Quinta de Portelada is a heavenly, quiet and well-located place for visiting the Douro region. The apartment is very well equipped, ultra clean and functional with a great view of the vineyards of the area. Unfortunately, we did not meet João because he was traveling but he was really quick to answer all our questions, Sonia who was there to welcome us was exemplary kindness and so accommodating throughout the stay, the lunches are really well stocked (ham,cheese, jam, juice, fresh fruit, breads and fresh croissant of the day) We highly recommend this oasis without any problem.

A spectacular house, we were 5 adults and 5 children and with plenty of space. Kitchen super-equipped and functional, very good and large rooms, closed garage and big fits 3 cars and although the time of year is not the ideal we still enjoy the fantastic pool that made children super happy. The communication with the owners was not in person but they were super explanatory and always ready to clarify a question. All 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

Our stay at Charlotte's was great! The house itself was better than expected - clean, lots of space, and fantastic views. We had everything we needed to have a peaceful few days in the region. Charlotte provided very clear instructions ahead of our visit and was very responsive to any needs. We would absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Vila Poucha. The location was amazing close to Regua but away from the hustle and bustle. You do really need a car to make the most of this location, we walked up the hillside to the Quinta de Barca vineyard (2km hilly walk) we also got the train from Caldas do Moledo a couple of times (35 minutes walk along a busy road). We were looking for a quite relaxed place where we could cook meals and enjoy time together and we got it! The Quinta is massive very comfortably would sleep 4 or 5 people. There was a large dining room that we didn't even use, most eating outside or in the kitchen. We helped ourselves to fresh limes and pomegranates, and bought and drank the lovely wines left for guests. We couldn't find a BBQ or Kettle, so bought them and left for future guests. Our only improvement would be some additional garden furniture, the terrace and balcony are real sun traps and I struggled to get comfortable. We'd love to stay again!

It was brilliant to be meters from the train line and still be able to see the river.

The vintage house is in the middle of the vineyards and has a large swimming pool with an amazing view of the valley!! The house is comfortable with a small kitchen, the outdoor spaces are very nice and the whole garden with orange trees, vines and fruit trees calls for relaxation and contemplation. Manuel and his wife are adorable. A beautiful place to stop and discover the Douro Valley.

Wow this is an outstanding apartment in the heart of Lamego! We used this as a base to explore the Douro region and it was perfect. We were always within 45 minutes driving distance to wherever we wanted to visit. Lamego itself has lots to see and experience. The town is easy to navigate and has many great restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. The views from the apartment are amazing! Everything is comfortable and well-appointed. Seriously, you are in for a treat if you book here. Also Fátima the host is incredibly hospitable! Cannot recommend this Airbnb enough. We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 10 and 1. There were even children’s toys and books at the apartment!

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Delightful spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro valley.

Clean, roomy and comfortable apartment. Great patio. Very good communication. Paula was at the apartment on our arrival to introduce the apartment. A nice port and cookies were provided gratis, which was appreciated. Breakfast provided every morning was tasty and convenient. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved Beatriz's place! We stayed in 4 different Airbnb's in Portugal on this trip, and Beatriz's place was our favorite by far. The listing pictures don't even show it as nice as it actually is. Well equipped, in a beautiful town, and the region is stunning. Highly recommend it, and we would love to come back again!

Beautiful brand new one bedroom apartment, with all the amenities, plus a few extras were left for us to enjoy. Easy walk to all the sites in Lamego. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in town, highly recommended.

Excellent, clean, and modern apartment! It had everything one could need, including a stocked kitchen with great coffee, a nice shower, and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the place overall was peaceful, which made it easy to rest. Parking was easily accessible at a nearby garage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Everything was perfect.

The place was outstanding!!! Sparkling clean and luxuriously equipped. I felt very pampered and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I can only recommend the apartment to anyone. My hosts were very patient and extremely friendly even though I arrived much later than planned.

We loved our stay at Elisabete’s place . She and her husband are good people . Elisabete also arranged for a late night taxi back to the airport . The apartment is spotless , clean and is located perfectly for the ones without a car . There was good heating and air conditioning . The location is exceptional and the best in the area for the ones without a car . There are two huge supermarkets ( Continente and Lidl ) within immediate vicinity . Also there are lovely restaurants within walking distance . Burger King is 5 mins walk away . Public transport ( Bus ) is a 15 min walk away . And the lovely picturesque town of Amarante is 15 mins walk away . Our three little kids enjoyed their walk to the centre of Amarante . We used public transport to get to Guimaraes, Porto and the train station . On days when we wanted to stay at home , we simply enjoyed the unobstructed view from the balcony with a glass of a cool drink . We have stayed in many Air bnbs but this is the best so far .
