House holiday rentals in New Town

What a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days R&R or an extended holiday. We were a group of seven who had been travelling around Tassie, playing golf. We had two nights here for a lovely rest, and what a fabulous place to do just that. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. We really didn't need to leave the house as there was plenty to do there, either relaxing by the fire, playing pool or relaxing in the spa and pool. The house is perfect for a group of friends or a family reunion for a holiday or a few days catch up. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Jason for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Bowen was just a great host and very responsive. The home was wonderful with an amazing view, love sitting there and watching the ships. When we are in Hobert will be staying there again.

This is an outstanding property with a wonderful and responsive host. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The house is very private and well appointed, maintained and stocked with quality produce and supplies - we were also welcomed by a beautiful hamper, and warm service. The property itself has stunning views from almost every window. We enjoyed using the gym (located in an adjacent private building which can also be used as a study), pool and spa. We had a few things on our list to visit for the Huon Valley but were very content to stay at the house and enjoy all the amenities. We would most definitely return here when visiting Tasmania.

Great location for family or friends to get together. Literally walk out the door onto a beautiful beach. Plenty of outdoor amenities available incl swimming pool, tennis, basketball hoop, billiards, kayaks etc. Quiet and peaceful area, but close to airport and to Hobart so very convenient. Great communication from Julie in advance who also met us on arrival and showed us in. Thank you for a great stay.

We had an excellent few days with our family at Marina’s house. The house is simple with large rooms and lots of space indoor and out. The view is lovely and ever changing and the kids loved the ducks and native hens. An ideal place for a family gathering.

Chantelle was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. I had a lot of questions, both for myself and on behalf of the group. Chantelle was always quick to respond and happy to assist. Her communication was excellent, and she was flexible with our check-in times, which really helped accommodate our busy schedule. The house itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. It was so well-equipped, down to all the essentials, which made staying in really enjoyable and convenient. I’d definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Tassie.☺️

Nick and Georgi were exceptional hosts, responsive, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay. The house itself was a perfect space for our group of friends. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully equipped for a larger group, it offered everything we needed and more. From the stunning views to the comfortable communal areas with heated floors, every detail contributed to a truly memorable experience. The generous touch of fresh bread and wine on arrival made it feel extra special. The indoor pool and sauna were a standout feature and an absolute highlight of our winter getaway, everyone loved it. I honestly can’t recommend this home highly enough. A truly outstanding stay.

Kerry and Marcelo’s home was just like the photos — warm, beautifully decorated, and super comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home. Every time we needed something, we somehow found it already there, which made our stay feel so thoughtful and easy. Thank you both for creating such a lovely space — we’d love to come back one day!

a very great accomodation. it's very well furnished and the amenities are very nice. there were plenty of stuffs to use if u plan to cook there (which unfortunately we didnt do due to time constraints). there was even cooking oil and some rice (tho u need to buy more if u plan to cook for more than 1 person). my advice if u wanna cook is maybe u can check-in the house and see what is available in the kitchen first before u go grocery shopping. it's a very pleasant stay. thank you😁

We had a lovely stay at this cozy and clean Airbnb! The place was spotless and felt very homey, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s in a great location, close to shops and restaurants, which made it super convenient for our little family. One of the highlights for our son was the stairs, a cozy little space to read books, he absolutely loved them! We also really appreciated the thoughtful touch from Anna and Garth, who provided some children’s books. Our son is a keen reader, so that was a big hit and kept him happily entertained. Thank you for such a welcoming and family-friendly stay, we’d definitely love to come back again!

We had a lovely stay at Peter’s Airbnb during Dark Mofo. The place is very spacious, clean, private and the view is incredible!! I chose this airbnb because the listing and photos appealed to our needs. It certainly did not disappoint! It was cosy, clean, comfortable and most importantly it felt like a home away from home. Small touches like having a handful of kitchen items available were a godsend which cuts down on unnecessary purchases. The location was perfect! Close to everything but quiet enough to have privacy. Absolutely adored this accommodation 💖

This beautiful Hobart property was absolutely perfect for our group of 7. The views were absolutely stunning – waking up each morning to such a gorgeous outlook made the whole experience feel extra special. There was plenty of space for everyone to chill out and have their own downtime, with separate areas when needed. At the same time, the common space was perfect for hanging out together – we spent a lot of time relaxing there and enjoying each other’s company. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out late, which made a huge difference for our travel schedule. Even though the accommodation isn’t right in the city centre, we found it very easy and affordable to get taxis in and out of the city each day. It actually gave us the best of both worlds – a peaceful retreat with amazing views, and still convenient access to all Dark Mofo events and city highlights. Highly recommend this place to stay in Hobart – for any occasion!

We had a great stay at Brampton Cottage. It was perfect for we three friends travelling in a hire car. Very well appointed with everything you could need for a short stay, especially in the kitchen. Nice views of mt Wellington from the backyard and upstairs bathroom. Highly recommend.

The bush setting , the water views, the design and fit out are all top notch . Private and tranquil . We appreciated the expresso coffee machine ( and local beans in generous supply ) and other welcoming touches . Everything has been thought of in this immaculately presented house . Loved watching the light change as the sun went down . Thank you Jennifer and team .

Karen was a wonderful host for our girls trip of 7 people. The house was stunning, very spacious but also warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful views out over the river, location was very convenient for exploring Hobart and the Coal Valley and there was a supermarket nearby for supplies. Karen and Tony were super responsive in their communications and very flexible in allowing us early access. The perfect hosts. Would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic space, absolutely loved staying here and it felt just like home. Close to plenty of activities and dining, also being private and tucked away to feel comfortable at night. Will definitely recommend!

Beautiful house in a gorgeous location, if you’re an early riser and love watching sunrises, this is the perfect spot for you. The beach is very close by, and there are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity. I sent a few queries to the hosts during my stay, and they replied in record time, which was really appreciated. The house is located on a very steep hill on a corner block, which means nearly every car that goes past is flooring it right past your bedroom window, so if you’re a light sleeper, make sure you bring earplugs or a white noise machine to block out the excessive car noise.

Lovely place , suburban Sandy Bay location. Very clean and uncluttered. Heating worked well, TV very difficult to manage without instructions. Appreciate the milk in the fridge. Probably could do with some more doonas over winter, there was no option to run the fireplace. Probably should over colder months. Very clean, suits adults or teenagers, not little kids. Very clean bathrooms, great hot water. Dishwasher instructions required also, but dishwasher works well.

This stay had pros and cons. The bed was too soft, sinking in the middle, and one space heater lacked power. The fireplace was a challenge to use, as we didn't have enough experience to operate it effectively. We also couldn't find an axe to chop the firewood into smaller pieces too. Hot water was limited for our family of five's showers. On the bright side, the toilet floor had heating, and the toilet itself had heating lights, a nice touch. All the dishes were clean. The convenient location near Eastlands Mall (K-Mart, Big W, Coles, Woolworths, chemist) was excellent for amenities. The kids really enjoyed the tons of toys in the kids' room. There is also a really beautiful view of the Tasman Bridge at night from the balcony. It is also dark enough to see many many stars.
