Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Newaygo County

This was exactly what my friends and I had in mind for a relaxing reunion. There’s tons to do on the property itself to have complete days at the Airbnb. Couldn’t ask for better hosts as well- so responsive and accommodating! We’ve already talked about going back!

Great accommodations on a beautiful, small lake. The house is very nice and has a great kitchen. The grill and deck and sunroom were our favorite aspects of this place. The neighbors are close by, so if you're looking for something very private, you might not want to stay here, but I do highly recommend it for those without privacy concerns. Megan was very quick to respond and accommodating of our last minute booking due to issues with our other lodging. This place has everything you need, including comfortable bedrooms with lots of beds for larger parties. There is a dock and details about how you can rent a pontoon on the lake. We just used the kayaks for our stay, and they were great. Had a lovely time, thank you, Megan!

Was clean,homey,and could sleep 6 people. Needed a place for 6 people for a pool tournament.

Absolutely stunning and beautiful home! As someone who travels a lot, this home is definitely one of the best places I've stayed at.

I originally rented just because it was 2mins from my family, but I was more than happy with my stay. it was Spotless, and the list of rules for the house were easily seen. (all of the rules were basic common decency that anyone would do in my opinion) The host is very responsive and polite. Overall, I will be renting again next year if the place is available and it's a 10/10 place.

Lake Hess was perfect for a weekend getaway. The cottage was cozy and had great space for yard games. Justin was a great and responsive host!

We had an amazing time. It was a very cozy place with lots to do that was both fun and relaxing in the house. The view is amazing and it was a plus on the cold rainy days to have a wood burning fireplace in the house. Hot tub worked perfectly. all other amenities as described. This is a great place to gather with family and friends for a fun weekend, or just rest and recharge. Definitely hoping to book again.

The cleanest, most modern “cabin in the woods” you could possibly ever stay in. Cozy and perfectly accommodated my family of 3. Mark and Amy had everything labeled and a very handy binder of information, including their minimal check-out instructions, as well as a list of places to explore and eat. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want a more outdoorsy stay.

Croton House is a wonderful, comfortable, relaxing place to stay. The deck over looking the lake is perfect. We had a great time in the lake using the provided kayaks. It is the perfect lake to kayak on if you you are a novice like me. We really enjoyed swimming in the lake, as well. I did not notice in the description that it is important to bring water shoes, I may have missed that. We were able to buy some in town but had we known, we would have brought them from home. Be sure to bring them if you plan to go in the lake, which I highly recommend (so refreshing). We loved staying here and would request to book it again if we ever find ourselves in the area again.

This place was Amazing! It accommodated all 14 of us, there’s plenty of things to do to with in the cabin and it’s surroundings. “The Land” felt like home & really wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We so enjoyed our weekend at the River Valley View Cabin! It was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway, so private and peaceful overlooking the beautiful river. The cabin was very clean, roomy yet cozy, and well supplied with everything we needed. We appreciated the multiple comfortable places provided to sit and relax: outside seating areas, the enclosed porch, and the homey living area inside. We loved hiking on the nearby Dragon Trail and enjoyed the fabulous fall colors on display throughout the area. Jackie was a great host, reaching out several times. We hope to return someday!

Michael’s place was the perfect weekend getaway! The home is even more beautiful than the photos, and the views made it feel like we were in the mountains. The property felt private and peaceful — we barely saw anyone, which was perfect for traveling with our dogs. The treehouse area across the street gave us plenty of space to play fetch daily. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook dinners each night, which we really appreciated. Fishing from the dock was decent — we caught lots of small perch, a smallmouth and largemouth bass, though my dad lost quite a few hooks due to snagging, so we recommend stronger line, I was good with a 14lb line. A rowboat for fishing could be a great future addition! The 185 steps from the lake are no joke but worth having both the incredible mountain-like views while still having lake access. Michael was kind, responsive, and flexible, making our stay stress-free. We’d absolutely come back!

This place is AMAZING. Looks exactly like the pictures, perfect little hideaway with a perfect view from the back balcony/porch. Amanda was super responsive and helpful, including answering a Friday night text about the alarm system when we had a question. The place feels so serene, private and peaceful but literally minutes from the main downtown area right down the road. We will definitely be staying again.

Nice, clean little cabin. We just needed somewhere to sleep for a night on our trip, and this worked perfect. Easy to find. Host is responsive.
