Watch the surrounding wildlife by the log burner or gather by the fire pit. Head ito Exmoor or Dartmoor & enjoy the many walks/bike rides; surf or explore the beaches. Perfectly located just off the A30 in the heart of Devon we are an ideal place to stop and explore. Situated on the edge of Dartmoor with easy reach to local beaches, cycle paths or exploring deep gorges. There's plenty to see and do. Return back and relax over a BBQ in the summer garden. Interact with the chickens, ducks and geese, collect eggs or snuggle down under a cosy cover during a winters evening. We believe it is great value for money, hosting up to 6 people + food for less than £87.

You’ll love my place because of the privacy of having your own detached accommodation set in some of the most picturesque countryside in Devon. There is a village pub (no food served). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets).

The Barn, West Ford Farm

The Barn is part of an historic farmstead. It was built from cob and stone in the 18th century and sits in a peaceful valley, a lovely place to get away from it all and enjoy the glorious Devon country side. It is on the edge of Dartmoor and next to the Two Moors Way. The pretty village of Drewsteignton is a couple of miles away with it's pub The Drewe Arms. The National Trust's Castle Drogo is half a mile beyond that. The Drogo Estate has beautiful walks along the River Teign

An idyllic cob and thatch cottage with its own 1-acre meadow and real-ale micro brewery onsite. Meadow Cottage is a private self-contained wing at Westacott Barton, a medieval open hall house (listed Grade II* with Historic England), dating back over 600 years and today set within 22 acres of stunning countryside. Perfectly located right in the centre of Devon near the small town of North Tawton. Stunning beaches are within a 1 hour drive. Access onto Dartmoor is nearby.

Our beautiful barrel top wagon is set in it's own private woodland glade with ample parking. It is light, airy and comfortable, perfect for a quiet escape with wildlife on the doorstep. It is eco friendly with a compost loo, reed bed water filtration system and cosy wood burner. Good for one couple or single person. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is no TV or internet and the phone signal is sporadic. (Visitors are welcome to use host's landline in an emergency).
