Good place, great host, felt right at home and the local recommendations were helpful

I had an incredible experience at Shiro’s place. The serene atmosphere surrounded by nature made it perfect to relax and unwind.The sounds of birds chirping was beautiful adding tranquility to the space. Shiro was exceptionally friendly and welcoming making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The wine she gifted us was so good! If you are looking for a quiet relaxing environment and a great host this is the place to be.

This place is more than amazing! Description is good but not enough to describe all the positives sides of this stay. The people at this lodge made us feel more than welcome,extremely helpful, very friendly. The host advices us the contacts of drivers that were super helpful for us. Also the best experience we had is the giraffe Twiggy which lives close by and you can feed him, touch him and take a picture to save the memory. The animals live freely in a beautiful surroundings. The place is very peaceful, had tasty food and we just regret we couldn’t stay longer. Really one of the best places in Kenya we have visited so far 💜 Thank you so much for being incredible!

Victoria and her Dad welcomed us warmly. Staying with them was like visiting old friends. We had such a lovely time with them. And they laid on a fantastic evening meal and breakfast. The place was clean and comfortable. Victoria and Papa went out of their way to welcome us into their home and make sure everything was just right for us. This is a great border stop. We also took the opportunity to visit Amboselli NP from there. The park is beautiful. The roads in and out need a health warning! 😅

A great place to stay. Getting there was quite a distance from the tarmac but the host was kind enough to send us a rider to guide us to the place. A 4wd is highly recommended with good clearance because the car we used had quite some challenges with the underside being scratched on the way there...we were even lucky it hadn't rained that much but its an all weather road. The place itself is very very peaceful, fully off grid. A little pool to coom you off with a sauna adjacent to it. Only challenge were the bees, beatles, wasps and flies....but thats expected being next to the wild. An indoor outdoor experience Will definately be what you get in this place. The hosts were very very helpful especially John.

The place was easy to find and accessible. The house is well maintained and has beautiful natural surroundings including mountain views. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed not only the big space and bedrooms that the house had but also the quite peaceful atmosphere that the house provided.

This was one of those places that offered serene vibes with impeccable services. I would definately go back again and again.

If you've never travelled to this part of the world and you come with high expectations, you may be disappointed. The road getting to the place is very rough and not for any vehicle that is low to the ground. There are spiders, bees, mosquitoes etc. But if you are familiar with the area you'll understand why I gave this place 5 stars. The home was comfortable, with views of the mountains nearby. It was a bit of an oasis in a busy border town. The host and staff were also very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around both inside and in the courtyard. If I ever return to the area I would definitely stay there again.
