“Tina is an amazing hostess! She had great recommendations and was always readily available to answer all our questions. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect. Her place is exactly as you see in the photos, bed was nice and comfy! Highly recommend you getting a vehicle, we walked to the nearest beach one day and it was about 30mins. Once we had a car rental, we were able to explore most of the island. For places to eat - I recommend Avery's, Dorans, Southwest Diner for all local fare. Make sure you try the Cracked Conch or Conch Fritters! Beaches - Coral Harbour is the nearest beach, it's usually deserted so its nice and relaxing. Love Beach is incredible, theres a bar on the beach Nirvana where we went almost daily, they made us feel like family. Shout out to the bartender Stacey! Jaws beach is also incredible, must see. Nassau is an amazing island, lots to do and see. But definitely try to get to another island - the beaches and water are unreal on Rose Island and Exuma was highly recommended but we never made it. Enjoy your stay at Tina's!!”
This spacious apartment is the second floor of a beautiful home located on prestigious Eastern Road. It features ocean views from every bedroom, private pool, coconut trees, tranquil gardens and grill. We're right across the street from the ocean (great snorkeling spot!). Grocery store, pharmacy, Wendy's, Dominos and liquor store are a 5 minute drive away. Located just 12 minutes from Paradise Island and 16 mins from downtown, our apartment is a GREAT paradise getaway!
“Called the Rose House, this historic home is actually painted sky blue. We rented the top floor of the home, which consisted of 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. All of the rooms have an ocean view! There is a TV in the living room, but we never turned it on! Sandra kindly provided water to start us off and we drank tap water on the island. I slept in the master bedroom, which had the best wifi reception but the least Air conditioning. The master bathroom gave two options for bathing: a shower or large tub. The bed was very comfortable. The property is large. The house comes with a parking space, which was very convenient. There are 2 sets of steps. The dogs were outside for much of our stay. I swam, and the pool water was refreshingly cold. I also crossed the street each morning to climb down to the sea and wade in. We did not have snorkel gear, but by standing waist deep, I could easily observe many types of fish. The beach was rockier than I had expected; not ideal for sunbathing. However, there is a beautiful public beach a 20 minute drive across to Paradise Island (cabbage beach). I rented a car and found driving a fun experience! Overall, I recommend Sandra’s home as a comfortable and welcoming place. She was quick to respond and accommodate and her property is charming. I would definitely stay here again and I wouldn’t hesitate to return with my family!”
Enjoy the a quiet , private studio with private bath in Nassau, Bahamas. Five minutes from the airport and less than 1k walking to great amenities and across the road from beautiful Old Fort Bay. Well appointed and comfortable. Away from crowded downtown area.
“As addition to a holiday in Miami we went 3 days to the Bahamas. We send Gillian a message before we flew to the Bahamas, that we would be earlier than the check in time, and she really went out of her way to make sure we got to enter the place when we arrived, this was great and very kind. The place is very close to the airport, not more than a 10 minute taxi drive. However, keep in mind the taxi's are expensive (we paid 27$ for les than 10 min) and it is difficult to go by public transport from the airport to the airbnb and vice versa. When we arrived at the airbnb, it was very easy to get in with the instructions Gillian gave us. We quickly went to the supermarket nearby (it's a 15 min walk, but note there are no sidewalks) and bought some garlic bread, soup, water and soda. The equipment like the oven and electric hot plate made it easy and possible to make some food at the place. When we came back from the supermarket we just had enough time to walk to the ocean on the private path and watch the sunset from the sea. It was amazing. First day we walked to Love beach, in about 20 minutes. It was a georgeous beach. You can find it when you see the enterance of Nirvana Beach Bar, it's a hill down and you see some gates, why it first looks like you can't access, but you can access it, and it is really worth it! On our second day we took a bus (they pass all the time along the place) to Nassau, it was easy and cheap (2,5$ per person). Gillian provided us with all the info we needed about sightseeings and public transport. We also took the bus back, but it drove back a little bit different, we stepped out at the roundabout and walked the last part. Be aware that the busses drive till about 6, so not in the evening. Last day we went snorkling to Ocean Atlas at the Clifton Herritage State Park, the largest underwater statue on earth. It was amazing. We went again with a bus, it is not on the route, but if you ask nicely they will drop you off there for a couple of dollars extra (still way cheaper than a taxi). All people who live there simply go out of their way to help you, the bus driver was worried how we needed to come back from Clifton, so he gave his number so we could call him if we wanted to go back. We called him and within 15 minuted we got on his bus again back. snorkling to the underwater statue is a real recommendation, it will cost you a bit over $20 a person to enter the park if you want to snorkel (other wise I think it is about $10), there is also a beach to chill. $20,- seemed like a lot, but for an excursion it is at least $100 a person. We are confident swimmers so we dicided to go by ourselved with our snorkling equipment, it is about 15-20 minute swim to the statue. In the evenings we could hang out in the courtyard which was so comfortable and cozy. A real addition to the place, it was just great. The cats visited us all the time, they were so sweet and cute. We could really see what an animal lover Gillian is. She doesn't only go out of our way to help her guests, but also to help and care for all different kind of animals, it really warmed our harts. It was a great and wonderfull experience, a real recommendation!”
