Beautiful house in a beautiful town. Peaceful and very comfortable historic building that has been sensitively updated with modern touches. Practical and unfussy with an eclectic mix of contemporary and vintage furniture. Culemborg is charming, and the location of Robert’s house is perfect for meandering into the town centre from, with easy access to historic sights, local attractions and good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Utrecht is a short train journey away too, and we found Culemborg generally a good hub to explore the region from. We were sorry to leave!

Great hosts and such a beautiful setting. We loved that there were animals and things for the kids to play with, the treehouse was a huge hit with the kids. The hosts were very friendly and were very laid back with our 3 boys, very friendly dogs the kids loved playing with in one of the grassy areas. The place was pleasantly secluded, we could sit out alone and have a lovely mealtimes overlooking fields with views of the village in the distance.

What a beautiful and inviting lake home very close to Gouda and all local transportation. It was fast travel to Rotterdam and only an hour from Amsterdam / both were easy access through the local train station Gouda Gowervelle. We enjoyed all the running and biking paths along the lake and canals. Shopping and sightseeing in Gouda was fun as well! (Enjoyed the cheese museum which is perfect for kids of all ages. ) The lake house was a perfect setting, neighbors are friendly and quiet and the home is spacious enough for 4 or small families and it’s simply beautiful . Enjoyed!! Great hosts and very responsive! Highly recommend.

Marja's place is magical! surrounded by water, farms and fields, perfect for nature lovers. We loved it: Take walks with our three kids with the canoes on loan from Marja and fishing right in front of the house. The proximity to Delft, a city for which we had a real favorite , we really recommend renting bikes and making the bike paths around the city to discover the region . The house looks directly onto a bike path but we didn't mind. The view of the water is so beautiful and offers amazing sunsets. Need to Know: The house is small but sufficient for 5, however you should know that there is only one toilet located directly in the bathroom. The boiler placed behind the wall of the master bedroom can make noise at night, on Marja's advice we turned off the heating at night and this guarantees you peaceful nights. We will be back!!

Nice, atmospheric, super clean and inviting. The hosts were very welcoming and super helpfull. We love the fresh strawberries from their garden. We love the heated floors. The area is great for bicycle riding, to enjoy pastures, castles and windmills. Also there is the opportunity for buying fresh cherries, jam and eggs.

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was right on top of a metro station, was clean and well appointed, had a fantastic view, and Nienke was communicative and friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little apartment in a very central location of Gouda. A lot is quickly accessible on foot. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for daily needs, even a washing machine is available. The only negative point is the expensive parking nearby, but Tim was also there to help us find alternatives! All in all a great stay.

A beautiful cottage directly on the lake with its own jetty. The apartment is well equipped in all rooms. Especially in the kitchen we were able to let off steam with the cooking well. Also, you can relax in a hammock during the day and end the day with a campfire. Gouda is 10 min away by bike and worth a visit. Peter was the perfect host and gave great tips. We agreed, I would be happy to come back again next year.

Very quiet accommodation directly on the Waal where you can also endure it at 32 degrees. The host is totally friendly and communication was quick and uncomplicated. We will be happy to come back!

The apartment is very cozy, the living and dining area spacious and well equipped. The veranda and the garden are beautiful. We were within walking distance of everything there is to see in Rotterdam... that was very convenient. Manfred and Manon were very flexible regarding the check-in time, responded super quickly and were always easily accessible, friendly and helpful when we couldn't cope with the TV. The only small downside is the two bedrooms in the basement... they have real windows, they are also dry, but a little dark... But there is an additional bathroom downstairs with toilet, which was good. Overall, I can only recommend the accommodation and would come back anytime.

We had a great short stay at Linda's place - it was all exactly as described and we felt incredibly comfortable! 😊 One point to improve: Somewhat more flexible checkout times, although of course we know this has organizational reasons.

Our stay in Rotterdam was excellent! Wouter was a charming and thoughtful host—very responsive and gave us great recommendations for things to do in the neighborhood. The house is both typically Dutch and modern; we felt right at home. The neighbourhood is quite and near a nice lake and metro, tram. Highly recommended!

We cannot say enough about Aan de Snel. It is idyllic and like nothing we have ever experienced in the US. The home is pristine with everything a family needs. The decor is tasteful and cozy. The outdoor area is wonderful for watching the horses and bunnies. We really loved taking the bikes into the village, the fort, and to the lake. We could not get over the warmth and kindness of not only our hosts, but the Dutch in general. The restaurant in town is excellent (went twice). The location allowed us to visit a great deal of the Netherlands, including Gouda, Castel de Haar, Muiderslot, Amersfoort. At the hosts, suggestion, we took the train into Utrecht which was super easy! We will come back to NL and visit all the things we missed. This home is an absolute gem!!! Thank you for having us.

Hans has a beautiful boat. We were pleased with his authenticity and the atmosphere he created. Real and not slippery!
