This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We had a great time with the family because the house is ideal for this type of event. Everything is in accordance with the photos and the setting is beautiful.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

A beautiful moment of relaxation after a long motorcycle ride. Swimming pool, fountain, lights, pleasant and well-arranged natural space. a much appreciated breakfast to start the day. i recommend it.

Quiet stay in the countryside with background music, river singing. Great for stays in a large tribe. The house is spacious, very well equipped, moreover with taste. Nothing is missing and Tony and his wife are very friendly, available and attentive. Canoes allow a safe walk to discover the environment for all ages.

The accommodation is spacious and suitable for children. The location is perfect because it's close to very beautiful beaches. Lydie is responsive and attentive. We'll be happy to go back!

Very nice place, well thought out accommodation with the raised terrace overlooking the pool and a peaceful and beautiful view. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to meet the owner but in view of our exchanges by message I found the person very pleasant. I highly recommend this accommodation to people wishing to visit or enjoy the beach which is not far away. Thank you Cecile for this beautiful place that suited us very well. Beautiful Villa in a nice peaceful location

Beautiful house, very bright, in a beautiful environment facing Le Platin beach. We spent the Easter weekend there and enjoyed the view and the customs trail

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

we had a very good stay with Framboise. the house is cosy and practical. it is just about 8 minutes by bike to Le Chateaux d'Oleron. bakery and supermarket are not far away. communication with Framboise was easy and quick.

We were two families with 5 children in total and had a great stay at Stéphane's! The place is ideal, very well located, close to the beach. The children had a great time and the adults did too! A big thank you for the welcome and this beautiful moment of relaxation. We recommend it without hesitating!!!

I am delighted with the short stay we had at Cindy's place! I found it particularly pleasant to be greeted by Cindy and her husband who are really very friendly. The house is very clean, perfectly arranged, well equipped. The children were delighted to play on the trampoline, enjoy the garden and the game table. The environment is peaceful. Our hosts were very attentive... in short, nothing to complain about!

We enjoyed a relaxing stay for 8 nights whilst visiting my daughter & her family who live in the village. The little house, built we believe in 2023 was open-plan and quite spacious & light (with mostly electric shutters) with oven, induction hob & microwave. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water and very comfortable bedsettee. The description was as on the advert. The bungalow is opposite the owner's house with the pool immediately in front - which we did not use as we were out with my family a lot & then the weather cooled. Baker & butcher in village as well as an excellent cafe/small shop with all essentials. The owner & her husband were very welcoming and friendly & available if needed & appreciated a sampling of their lovely honey! If you enjoy the countryside tranquility and nature their garden is a haven for birdlife! No hesitation in recommending or rebooking. Thanks again!

A dreamlike house in the idyll of west France! We had a wonderful time as a family in the beautiful house Colibri in Médis. We are very thankful for Hélène and Delphine being warmly welcoming to us and tremendously friendly, uncomplicated and extremely helpful. The house is very beautiful, cozy and comfortable, the equipment and the garden are fantastically laid out. We look forward to being back very soon! All the best, Nell & Family

A very nice accommodation in a very nice village, on the edge of the estuary. Very clean, nicely decorated, with an outdoor plancha, a garden, a few chickens (in an enclosure) and a few cats that you will meet at random. Very discreet and very friendly owners. A tavern (Ma zo li) has recently opened just opposite (Thursday to Sunday): possibility of eating grilled meat or fish, mussels on Friday evening, having a drink, in a wooded place. At very affordable prices. The accommodation is ideally located for visiting Meshers, Talmont sur Gironde, Royan, Mornac sur Seudre, Mortagne sur Gironde (port).

We were delighted with our stay! The place is very clean and tastefully decorated! Everything is available, we did not miss anything. Friendly and warm welcome. We thank Sophie and her husband for the help provided at this end of the stay (vehicle problem).

Séverine has created a lovely gîte with great character, style and comfort. We stayed for two weeks and had everything we needed to feel at home. The gîte has a private back garden with table and chairs and a large area of parkland in front. It's in a peaceful location in the countryside but St Savinien is only a 10 min walk away and is one of the prettiest towns in the region. Lovely area for walking and cycling . Séverine and her husband Jean-Marc were great hosts.

Beautiful little house, well-equipped, clean and close to all amenities. Aurore and Michael are very friendly hosts and we had a pleasant time in this beautiful area.

We had a great time with the family for 4 days. The place is well maintained, clean, functional, in short nothing to complain about the accommodation. Check-in and check-out are very well organized thanks to Jacqueline and Laurent. There are a lot of tips. Another important point, the location is great with a fish market and many restaurants. Everything is done on foot and the bike paths are close. Thank you.
