Peaceful stay for a week. Beautiful elevated location with panoramic views. Rocabella restaurant at the bottom of the track was great if you dont feel like venturing out far, with a varied menu from light bites to main dishes with burgers, steaks and fish.. My advice would would be to grab some basic groceries from a supermarket prior to going up to the house i.e coffee, bread eggs , drinks etc. I travelled with my ederly mother and the accomodation was suitable for our needs as she is unable to manage steps. There is one twin room downstairs with a bathroom and walk in shower which is next to the kitchen , lounge and outside patio so easy access for her with limited mobility. its would not be suitable for a wheelchair however. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with doors opening onto a patio with table and chairs, perfect for your morning coffee to relish the sun rise and sunsets, and also affording privacy if travelling with others in your group. I throughly enjoyed my stay. 😊

A good house also for a longer stay. From the village you can reach Cordoba in 20 minutes; Seville, Granada, etc. are about the same distance (just under 2 hours). The house is cozy, especially for a larger group, several lounges. The pool was cleaned and refilled daily and Enrique was very kind and ready for individual requests more towels, delayed departure).

We had a great stay at this villa. The villa was clean, the beds were comfy, the pool was great and the views were stunning! it was approximately 20 mins walk to La Joya and 35 mins to Hotel Fuente del Sol, so was easy to get around as well.

Simply put, we spent a few days in the paradise. The accommodation is an ideal place in the middle of nature to disconnect, but very close to the City. Totally recommended. Gregorio a super host.

We were a family of three generations with 4 children, 8 and under. We all had a wonderful, relaxing time. The large, spectacular pool was ideal for adults and children and the small shallow area allowed the youngest children to play safely. The veranda provided welcome shade for breakfast and lunch and a magical setting to dine, overlooking the illuminated pool and garden on balmy evenings. The house was spacious and well equipped, including a large barbecue in the garden, and the air-conditioning was effective. Ana was welcoming and responded quickly to any requests. Temperatures reached the high 30s most days, but we avoided the mid afternoon heat and took full advantage of the warm evenings. Castro del Rio is very different from the coastal tourist hotspots but has several restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and a picturesque centre around the castle. Cordoba and large supermarkets are a short drive away. We would love to return!

incredible stay, very quiet, very nice neighbors, a beautiful castle, the residential area is wonderful, the house is great and the views are unparalleled!! absolutely with all the amenities, everything you need in the kitchen and even more! Communication was amazing, he was always available and the directions were also very accurate. We are very grateful for absolutely everything.

Quiet place, with plenty of privacy and very easy to park. Plenty of amenities for those who want to walk around but also enjoy the space. Comfortable place and even with children you can have a good time. The house heats up easily, but with the air conditioning this is easily solved. Friendly and responsive hosts. I recommend it for those who like peace and comfort.

Everything was perfect. The house is impressive and well equipped. Rocio was always available when we needed anything. We recommend the place 100% and would certainly go back. Thank you very much for everything Rocio.

Very cozy stay. In the middle of nature to disconnect from everything. Close to Antequera and with a spectacular setting. Antonio, the host, is charming and very attentive. The house is very clean and with all the amenities. We had a very good weekend. Totally recommended. We will be back.

Comfortable house in a beautiful spot very private and spotlessly clean. Good base for exploring and walking. Was the wrong time of year for us to use the pool but the grounds and outside space were really nice too. Only thing would be to have information in the house about how everything worked, what there was to do in the area where to put the rubbish, house rules etc. Overall a great stay.

Wonderful but too short stay in this lovely house, carefully prepared by David with the help of his mom Aurora. In the middle of nature, quiet, surrounded by olive trees and flowers: perfect for relaxing! We were with our 3 toddlers who also really enjoyed it.

Rafael and his wife are very welcoming and smiling, always available if needed. This stay was beautiful! Better than in the photos, we expected it to be pretty but we were left speechless by the quiet accommodation and the beautiful view that was offered to us. no regrets about the place, no regrets about the price. Everything was perfect! Thanks again to the hosts.

Jesus' house is a pretty house full of history, very nice and very well maintained. We had a wonderful peaceful and secluded stay in the middle of the olive groves. Please note that it is necessary to have a vehicle to get around or run errands. Our stay went wonderfully and Jesus was very available and helpful. Only small downside, the pool was not usable because it was closed for winter. It will be best to inquire with the host to make sure the pool is usable. But there are many options for swimming in the area. I recommend this house for a disconnection stay in Andalusia.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilke’s place. The photos do not do the place justice. There is a beautiful view from the balcony. Family friendly place that strikes a good balance between activities for the children and nice surroundings for the adults. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. We were there for a family gathering - we were 6 adults and 5 children and were really comfortable. The house is super well equipped and there is nothing lacking. Host is responsive and communication is very good. The instructions were very clear. The check-out was flexible and we were able to stay until after the babies' nap. We would highly recommend this listing. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay there longer!

Our stay in this beautiful house was simply perfect! The stylish and lovingly thought-out furnishings impressed us from the very first moment. Every room exudes a pleasant atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The many sunny spots around the house and the pool are particularly impressive - whether in the morning or late afternoon, there is always an idyllic place to relax in the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet. The surrounding area is just as dreamlike and we loved to explore El Torcál. All in all, it was an absolute oasis of well-being that we were reluctant to leave. A special THANK YOU to Lizzy, who lookes after the house and was always there to answer our questions. She knows the area, the people and even the animals in the area very well. So again- thank you for your warm hospitality - we will definitely be back!

Kim's place has a superb view on the Sierra Nevada, a highlight during our family trip. It offers a cosy, isolated stay in "real" Spain, with easy access to Granada. The house has everything you need. (We had some epic moments with our son on the bench press with a view on the mountains. ) We were not able to really dive deep into the pool. This early in the year in April 2025, the weather was exceptionally cool, but, the pool was available and fully functional! When the sun and the heat did come through, the sun deck and sunbathing chairs did give us a relaxing time in this great private and beautiful environment. The views are something nobody in our family will ever forget. And, I had to dip my toes into the water anyway, to cool down during the warmer weather. Nicolas and Kim are very responsive and proactive, and catered to our every need. We appreciate that a lot. Their recommendations on Alcala la Real and Priego de Cordoba were excellent.

The Villa is beautiful, the hosts could not have been more helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The property is down a secluded track through 100’s of mature olive trees which gives you a very peaceful break. The photos in the listing are a true reflection of the house and everything from the pool & gardens to the layout inside give you a feeling of class! The decorations inside and out are so cleverly thought out, around the pool is very clean, there are several places to sit and enjoy the surroundings in shade or sun, including a raised turret which gives a better view of all the surrounding area. The house is very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The owners were very helpful recommending things to do and places to eat. We would have happily stayed longer and will hopefully return, thank you,
