Characteristic is the ‘smûke’ scenery with thousands of kilometres of alder, dykswâlen (wooden ramparts) and hundreds of pingos and pools. The area has unique flora and fauna. Biodiversity is high here. A short distance from Groningen, Leeuwarden, Dokkum and the Ydillian Wadden Islands. The area is very suitable for hiking, cycling, canoeing.

Renovated home where you can enjoy the setting in comfort. The kitchen-living room contains everything to cook/bake. The living room is furnished with comfortable sofa, TV, games and books. We are happy to advise on trips such as mudflats, day Ameland or day Dokkum(see picture).
