Mount Tamborine is a stunning environment, on top of the range 40 minutes drive from the Gold Coast. At 535m above sea level, the red volcanic soil and a good rainfall ensures a lush environment thrives that is home to a wide range of bird life. The mountain is also home to several vineyards and breweries, a distillery, many many restaurants and cafes, a host of curiosity shops and two farmer and craft markets each month. The mountain caters for those who love nature with many bush walking tracks. It is also the gateway to O’Reillys, Lamington and Binna Burra national parks. Sunset on Handglider Hill over looking Canunga with a glass of wine in hand is not to be missed. This architect-designed house is set on a 1.5-acre property near Mount Tamborine. The area's red volcanic soil and good rainfall ensure a lush environment for a wide range of birds. The area is also home to vineyards, breweries, and many restaurants.

Outside a few steps down is a characterful private ensuite, fire pit with seating, bird baths, water feature in lovely lush surrounds . Beautiful views of mountains, countryside , birds and wildlife.

This uniquely built barn situated in the Gold Coast hinterland is within walking distance to national parks. Made from recycled wharf timber, the barn is set on an 18 acre farm beset by green lawns. A king bed with ensuite, seperate shower & bath make up the loft bedroom. Downstairs features a second bathroom / laundry, fire place, lounge, study, sofa bed & self inflating bed (linen not included), dining & fully equipped kitchen before walking onto a large deck. The Family unit can accommodate 2 x couples and 4 singles, the unit has kitchenette & dining, lounge and bathroom. Guests share the deck, BBQ and pool if there are other guests staying. The bathroom has a large claw foot bath/hand held shower head. There is no separate shower. Living on a farm - sometimes it's dusty and there's spiderwebs, flies and mosquitoes be prepared for country living.

A truly stunning lakehouse nestled in the Gold Coast hinterlands — surrounded by lush rainforest, waterfalls, and scenic hiking trails. John and Cathy have taken great care to ensure this will easily be one of the best Airbnbs's you have ever stayed at (the photos do not do it justice). I was particularly impressed with the high-end appliances, fresh Sheridan linens, and 12-speaker indoor/outdoor smart surround sound system. The kitchenette was impressively functional and thoughtfully stocked with a great selection of teas and coffees. There was also an excellent range of card/board games provided — perfect for a cozy night in. A peaceful, luxurious retreat in a wonderful location.
