We are absolutely in love with this house! It’s the kind of place you never want to leave—and one you’ll yearn to return to. The warmth and care poured into this home are palpable, creating a welcoming, child-friendly atmosphere that instantly puts families at ease. The incredible playroom is a dream come true for kids, while the house itself is thoughtfully designed, immaculately clean, and brimming with charm. We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful stay—we’ll definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Excellent stay in a clean, well-equipped home We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One minor quibble: the coffee maker was tiny and could only brew two cups at a time, which was a bit inconvenient for our group. The location is fantastic—just about an hour’s drive to Yosemite National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring. The community was undergoing construction, and some roads were closed during our visit. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to enter and pay the $50 entrance fee, which was frustrating. It’s worth asking the host for an update on access or checking ahead before booking.

Jeff and Gina were great hosts. Responsive and friendly. Close to Yosemite. The kids loved the game room, beds were comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you’d need.

We had a great stay at this cabin! The space was cozy and clean, and the location was great—just a short distance from the lake and some really beautiful hikes. It was a peaceful and convenient spot to relax and enjoy nature.

We absolutely loved our time there. Very short drive to the snow. We loved Big Trees Calaveras park. Market and downtown Murphys were 1-3min drive. The house was spacious and worked great for us. My kids especially enjoyed the back patio. Highly recommended!!!

The place makes you feel right at home, it’s very cozy but not closed in. Very airy flow of the house with spot less bathrooms and bedrooms. Our granddaughters enjoyed the playground very much and the creek right across the street. The coffee pods was like the cherry on top, compared to the hotel accommodations and prices in the area, it was well worth it.

Has a great view and is very specious. Super relaxing and easy to find. The town is super close and there’s a lot to do

Everything was great except the living room TV didn’t work. The host was responsive to it and as helpful as they could be without actually coming to the house. TV wasn’t a huge deal to us so we decided to go without it. But was happy the host was willing to help!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful 4-bedroom home in Murphys! The house is spacious, modern, and incredibly well-equipped with all the amenities you could need. It was perfect for our two families with small children — plenty of room to spread out, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The location is ideal — quiet and peaceful, yet just a short, easy walk to downtown Murphys. The serene backyard was a lovely bonus, offering a relaxing space to unwind after exploring the area. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience. katie was the perfect host! If you're visiting Murphys, we highly recommend staying here!

The photos are already great but this place is better when you see it in person! Everything is clean inside the house. The bed was comfortable, and definitely walkable to Murphys downtown. Great location for a getaway if you want to go up the mountain but don’t like camping!

Elaine’s home was cute, cozy, and comfortable! The location is great walking distance to shops, restaurants, and wineries. We can’t wait to go back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Donna’s home. It was so beautiful and clean. Everything you may need is available and the beds were amazing! They were so comfortable and had VERY nice sheets and comforters. I even checked the brand name so I could purchase some for my own bed when I got back home 😊. Additionally, we enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Also, very short walking distance to downtown. We will definitely be back!!

This place was beautiful and well kept! There was so much space and each room had a bathroom. I loved that all of the light switches were labeled so we knew exactly what we were turning on/off. The place was located close to downtown, but there was so much to do at the house even if we didn’t want to leave! Thank you for a great time!

Loved our time Arnold. Really enjoyed the home, especially the hot tub. I loved that the back patio was completely enclosed so that my small dog could also wander around when we enjoyed the hot tub. Close to the super market and lovely hikes.

It's a super peaceful, clean, comfortable, and spacious place. If you want to disconnect from everyday chaos and find complete tranquility, I highly recommend this place. Hosts are very responsive and there to answer any of your questions. Calavera Caverns are a 3-minute drive from the place, Murphy's wine tasting room and restaurants are a 30-40 minute drive, and Calaveras Big Trees National Park is a 45-minute drive. We'll definitely come back!

Fore on four was the perfect location for our golf getaway! The house was really clean and had a great kitchen for meals. Would definitely stay here again!

Staying here at this mountaintop with the panoramic views were absolutely stunning Waking up to beautiful view and watching the sun set over the valley was pure magic. The peace and stillness made it feel like a retreat from the world. The home was clean, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay after long hikes. We loved sitting out in the beautiful patio where hot tub was our personal fav, soaking in the scenery, star gazing and fresh mountain air. Despite being remote, the directions were clear and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to disconnect from city chaos.

Just absolutely wonderful and exactly like the photos. A real sense of just being in a beautiful and beautifully designed space full of perfect touches. I stayed a month and was very sad to leave! Aria was a great host and go-between with the rather draconian guardians of the gated community (every delivery has to be individually called in and you need a weekly pass to drive through the gate). Being a mile from the lake was wonderful as was the drive up the mountain. And of course you are close to Yosemite. Could not recommend it more highly.

Where do I start. I'll start with.. the Schoolhouse was one of our favorite Airbnbs. It was home for six weeks and was the coziest Airbnb I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Serene and quiet with wildlife just outside the French doors in the bedroom through which natural light filled the room. The decor was warm and inviting. The photos don't do justice to the home. We had everything needed. The kitchen was spacious with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, plenty of cooking utensils, cookware and dinnerware. It has everything you need, whether it's a long or short-term stay. Lorna was kind and helped with anything needed. She was patient when our packages were left at her home and insisted she bring them, so I didn't have to walk uphill to her home. (Thank you!) We've traveled full time for 5 years. Normally, I'm excited for the next move, but this time, I did not want to leave the Schoolhouse. Thank you for the beautiful home and care received while there.

My wife and I loved our stay here!! The interior was beautifully decorated and filled with high end items from the comforters and pillows to the kitchen knives and cookware. It made our stay feel luxurious up in the mountains. Then, the whole reason we chose this cabin, the wood-fired hot tub was an absolute delight and has ruined all other hot tubs for us. Nothing like hearing the fire crackling as it heats up the water for you. We loved the abundance of towels, the old CRT tv upstairs (we brought our N64), and the overall cozy feel of the cabin. There are some houses nearby, but most are hidden from view and you still feel very secluded. Well worth the 8hr trip for this beautiful place.
