Stylish apartment in the old Gulfhof

With a lot of attention to detail, this apartment was built in an old, listed Gulfhof. Here you will stay in the middle of nature very close to the East Frisia hiking trail. The old town to Leer is only 6 km away. On the terrace with a south-facing orientation and views of the graft and natural pastures, you can forget about everyday life and relax. The apartment has a bedroom with a very comfortable double bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m). In the living room with open kitchen there is a sleeping couch with a width of 1.40 m. A TV with DVD player is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, stove with oven,toaster, kettle and a Nespresso machine. If necessary, two bicycles (28 "men's and women's bike) are available free of charge for the time of stay by arrangement. For your own e-bikes, there is a storage/ charging option in a lockable barn.

We offer this special and comfortably furnished upper floor apartment, which was completely renovated in 2023. Ideal for two people, without children, without animals. The bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, hairdryer, shower and shampoo, and the kitchen even with a dishwasher. The infrared sauna offers pure relaxation. Within walking distance is a small forest with a pond, or you can hop on your bike / rental bike and discover the surroundings! Shopping is 1.5 km away.

Du wirst meine Unterkunft lieben wegen der Umgebung und der Nachbarschaft. Eine kleine Terrasse befindet sich neben der Eingangstür. Neben der Wohnung ist ein schöner Bootssteg. Meine Unterkunft ist gut für Paare, Alleinreisende, Abenteurer und Geschäftsreisende. Dein Elektrofahrzeug kann an der Wallbox (gegen Gebühr) aufgeladen werden.

The listed house was extensively renovated in 2020/21 with a lot of love. The tastefully furnished house has lost none of its charm and originality. Witnesses to its old age are the original parquet and plank floors in the living rooms and bedrooms and terrazzo floors in the kitchen. The house is very carefully furnished with beautiful softwood antiques. In sunshine, life takes place outside on the terrace in the enclosed garden.

My place is close to Papenburg (Meyerwerft) and Leer with its beautiful historic old town. Since negative reviews are always left regarding the location. The property is located BETWEEN Papenburg and Leer. Both are about 12 km away. Shopping is ample in the village. Nearby is the amusement park at Emsdeich, where you can swim in the summer. My place is great for couples and business travelers. Private entrance.

The apartment is part of a house, but is delimited and has its own entrance. It is located in the rear, quiet upper floor of the house. The apartment is accessible via a staircase that has no handrail!

We had such a wonderful stay! The apartment was easy to find, looked like the photos, and has a well equipped kitchen. It was nice and spacious and well suited for two couples and dog. Great communication from Andrea and Jörg. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking in the area!

The Old Painter‘s House, Ferienhaus am Wasser

We were a family of five adults and a five-month-old baby for a week in the old painter's house of Christin and Willi. We had a very nice time in the house and were able to enjoy the quiet garden directly on the water in good weather, especially in the first days, and watch the cows grazing on the other side of the water. But even with the bad weather in the second half of the week, we had it very cozy in the house in the spacious living room with fireplace. The location is wonderfully quiet for relaxing or taking walks along the dike. For our baby, Christin and Willi even provided us with a travel cot. The communication with the two was great, they were always helpful and with good tips (e.g. the trip to Groningen was very worthwhile). In the house everything was also very clean and maintained. All in all, the perfect accommodation for a family getaway. We will be happy to come back!
