy stay in nature. A highlight for me was stepping outside at night and listening to (I assume they were) frogs!! They were so loud and it was incredible to hear them, the trees were also surrounded by fireflies (I’d never seen them before!) and I’ll always remember that perfect moment of peace. Thank you for making our 10 year anniversary so memorable with such a lovely place to stay, if you’re thinking of it for a special occasion or just as a base to explore this adorable region of Vermont, look no further :) thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Ali and Carson’s cabin! They were incredibly helpful and welcoming hosts. The Mountain View from the cabin is absolutely stunning, even with the rainy weather, it was breathtaking. We also enjoyed exploring the charming nearby towns, and our two dogs had a great time as well. Despite the rain, we loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back when the weather is better. Highly recommend!

Lisa was an amazing host! The cabin is very well kept and has everything you could need. Beautiful mountain view too! I went for a week of hiking and Lisa’s son left me a whole page length note telling me about great hiking trails around the area and accurate details on how to get there. Great recommendations too! Will definitely stay here again if I return to this area.

The whole trip was fantastic and Jonathan was a great host, answering all of our questions with speedy responses and having the cabin stuffed with board games, extra blankets, and even a little stash of good coffee in the freezer. Thank you again for an amazing time!

We had a fabulous long weekend at Shasta’s place. Our family loves the outdoors and the location couldn’t have been better. It is right on Garnet Hill XC ski and snowshoe trails. Garnet Hill has been a favorite of our for years and so discovering this house was a gem of a find. It is also super close to Gore for some great downhill skiing and great snowshoe trails are also close. It is also super quiet being away from roads and other houses. We enjoyed cuddling up in front of the fire and playing games in the evening. We’re definitely planning to try to come back in the future!

Cozy spot with scenic views of Silver Lake. Our host Eric was responsive and provided detailed instructions on how to access the space and all of the perks included with the rental. Will definitely rebook if I ever find myself back in the area.

Absolutely amazing, we had great plans, but the ice storm and the cozy fireplace changed those plans. Hermann and Tracy were an absolute blast! Super chill, and super friendly, we would come back just to spend time with them! We had a cute visitor to come check up on us as well! We hope to be back, thank you hosting us Hermann and Tracy!

Kari’s place was warm and accommodating, a lovely place to retreat into the mountains for a few days. The kids loved playing in the yard & we loved cozy evenings by the fire. Kari was such a wonderful, responsive host, full of local recommendations & when the coffee pot went on the fritz, she zipped over and replaced it immediately. We had a wonderful trip & would definitely come again!

WoW quel séjour inoubliable!! Pêche à la truite dans le ruisseau, marche en forêt et bonheur autour du feu. Mes chiens étaient comblés et nous aussi d’ailleurs. Endroit idéal pour décrocher.

Spend my 39th birthday here with my family and we all had fun. The jacuzzi was nice, the game room was fully equipped and brought me back to my youth. The sauna and tub jacuzzi was also a plus. The house host was very responsive and polite. The house had everything you needed and more! Will definitely come back again and I recommend it to anyone looking to getaway in this serene, tranquil and beautiful home and private community 10/10!!!!!

Colleen and Alex’s G-Frame was the ideal glamping escape for city dwellers. Blending comfort with charm, it had just the right amount of amenities to feel cozy and convenient without tipping into an over-the-top luxurious experience. We stayed during the spring, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The G-Frame is thoughtfully positioned on the property to offer a strong sense of privacy while still being well connected to nature. One of our favorite features was the sauna—it added a peaceful, detoxifying element without any of the sticky, uncomfortable feelings you might expect while camping. The hosts were warm, communicative, and respectful of our space. 10/10 would recommend. 10/10 would come back.

Had a absolutely wonderful weekend stay at this cabin. Everything was clean and organized. The surrounding woods are beautiful.

We’d stayed at Will & Patti’s place before, prior to the pandemic, and were so pleased to see not much had changed - it’s still as beautiful and peaceful as we remember. The perfect place to get away for a weekend to hike and unplug from everything. We hope to stay longer next time!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! Carly gave a great list of recommendations and was very responsive. There was so much to do in the area to keep us busy we didn’t turn the tv on for the entire week. The area was peaceful and private, the view beautiful, and the hot tub was a plus. We also enjoyed all the games available for us to play! We would definitely recommend and stay here again!
