Family-friendly holiday rentals in Montecrestese

We were a group of 9 friends, three men and six women between 35 and 60 years old, on our first experience of living together and a short vacation in an apartment. We had a wonderful time. The expectations of the accommodation were fully met. The hospitality and helpfulness of the host Pierre and his father were exquisite. What can I say... an experience that we will gladly repeat... maybe in winter so we can enjoy a different landscape and have the opportunity to appreciate the services in the accommodation even more. Thank you for everything.

If you are thinking of staying here, do it! This is an amazing home and somehow even better in person. It’s very close to the train station (we walked it with a baby and luggage and had no issue. No steep incline and mostly paved). Jacuzzi spa, sauna and laundry in the basement. Tucked away on a quiet street but right in the middle of town (next to the oldest hotel in zermatt). Marc was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. This spot is more of a 5 star hotel with the extra space and private amenities. We would come back in a heartbeat. Beyond impressed. There’s a reason why the reviews are all glowing.

this is a hit for a reason. the chalet is exactly how a chalet should be: a big shared living space with a wonderful panomaric view of the surroundings combined with cosy cocoony bedrooms with fantastic bedding and a great bathroom. top this up with an outdoor jacuzzi which works like a charm thank you Fabrice for trusting us with your home!

This family stay went extremely well; we enjoyed Luca's accommodation, which perfectly matched the description. The charm asset: the spa and the jacuzzi with a breathtaking view of the lake 😍 A big thank you to the co-hosts Andrea and Carla for their kindness and responsiveness in the exchanges before, during and after our stay. I would recommend it in a second!

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

A beautiful apartment located in a central location for all outdoor lovers! We hiked nearly every day and used the bus system. It was so convenient. Just a beautiful location and beautiful home to stay in. Thank you !!! ☺️

This is a large Airbnb, which is fairly close to the train station in Zermatt, and the host was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The Airbnb is situated on the side of a large hill, which faces the Matterhorn. We had a beautiful view of the mountain every single day, and the dual lifts make it easy and convenient to get from town to the Airbnb. The only downside -- and it really wasn't much of a problem -- is that the Airbnb is located near the edge of town, and so it is about a 10 to 15-minute walk to the center of Zermatt where most of the restaurants are located. Regardless, if you have a large group, this makes for a good option. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The home was very welcoming, clean, and beautifully rustic. The house is in a quiet location with a lovely view of the lake, and the directions we were given allowed to get there with no problem. Also, we were greeted by fresh eggs, juice, sweets, sparkling wine and other gifts at the place, which is very nice and commendable. Any recommendations for this place if you want a quiet and enjoyable vacation, we felt right at home.

We were very warmly welcomed and super instructed. A wonderful place to unwind, right from the house you can hike wonderfully. The view on the lake is magnificent, for us with two dogs the location was perfect, everything easily accessible and yet completely relaxed. The equipment is great, from hot water bottle to lemon press, everything is available. We enjoyed the stay to the fullest, but unfortunately a week was much too short. 😁 Everything was tiptop!

Roberta’s home is AMAZING! It’s spacious, in a great location, and has the best view especially for sunset. We loved being right at the edge of city center and a quieter space to relax while being no more than 10 min walk to the furthest restaurant. Don’t forget to look at Roberta’s beautiful paintings around the house and stop at her shop down the road! We’ll certainly stay here again.

It was a very nice stay. We liked the location, the view of the lake and the beautiful pool very much. Only the parking spaces are a bit too small. Many thanks to Alberto, who is an excellent host.

It was fantastic to stay right on the lake with a private patio. We cooked dinner one night and walked to a restaurant the other night of our stay. Beautiful views. Swans visited the water below the patio. I enjoyed the layout with high ceiling and bed on the second floor. The air conditioning worked well - which was great after the journey to the lake on a hot day. We also made pasta in Lierna - with Annamaria, and went swimming in the lake. Great experience staying in Bellano.

We spent 10 days in the beautiful apartment, which left nothing to be desired. The view is fantastic, the location is quiet and idyllic. You could buy the essentials in a few minutes in a small nearby shop. We highly recommend the place. If you're looking for a break, you'll find it there.

We spent 4 nights in an absolutely ideal place to rest. The setting is very quiet, with a magnificent view of the lake, perfect for disconnecting. We had an accommodation with an outdoor kitchen, which was really nice to fully enjoy the environment. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The place is also perfectly suited for a stay with a small child: there is a sandbox, a swing, some toys on site, a high chair, a baby bed... even board games for family evenings. The owners are lovely, with lots of little touches that make the difference: on our arrival, fresh fruits, yogurts, beers... And for those who like their peace, don't worry, we hardly saw them The only small point of improvement in my opinion would be the addition of a small pool, it would really be the icing on the cake. But otherwise, everything was great, a real little corner of paradise

We spent a wonderful 4 days in the house. The location is awesome and the private beach is simply fantastic. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. The house is clean and the garden with the beautiful view is awesome. We were 2 adults with 2 dogs and for us it was perfect. The dogs cannot enter the water from the private beach (water is only accessible via 2 ladders) but 10m from the house they can easily swim. The place is great for bathing with the dogs. The spiral staircase was also not feasible for our (medium-sized) dogs, but they slept upstairs in the living room without any problems and we slept downstairs in the bedroom. The house is equipped with everything you need and the recycling system is perfectly prepared by the host. Everything was very clean upon our arrival. We enjoyed our vacation here very much and will definitely come back.

There were four of us in Eva's apartment and we had a great stay! The apartment was very clean, well equipped and cozy – ideal for our short trip. The coffee machine with capsules was particularly practical, perfect for starting the day. Eva was very friendly and helpful. She gave us great tips for the area and was always available for questions. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time. Clear recommendation!

Absolutely LOVED staying at Anna's apartment! We adored Argegno - a lovely historic town that was much quieter than surrounding towns. Anna's apartment was spacious and the terrace and views were breathtaking. Anna was a wonderful host who was very quick to communicate. We would definitely stay again.

Best way to describe this location is STUNNING! The views are breath taking - more beautiful in person than the photos! We loved our stay - hard to beat having morning coffee & evening wine surrounded by such beauty! The night view when the lights appear is as beautiful as the day view! A car was necessary but well worth it. David was a very responsive and helpful host & we would definitely stay again if we have that opportunity!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was spotless, the view was breathtaking, and somehow, everything was even better than the photos. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was our host, Christian. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond carrying our bags, getting us reservations at the best restaurants, and even arranging transportation. One of the restaurants even surprised me with a birthday candle! Christian had clearly gone the extra mile to make it special. Every detail was thoughtful, every need anticipated. Between the service, the location, and the care we were shown, this stay exceeded every expectation. Absolutely worth it.

Amazing place in Lake como. A little ways away from the more popular towns but a very charming and quiet and peaceful place to relax and enjoy the amazing view and infinity pool view which was incredible. I would definitely stay again.

We’ve had a fantastic stay at this apartment!. The view was phenomenal!!!. The apartment itself was perfect for our group, plenty of space and 3 balconies where we could admire the views of the lake. The apartment is in such a perfect position and location. It is definitely THE BEST view of the lake. We did have a car and found this useful but it’s only a 20-25 min walk (uphill) and in my opinion it wasn’t too bad. Varenna was lovely, the scenery absolutely stunning and it’s been an amazing trip!. The hosts were great and had great communication. Thanks again for a great stay! We would recommend!

4 nights didn’t feel enough and we left with such a heavy heart. Laura’s place is breathtaking and pictures don’t do it any justice. We were so sad to leave the tranquil and peaceful villa. I’ve never stayed anywhere like this and look forward to going back.

Perfect place for our group of 2 couples. One bedroom large and the other small but had a bathroom each. Air conditioning was welcome as it was warmer than we were expecting. Very small, one person kitchen that had everything we needed. Amazing dining room in the tower and very special balcony where we had dinner each evening. A bonus for an airbnb was the included buffet breakfast in the hotel.

Beautiful surroundings and well-worth the walk into town (there’s a very easy/safe path from this property into town - just expect to get some good exercise walking back up).
