The 2-bedroom layout is just right for couples, families, or friends. Unwind in a hinoki cypress bath, enjoy views of the rice fields from the sunroom. We provide eco-friendly, additive-free amenities.

This house was designed mainly for foreigners.

The owner lives outside the prefecture and uses it as a vacation home. We cherish the extraordinary space by decorating with paintings and furnishings that give you a taste of Japanese culture. I will welcome you as a valued guest who can come to my private home, so face-to-face check-in and common sense conversation and interaction are required. Wifi is available. A parking lot is also provided. Transportation is not convenient in the mountainous area, so please go out by car if possible.

Private Hut along Clear Stream 20 mins from Center

Our guest house is located in Tosayama, in a natural mountainous area, about 20 mins' drive from the centre of Kochi City. You can jump into a clear river with 1 min's walk! The building is a 70-year-old house self-renovated by us, where you can feel the old local culture of Japan. We offer a variety of activities to experience the nature and culture of the Tosayama, such as visiting shrines known only to locals, trekking tours to deep forest. We're looking forward to seeing you!

Ecofriendly cottage - 35 min from Kochi Airport

- Simple one-story house surrounded by nature Ecologically built with local wood, "zero waste" and "plastic-free" in mind. - Large studio with a full bathroom (no separate bedroom) You lay out the Japanese-style futon in the main room. - Only children over 7 yrs old can stay. - There's a grand piano in the main room (feel free to play 9:00-20:00). - Simple breakfast (homemade bread & granola with coffee) will be provided (self-service / vegan OK upon request)

Ricefields, Rivers and Mountains

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also a unique cultural experience. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The first/ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with 2 tatami sleeping rooms. Your sleeping room has an air conditioner. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can shop for local foods and prepare it all in your own kitchen.

森の中のポツンと一軒家。宮大工さんがつくった数少ない立派な古民家で、山暮らしを楽しみませんか。ジブリのような森の道を進んだ先にある家では、BBQをしたり、焚火をしたり、五右衛門風呂を沸かしたり、山の中だからこそできる自然遊びを満喫できます。街灯がひとつもなく、夜は満天の星空がみられることもあります。季節ごとにみられる山の姿を全身で感じながら過ごすひと時は現代では忘れ去られた心安らぐ豊かな時間を思い出させてくれます。 立派な大黒柱を中心に、土壁や備え付け収納など昔ながらそのままの古民家ですが、1階は全面無垢の杉板となっており、新しさも感じさせます。水回りは新設のアイランドキッチンや大きな洗面ボウルが特徴的です。お風呂は薪、ガス兼用の五右衛門風呂で薪で炊くことも温水を出すこともできます。 家の外には人懐っこい看板猫の青助がいて、外にいるとすり寄ってきます。 石鎚登山ロープウェイまで車で15分程度の位置にあるため、登山にも行きやすい立地です。

【素泊まり】古民家一棟貸し[国の文化財]Oda Ninomiya・愛媛県内子町小田

二宮邸は昭和初期に建てられた木造古民家です。 Ninomiya Residence is an old wooden house built in the early Showa period. 当施設は旧道沿いの建物のため、夜は静かで虫の声が聞こえます。 裏庭側沿いには小田川が流れており、浅瀬も多いため川遊びも楽しめます。 ゆったりとした田舎暮らしをお楽しみください。 The accommodation doesn't face the highway, so it is very quiet and you can hear insects chirping at night. The Oda River runs along the backyard side, so you can enjoy playing in the river. Enjoy a relaxing country stay!!
