Houseboat holiday rentals in North Sea

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

We were thrilled with the place, Lots of equipment for kitchen, hygiene and pastime! (Books, DVDS real.) Very cozy furniture and cozy atmosphere as described. If you have any questions, Raoul will respond quickly!

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

Hanco’s house boat was just perfect for our stay. The location was perfect and we could easily walk to everything that we wanted to see, and there was a fantastic supermarket (Ekoplaza) and cafe deli (Stach) a 5 min walk away. We also enjoyed watching the coots and their chicks in a nest right outside the window! Hanco was incredibly helpful and responsive, and kindly put a travel cot up for our arrival.

A beautiful and serene place on the river, minutes walk from Arnhem city center. Marco kindly welcomed me to his houseboat – such a unique and comfortable place to stay! Spotlessly clean, cosy, comfy bed/bedding, quiet and peaceful, a slice of nature so close to the center but away from the noise. Nice walks along the river. A good night’s sleep. This is a gem of a place hosted by good people. Highly recommended.

Great space, great host! Hadewych was so responsive and helpful. I just loved the charm of the boat, it was a really neat experience! The bed was SO comfortable, I slept wonderfully. I do wish the couch was more comfortable though, was not conducive to getting comfy after a long day out exploring. It is an older boat so smells a bit musty and a few cobwebs in the chandelier, but you are able to open the windows and get the fresh air in which is very nice. Kitchen was well equipped, just didn't have a freezer which I wanted to store ice and ice cream etc. Had a problem with the pump but Hadewych was quick to remedy the situation. The location was superb - there was a fantastic grocery right around the corner (the produce is delicious!!), a lot of restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall a really great experience that I will cherish!

Absolutely brilliant houseboat. Super nicely decorated - very modern - equipped with everything you need. It was sparkling clean and cozy. We felt completely comfortable and enjoyed the life on the houseboat very much (a great experience). The boat includes a sup, which we tried despite the season. In and around the boat is very quiet and yet you are almost in the middle of it - it is only a few meters to the actual place. Really great: the supermarket is right across the street. Anita and Diedert are great and very attentive hosts, whom we did not meet in person but the communication with them was excellent. We would love to come again.

Thank you for the beautiful accommodation! We were able to relax and unwind wonderfully. Exactly what we wanted. In the morning and in the evening it was especially nice to hear the toads in the Wangermeer. The houseboat is equipped with screens around the windows, so spiders have stayed outside the house boat. However, those who are afraid of spiders should know that the spiders are outside on the houseboat. Which is quite normal, in nature. However, the small fluttering sparrows regularly take them away :-) The sunrise over the sea was a treat every morning. We'd love to vacation here again. Best regards, Ulrike, Juliane and Jesse

We really enjoyed it. The surroundings are quiet and fantastically beautiful. The little cottage is something special. It was well equipped. We felt comfortable.

We had a lovely extended weekend on the houseboat! The location was fantastic – quiet, right on the water, with beautiful views. The boat was very clean, well equipped and cozily furnished, with everything you need. We especially liked the small terrace, perfect for breakfast or the evening. An absolute recommendation for those who want to experience something different and relax! I'm sure we'll be back.

We had a wonderful stay on the houseboat! The furnishings and equipment were very tasteful and well thought out. Everything was super clean and well maintained, which immediately gave us a good feeling. The early check-in was possible without any problems - a great extra! The location by the lake is nice and quiet, but the water was very weedy at the time of our stay, which made it a little less inviting for swimming. But there were two SUPs and a canoe for free use.

Everything worked smoothly from booking to departure. The place was very clean and well maintained. Communication with Frauke and Patrick was very straightforward, friendly and helpful. A great opportunity was to rent the motorboat directly on the houseboat – a great opportunity to explore the surroundings from the water. We will be happy to come back! ChatGPT can make mistakes. Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Valerio’s houseboat was incredible and a true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. It was very big and had the cutest and most clever details throughout. We stayed a few places during our trip and we all agreed her houseboat was our favorite!!

We had a lovely time on Renske and Tim’s house boat. The suite was exactly as described and showcased in the pictures. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Though not in the city centre, the connection via public transport was great. My partner and I spent some time exploring Amsterdam and could afterwards wind down while reading our books on the deck. All the neighbours were very friendly and we highly recommend the accommodation to anyone considering booking it!

Beautiful residential location. On the water. Accommodation neat and clean. Fully equipped. Fishing from the garden and in the harbor. Sloop rented in the harbor on the advice of the host, perfectly arranged and also very friendly there. Flexible in arrival and departure times. Thoughtful. Very nice.

Stunning boat with numerous amenities/ gems. Truly enjoyed it. Will absolutely be back!
