King's Guest Ranch Vacation Heaven

Our ranch is close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, Medora Musical, Maah Daah Hey trail and restaurants. We offer a different experience than you will get it Medora. The ranch is a peaceful retreat while being an easy 8 mile drive from town. Guests routinely tell us the ranch rivals the national park for scenery and its right out their door. An added bonus, the drive to town is spectacular. If you need Wifi we have free Wifi in our guest lounge in our garage.

The Juniper Ridge Cabin was built in 1998. This log cabin is one of 3 cabins located on our working cattle ranch. We are located in the heart of the Badlands, only 14 miles south of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit, and 65 miles north of the TRNP South Unit. We have miles of hiking trails or riding trails if you prefer to bring your horses. This secluded cabin has it's own private hot tub, and all your modern amenities, but still has that rustic feel.

This place was a pleasant surprise. We wanted somewhere convenient for the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and options were limited. Christian's place is an old-fashioned motel, but well-maintained, clean and comfortable, and quiet. A minor issue is the lack of WiFi. Be warned - food options in Belfield are limited. No fresh fruit or veg in the local supermarket, no salads on the menu in the local bar/pizzeria. Medora, to the West and at the entrance to the National Park, offers a slightly wider selection.

Staying at Rachel’s place is what made our trip to North Dakota so peaceful and memorable. I wanted to just be in nature, disconnect, and not hear people haha. Grassy Butte delivered just that. It was the perfect place to call home during our trip. Travel to/from Theodora Roosevelt National Park is so easy. After a long day of hiking, it was so relaxing to come back, go on a walk around the property, and unwind with some time in the hot tub while taking in the beauty of the area. Rachel is an above and beyond host. I can’t recommend this place enough and am so lucky we were able to stay here!
