Located in the Sasso Barisano, the San Biagio Suite is completely carved out of the tuff rock and offers the unique and magical experience of sleeping in the Sassi of Matera. The partition walls are made of frosted glass, but with a touch you can make them transparent so you can appreciate the environment in its evocative entirety. In the Sasso, you can admire the fossil shells that emerge from the tuff, take a shower inside the cave and touch the walls that emerged from the sea a million years ago.

This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

We felt at home at Filomena's. A lovely little house with everything we needed. My daughter loved her loft bedroom. It's a home that transmits love and memories. Clean and match the description. Filomena as a host is impeccable, polite, affectionate, available and always ready to recommend. Montescaglioso was a pleasant surprise.

after 10 years on AIRBNB this is the best place I have been! Everything was wonderful, all is brand new and with nice design. There were a lot of things for the breakfast and even more, in the bathroom too. The bed and pillow are very good. Bruna was very nice and welcome us gently with flexibility. Parking around the place is easy and free in the vicinity. To summarize, perfect for us and for everybody I guess!

Thank you for hosting us, and for the parking tips in Matera. Breakfasts are excellent and vary every day. Philomène is a thoughtful host with whom we enjoyed talking. We were able to buy olive oil from their production. We really enjoyed staying at Philomena's.

We stayed in Piermichele's apartment for 3 nights and we had a very good time. The mother, Mrs. Teresa, welcomed us with great kindness. The apartment is perfect for medium to short stays, there is everything, it is practically new and is in a perfect location to tour the village. A stone's throw from the central square. We'll definitely be back and recommend it!

Anna's accommodation is a dream. The comfortable beds, the furniture and the atmosphere itself are beautiful. It has that balcony that is a privileged box of what one is going to see in Matera. Tourists literally take their panoramic photos from the little street in front of the house. It's fully equipped and everything works great. Anna as a host is unbeatable, I never thought the host could be so important. My family had a lot of problems that had nothing to do with Anna or Matera, and she never stopped being helpful, kind, close, and empathetic. I am infinitely grateful. She saved my trip. I highly recommend her

We loved the Trullo, very authentic, peaceful and comfortable! The pool was fantastic, also with a barbecue area, outside seating and a vegetable garden. The place is in the countryside with the sound of cows and harvesters, and you definitely need a car to get around as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Unfortunately we discovered with surprise that we couldn’t hire a car as we didn’t have an international drivers licence (apparently mandatory in Italy), but our hosts went the extra mile to find a solution, organising a driver for us to the surrounding areas and towns. Don’t miss the opportunity to have traditional dishes prepared by Mery and take home preserves and products made by her. It was a short but sweet stay. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have a typical Puglian experience !
