Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mevagissey

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

We had a lovely time away. Alison and Craig are amazing hosts, very helpful, we appreciated all the recommendations. They make sure everything is up to your standards and want you to feel at home, which we really did. This beautiful place has all the facilities you need. The view is breathtaking and the bbq is a perfect touch. We enjoyed drinks at the local pub with the view of the beach, the beach is lovely and peaceful. The food and cocktails at the local restaurant are also amazing!

A really nice place to stay, very clean, peaceful and walkable for Mevagissey. The return walk up the hill isn't for the faint- hearted but great fun if you want to get fit!

Superb house with everything you could possibly need for a week or more. Plenty of space for our group of 4. Clean, tidy and easy to access onsite parking. It is only a few minutes’ walk into the picture postcard village/harbour of Mevagissey, but be warned the walk up to the house from the main road is fairly long and very steep. The main village car park is opposite the drive up to the house so you don’t need to walk! We would be happy to stay here again. Thoroughly recommended.

The place was spotless and lovely to stay in, it is just up from the beach with incredibly scenic walking routes basically at the doorstep.

A fantastic few days in such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The lodge is great and has everything you need and more. Its location is great to benefit from the quiet surroundings to be able to fully switch off but also is a short drive from some delicious food spots, beautiful beaches and great rural walks. Absolutely loved our time here and we hope to return in the future.

Barbara's house is wonderful. It has a stunning view over Mawgan Porth beach and you can walk down to the beach via the dunes. Sitting on the balcony in the evening enjoying the view is a treat! The house itself is lovely - compact but it has everything you need. Barbara is a very responsive and helpful host. I would very happily stay again!

The Lodge is absolutely lovely. It had everything I needed in it. Mark is friendly and approachable. He left breakfast bits, shower gel and shampoo in The Lodge. Would happily stay again.

We loved our stay at The Potager for my partners birthday, the accommodation itself is very peaceful, cosy and comfortable. The bed is exceptionally comfy! Jillian left some fresh bread, butter, milk and homemade marmalade which was delicious! A homemade birthday cake was also there on our arrival which we had not expected but, was really appreciated and enjoyed. Jillian gave us some great local food recommendations (the hidden hit and the standard inn, both of which were excellent) and even a money off code for The Lost Gardens of Heligan which I would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back in the future, thank you!

Our second time staying with Siobhan, it’s a really lovely place, modern, clean, peaceful, all amenities and a great location being close to the beach and the Charlestown. Siobhan is a great host. Highly recommend.

The accommodation was really nice and in a great location, easy to get around, and was perfect for what we needed, Jo was a lovely host and gave us many recommendations on where to eat and visit. We had a fantastic time!

From start to finish our stay was absolutely amazing. The view is every bit as good as the pictures. We were there in June and the sun didn’t set until 9.30pm, drinks on the patio were a nightly thing while we watched the tide come in as the sun went down. The apartment is pretty much at the top of a reasonably steep hill, but even with my knee problems I managed to go up 2 or 3 times a day. As you walk up the hill past the Seiners Arms (great pub, good food with beautiful patio). you can see Perranporth Beach in its entirety. Absolutely stunning. The town has everything you need like a Co-Op, Launderette, pubs, restaurant, beach / surf wear shops. Things do shut down earlier than we expected (around 9pm) but it was June so not peak season yet. The apartment is spacious, you come in through the back door into a large kitchen with all the appliances etc that you’d need. 2 bedrooms, a large lounge with TV. I thoroughly recommend this place. Hannah was an exceptional host too.

We had a wonderful weeks stay for our honeymoon in this lovely and peaceful place that felt just like being at home. Cara was fantastic and really helpful and communicative - completely understanding and accommodating when we found out we’d be bringing our newborn along with us too! Location is beautiful and just as described with lots of lovely places to visit whilst staying. Just the perfect stay. Thank you!

Lovely modern apartment set in beautiful peaceful and restful surroundings. Very clean with all facilities. Clear instructions for check-in and general instructions. Felt very at home. Easy to find and some manageable steps to property. Nice beach and amazing views. Within walking distance or five minute drive from Looe-which was our main interest. Would happily book again. We had a lovely week in Emily & Matt's flat. We liked that you can walk into town but also to Fistral beach & quieter areas. Great views - I enjoyed relaxing, reading in the bay window. I treated myself to swim & breakfast at Headland hotel (special offer).

It is almost under the viaduct but there is almost no sound from trains so do not let that put you off even if a light sleeper. Very convenient location for the centre of town.

My daughter and I stayed for a few days and the apartment was perfect. Great location, very close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Apartment was clean, tidy and looked exactly like the photos. View was beautiful! Has everything you would need. Paul was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. We had an amazing few days in St Ives and will definitely be staying at the apartment again in the future.

Evette was very flexible with our check in time, lovely and friendly and gave us great local recommendations. We were lucky enough to spend seven days in Beth's beautiful apartment. Now we say goodbye with a smile and a tear in our eye. The tear in our eye says "time to say goodbye," even though we don't want to leave just yet. The smile in our eye expresses our enthusiasm for our stay. We received a warm welcome; we lacked nothing. Beth has thought of everything. The apartment is a dream. And so is the view from the terrace. You could spend hours there, unwinding and watching the hustle and bustle on the beach. If you don't know Perranporth, you should definitely visit this little town. But even if you want to come back again, you should let this accommodation convince you. Smashing wee place with great access for walks around the area or just exploring Penryn itself and especially handy for cafes, takeaways restaurants and good pubs. It was nice to return to somewhere I'd been before and see how it had improved since 1979!
